Good little hotel. 20mins by bus to cental venice (bus 6/ ) every 20mins. Last bus from venice to hotel (stop beccaria) 920pm. The local restuarants are good and cheap, far better than venice food. Best to get the bus from airport to mestre train station then taxi for 15 euros. All in 21euros. Better than paying 40euros. Taxis expensive, food in venice expensive and poor in quality. Top tip buy a transport pass, bus travel and water buses free to use with the time on the pass.

This hotel is located 25-30 minutes by walk from Mestre train station. It is a simple hotel with friendly staff who speak very little English but they try to help as much as they can. The hotel is about 2 minutes by walk from the bus stop to Venice (it takes about 20 mins - bus nr. 6/) The staff at reception sold us return bus tickets (€2.60 return per person) to Venice so we did not have to worry about this at all. We just activated them on the bus. There was a free WIFI, however the connection was poor.
The room itself was spacious, with desk, the en-suite bathroom was a bit small (free toiletries) and it would need some renovation but it is fine for a short stay. There was only a ceiling fan working that was quite loud especially at night. A nice touch was also a small bag with cookies to welcome you.
I would recommend this place but bare in mind that this is 2.5-3 star accommodation, no luxury at all. It is really simple. Also if you are considering staying in a hotel in Venice be ready for pulling/carrying your suitcases up and down the stairs and bridges like we saw many tourists did. Also Venice itself is like a maze. You need a map if you do not know the area. I thought we could figure out without one but we ended up buying one after about an hour just walking around not knowing where we were.

We didn't have a great start to our experience with the hotel mostly because we couldn't find it! We are travelling for a long time, through a lot of countries and so don't have a SIM card in our phone, hence no google. So we just looked at the address on the booking form we had printed out and it said it Mestre. When you get out of the train station, you have 2 choices one way for Marghera, one way for Mestre. We took the Mestre way and after talking with locals we worked out it was the Marghera way but a taxi driver then wrongly told us it was only a 500m walk so we walked- with 4 suitcases and 2 kids only to discover it was about 25-30 minutes away! Later when we got a taxi back it cost 15euro plus 1 euro per bag-an absolute ripoff but better than walking!
The actual hotel is nothing special but I looked a bit for other places and they were more expensive and probably not as good as this one so for what it is it was a good choice.
As others have already mentioned it is about a 20minute bus ride to Venice island and the owner sold us the bus tickets. On Saturday morning there is a pretty substantial market nearby, food, clothes, shoes etc. Was fun to wander through. Overall would choose to stay outside of Venice again as I saw people carrying suitcases up and down the stairs and I didn't envy them!

A very polite man and a lady who seem to do a lot of team work run this place. The rooms were affordable and super clean. We stayed there for a week in order to visit Venice City. When you leave the hotel and walk towards the right you'll find trams and buses going to various places at a 2 minute walk.
When you enter the directions to Venice using google maps, at roughly a 6 -7 minute walk there is a bus stop which has a bus that directly goes to Venice in only 4 stops. Therefore the Hotel is a convinient place to stay. Please do bare in mind when the last busses back are though, otherwise you may have to travel to Mestre and then take a cab from there at late night.
The hotel itself was clean and the wifi was good. The download speed was good (not so much the upload speed though but we didn't really need that). The man (I wish I knew his name) was super sweet and welcoming every single day. Anything we needed such as extra pillows was provided to us super fast and with a joke or a smile. Before we left they even asked us if we had fun. They also directed us how to get to the airports which shows they were well aware on how to direct travelers to their destinations. The only issue was that they didn't speak English but then again we didnt speak Italian and hand gestures did most of the work so it was all good.
Most of all, it was affordable. When you're traveling to Venice you'll realise pretty quickly that it's expensive there and you need to save all the money you can. Somewhere hygenic and useful like this is definetely a bonus. Downstairs in the breakfast room they also have a coffee machine and a snack vending machine which gives you cold bottles of water for only 50 cents. The room was air conditioned throughout the night and they only switched this off during the day for a few hours whilst cleaning.
I would definetely recomment staying here for their lovely hospitality and cleanliness.

My family stayed here for 3 days. The hotel staff gave us a crib for no extra charge! Rooms are adequate size for an extra bed or crib. Very clean! There is an extra shower and toilet in the hallway just in case someone needs to shower at the same time. Small eating area with vending machine. No breakfast included, but an easy bus ride to a supermarket. Excellent restaurant 1 minute away with great food and reasonable prices. Bus stop is a 3 minute walk and within 10-15 minutes you are in Venice. Staff is very friendly and helpful to all our needs! Highly recommended!!!!!

This is not the Four Seasons, but it is an excellent budget hotel. The room we stayed in and the hotel itself is impeccably clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to public transit into Venice via a 20 minute bus ride. Bus tickets can be purchased at reception. Good restaurants close by supplement no onsite food options. If you are looking for a simple, reasonably priced place outside the craziness of Venice, this place is for you.

This is an excellent place to stay. Really clean and tidy, very pleasant hosts (I felt more like I was in their home) and great access to Venice. The room had all the essentials and had been cleaned to a high standard. The internet was good, as was the ceiling fan. After I closed those shutters I slept for 12 hours, in fact I felt so refreshed I walked into Venice the next day (not easy or recommended, although arriving on foot over that huge bridge was incredibly rewarding!) There is a tram just round the corner that can do the same journey in about 20 minutes. There is also a very, very good pizza place just round the corner (Gigi).

Cute little hotel, a little bit hidden in Marghera, Italy. Though the guy at the reception didn't speak English, we did along fine! He gave us very helpful information, about how to get to Venice, he even had public transport tickets, because we didn't know where to buy those when we arrived there. Wi-fi in the room worked perfect, so did the AC. And we were safe from musquitos :-)... Great! And they only have one star!!! Hairdryer in the bathroom, slippers in the room for each one of us, a sweet little present on the table for the guests... Everything was just perfect.
