I stayed in Room 210 in May 2011

Pros
1. Nearly everything was in very good/excellent condition 9/10 the fridge I think was not working otherwise 10/10.
2. On arrival my room was very clean but the fridge was not too clean and also one of the days I am sure my towes were not changed as I could see the crease marks I made the day before so 8/10
3. There is a safe in your room so no need to carry passport etc..
4. Close to bus stop, buses during the day are frequent every 10 mins - number 6 or 6/ takes you into Venice.
5. There is a supermarket near by and lots of cafes
6. Room, Bathroom inc shower and Bed was spacious.
7. Good value I paid 45 Euro per night much cheaper than Paris

Cons
1. Big negative - Noisy - walls are thin and there were days where it sounded like there was a plumber upstairs.banging pipes etc...
2. Travel instructions/directions were very poor examples include;
2a There is a number 6 and number 6/ and some of them don't stop at the end of the street so you need to get off a stop before - I was not told this and could have got off at the wrong stop.
2b Thursdays and Saturdays there is a huge market, this stops the buses coming in so you need to walk to the next bus stop - again I was not told this; lucky I was not in a rush to get to the airport.
2c The No 15 bus takes you to the airport but on Sundays it's every hour, again I wsa not told this, quite important as I need to catch my flight on time.
3. No fee map - when I stayed in Rome and Paris the hotel provided free maps.
4. Level of English of staff not too good, would have expected better from a hotel.
5. You could lock yourself out, if you left your keys in your room and came out and the door shut.
6 No Kettle or Micorwave

Not sure if I should put this as a pro or a con, next door is a bar which can get quite noisy. Don't buy the map at the ticket office as it does not give you all the streets whichm means you can get lost in Venice.

Probably better as a BnB then a hotel, it's the same 3 staff that do everything from reception to serving & papering breakfast to room service (if that's what you'd call it) cleanish but no fridge in room & bath & shower are a bit dated, close to bus n train that takes you right into Venice witch is great, but don't think there big fans of southern Italians & unfortunately made my husband feel very uncomfortable as we picked this up quite quickly

A typical Italian hotel halt. To stay OK
Air is indoors and is regular. Breakfast also OK. The distance to Venice is about 15-20 min drive. Somewhat quiet clean rooms and very courteous staff. Overall decent

I watched as the owner (I think) poured the juices from the jugs into the cartons after the breakfasts!! Furthermore, the management is crazy, we had booked months in advance and they made us move to another of their hotels in a smaller room to accommodate a friend of theirs! Crazy.

NICE hotel - Nice indeed...
We stayed here for a night.. the hotel is beautifully decorated... delicate and pretty decor... the room was clean.. ample of light.. staff is very friendly, they let us check-in an hour early... did not try the breakfast as we left pretty early in the morning... Bus/tram stop is 3-4 mins from the hotel...
we are happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel...

Wonderful staff, adorable room, good wifi, and yummy breakfast all for a good price! It is away from the tourist area which, for me, is a plus. Everyone was so friendly and George even ordered pizza for us since we didn't speak Italian. Susanna was very accommodating and we will be back!

We booked with one of the sister hotels but they were overbooked and it was not until we arrived that we were told we had to move, this wasn't the best start to the trip.

The day staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good with a nice spread. Probably the best breakfast we had while travelling around Italy.

The room unfortunately was right next to reception, and while it was clean the noise was very annoying and we were also very conscious of the noise we made in the room.

Location is off the the Island but it is a relatively easy trip by bus even late into the night, but there isn't anything else around the hotel.

Overall I would recommend the place and I would consider staying here again, though I would look around first before deciding on staying here.

"Nice Hotel" the name says it all. The hotel is located in a quiet and nice area. 15 minutes walk from the train station and 1 minute to the bus stop to Venice (Bus no.6L). Hotel staffs were very friendly and accommodating. The owner is a fantastic man who looked into all our needs personally. It's a nice, small and cosy hotel. When we have plans of going back to Venice than this would be the only hotel we would like to go back too.
