To date, this is the best hostel I have ever been to. I stayed in a female dorm that had showers and toilet in the room. Facilities were very modern, they looked very new and very well looked after. It was very clean. Staff was very friendly. I could store my belongings in the room (bring your own padlock) and also in the crates that are at the reception when I checked out (ensure that you have your own padlock to use them)
The location of the hostel was really good in my opinion: supermarket, restaurants and cafes were nearly. Also the bus station was within 5 min walking distance (here you can catch the bus to go to the airport) and the same for the train station (trains from this station are direct to Venice so you can be in Venice city center in 20 to 30 minutes for about 2 euros each way)
I would highly recommend this hostel.

My stay at Anda was very pleasant. The rooms are cleaned daily, the atmosphere is nice and cozy and parties are being thrown quite often, so it is a great place to meet other travellers as well. There is also a small kitchen where you can cook and a room with washing and drying machines, where you need to pay with coins. Overall I would recommend.

The Anda Venice Hostel is a stylish hostel near the train station in Mestre. There are daily events, food and there is always something going on. Wifi is good (except at reception). The lockers were super helpful. I had my own lock with me, but you could have bought one. There are lots of corners to chill out in or where you can work remotely. However, music is playing everywhere and there is no real place to retreat.

The dorm was very chic and there were bed boxes with the option to lock them. 2 showers in the room for 9 people were OK, 1 toilet a bit small. Breakfast cost 7 euros extra if booked in advance at check-in and 8 euros if booked in the morning. Simple, but OK and in buffet form. There was art hanging everywhere in the hallways. I liked that. There were free earplugs at reception, which I absolutely needed for night 2 due to the very loud, drunk "roommates".

The hostel cannot be blamed for the lack of empathy of some guests who were drunk and shouting at each other at 4:30 in the morning, slamming doors and constantly bringing strangers into their rooms and, when they were completely drunk, simply throwing their clothes and vodka bottles into the hallway. But the daily partying certainly fuels such drinking binges. Towel rental costs 5 euros. You have to make the bed yourself. Only one window could be tilted. Some "roommates" had hygiene problems and the constant smell of cheesy feet was due to the bad air. There was a welcome drink: unfortunately there was only a choice of Prosecco or Pepsi Cola. There was no sugar-free version and there was no chance of getting another soft drink like water or Pepsi Zero. The bartender refused to do anything. The hostel is so well organized overall that this rigid restriction is all the more strange. 4.5 out of 5 stars!

We arrived at the hostel to a lovely welcome and more importantly, a free drink token. The staff were informative and incredibly helpful.

We were in a 6 bed dorm. The bunks come with a personal lamp and charging point which was handy. The rooms were very clean and organised. The room had separate toilet and shower rooms, however having the sinks in the open room rather than the bathroom was noisy during the night.

The communal area on weekends is “transformed into a club atmosphere” in which stock music is blared far too loudly for the diminishing audience. The crowd would perhaps not have disappeared if the bar didn’t charge €10 for a bland mojito and if the bartender done his job rather than try to impress guests with a repetitive bottle spinning routine.

The hostel is near Mestre train station and is also nearby a bus stop. For backpackers the hostel is adequate but perhaps lacks the social aspect, especially as the main “club” event is a spectacular letdown.

Thank you for your feedback Liam! We are happy that you shared your experience with us :) Yes we decided to welcome all Guests with a free drink, thanks to highlight it! One of our priorities is to make sure our cleaning standards are always high :) Batrhoom is ensuite and tripartite; the sinks are separated by toilet and shower and many Guests love this decision because they don't have to wait during the morning. We host daily events: Monday live Karaoke, Tuesday Beerpong, Wednsday Urban garden dj-set, Thuesday Live Music concert with emerging bands etc... we have wonderful feedbacks about our social events :) Maybe you dind't like the music but htis is subjective and we have Guests that choose us agian and agian and again because of the social athmosfere. We love when our bartender shows his skills <3 but we are going to tell him to do it less often ;) Many thanks! Gianluca (Anda Venice Team)

Nice large hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in the 9 bed female dorm and it was clean with plenty of storage space. They also have everything you need including locks, towels, laundry etc. to purchase. The train station is very close and it’s easy to travel into Venice, or elsewhere in Italy!

The breakfast is unappealing (rubbery eggs, stale bread), so I would skip that and get food elsewhere. Also this is not a youth hostel…I learned that from the 50 year old woman in my room who walked around in a thong lol

I was staying at the hostel for 3 days, the structure is really good, they have really good rooms and facilities. However someone took money from my packback while I was sleeping, I understand that there is not much to do. They charge 6 euros for breakfast, I don't really think it worth the price - there is not much option to eat. Trains from/to Venice are not 24/7, I saw somewhere that I was.

Genuinely one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. Paid about £12 per night and was a 10 minute and £2 train ride away from the Venice canals. Quite refreshing to feel like I’ve got a bargain compared to the rest of Venice. Some shady regular characters on the street corners at night but the hostel itself is clean, chilled and great facilities. Nice to see the rooms around 50% capacity with everything going on. Maybe a little early in the pandemic to be doing a DJ night though, my only criticism.

Stayed here for a week in a private double room and could not have been more satisfied!! The room was clean, comfortable and perfect location - a 3 min walk to the bus/train station. We could not fault the staff one bit - all super friendly, funny, helpful and interacted with us every evening in the bar, playing table football and sitting chatting. Really cheap drinks and have pizza available for an evening snack! A lovely outside seating area - which on Wednesday and Fridays has a DJ with a variety of music as well as an outside bar. The communal kitchen does that job and is handy for saving money vs eating out. There are shops within walking distance and plenty of restaurants. This hostel has made up our mind to return again to Venice as we loved the atmosphere so much!

Excellent hostel for young people and adults, try to accommodate the noise.

The facilities are of high quality, in perfect building and sanitary conditions. The rooms provide ample personal storage space (1 suitcase of 23 kg + backpack), you can also use the lockers located downstairs in case of more space. Very comfortable showers and toilet, 2 washrooms, hair dryer and sheets provided.

The views from the rooms are pleasant, good light entry and its arrival is also good, 3 elevators to get around.

They offer a continental breakfast for 5 euros that is very abundant and their kitchens meet what is necessary for their guests.

IMPORTANT: It is a hostel aimed at young people, its dining room becomes a bowling alley some nights and on all other nights there is noise, parties, etc. until 1-2 am, to keep in mind.

I've stayed in this hostel for 2 nights and it was a lovely stay. The location is great and it's just few minutes to many restaurants around the area, bus stop and train station. I've bought ticket to Santa Lucia to access the island and visit Venice. They have good breakfast and also nice bakeries across, so it was helpful to pass by before my long journey. The room was alright as it is expected in most European cities. The front desk team was really friendly, helpful and courteous. I was offered a free glass of wine during check in and they have dj during the night. The lobby is nicely lit and decorated. They also have a coffee vending machine on the ground floor. I would highly recommend this hostel if you want to visit Venice and don't want to stay in the main island
