You can catch the boat to go to Positano, Amalfi...which is much more convenient and plaisant than the bus because the road along the coast is very narrow and tortuous. The boat is 10min walk from the hotel (going from one end of the beach where the hotel is to the other end where the small port is at the other end of the beach) - the city centre is 5min away, walking distance.
