This hotel is special. Tucked in a quiet area of the old city of Lecce, it is part luxury hotel, part museum. The design is sleek contemporary with authentic limestone and wood throughout. The outside garden is beautiful: sculpture, lush green lawns, lounge chairs, umbrellas and seating, a great pool and a resident yellow lab that made me feel like I was home. An authentic Puglia breakfast was on offer with the addition of, per my husband "the best omelet I've ever had" and he's had many. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. We were on a biking trip and they handled the storage and access of our bikes at will. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Mille Grazie!

It's hard to explain this property. It has all the facilities of a small hotel but it is like staying in a warm and friendly guesthouse or even someone's home. We had a room upgrade and it was spectacular with a vaulted ceiling. Although our room door entered into a public lounge it was super quiet. Breakfast was delicious (especially the local cheeses). We really loved the opportunity to visit the family art gallery and enjoy some home-made bruschetta (delicious). The only downside is that we had a little difficulty finding it but our car GPS was not very accurate we found google maps more accurate. Once we arrived the car was parked for us off the street. The location was excellent and the beautiful laneways of Lecce are simply beautiful. I wish we had been there when it was not low season so we could have seen more of the lovely little shops.

Beautiful property. But unfortunately AC in one of the rooms (room 10) we rented didn't work. We complained many times and they send repair people but no improvement. Also in two out four rooms that we rented shower didn't work well. Hot water pressure is non existent and we pretty much had to take cold shower in room 9 and 10. The other two rooms where everything worked were in the secondary building and they were fine. One would expect to be able to shower in the hotel positioning itself as luxury and charging over 600 Euro per night

If you aren't the wealthiest guy in the room don't expect to get any attention or help from the desk clerks or the owners (although the breakfast people are very nice). We were talking with the front desk people about an allergic reaction that my wife had to their soap. They suggested that she use the conditioner (same scents) and then walked away from us when another (and, as we learned later when walking to their other property with him) far wealthier patron walked through the door.

The highlight of our trip to Puglia, both the hotel and Lecce itself. We were lucky enough to be taken on a guided tour of the family museum close by, which was breathtaking. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, extremely tastefully decorated, service minded, attention to detail and authentic. The garden and the pool were both gorgeous and the location perfect for soaking up all that Lecce has to offer. Secure, free parking and an amazing guest relations manager (Francesca) added to the whole experience.

Wonderful hotel - and one of the few places in Puglia where we didn't feel nicked and dimed or that we were paying tourists prices.
When we arrived, 11 pm, they offered us a light collation which was amazing! and FREE!
They were very helpful. I strongly recommend the Lecce walking tour when you arrive. It will make your whole stay better.
Their breakfast was the best among the 3 5-star hotels we stayed at in the region.
Only 1 thing I would improve: the 10-course tasting menu in their restaurant has humongous amounts of food. We felt really bad after it. It's 10 items that are as big as a normal restaurant's main dish. Ouch!
Oh and I went in person and sat with the concierge to plan a winery visiting day ... waited for them to organize it....and the day of the tour it turns out they had forgotten to do anything about it. Not their brightest moment. I guess it happens.

As others have mentioned, the breakfast people are delightful. Perhaps they should run this hotel. Instead it's run by a wealthy Italian family as their pet project, but frankly feels more like an expensive guest house where the guests are a bother once they have provided their credit cards.
This is not a 5-star experience, from the bedding to the towels to the cheap soaps in the bathroom. The expectations are set by the pricing and if this hotel were less expensive I would have no problem giving them a higher review, but they are charging 5-star rates for 2-star service.
Their photos online are very deceptive. The rooms look huge, and they market a very basic small room as a "junior suite" which overlooks the entry area and hallway. I think if they were more realistic in how they portray and describe the rooms it would lead to less guest disappointment based on our experience and the reviews. And no way will they move you to a nicer room... this is what you booked, and this is what you get, goodbye we have things to do.
This property has potential if it were better managed, but given the prices, the value is not on offer. Let's wait for the management response to this review. Somehow it will be my fault "If you want a suite, book a suite" without really any intention of taking the constructive feedback many guests have provided, and implementing changes.

Beautifully renovated palazzo in a great location in the very walkable and historic old town of Lecce. Many great restaurants within an easy 3-10 minute walk from this lovely hotel. Our room overlooked the outside terrace where breakfast was served during warmer weather. With cooler temperatures, breakfast is served in one of the stunning drawing rooms. Modern features: updated bathrooms, WiFi,and it was easy to charge electronics. Beautiful rooftop bar with stunning views. Above all, the service was exceptional. The entire staff was very warm, highly professional, knowledgeable, kind, and most accommodating. They all went above and beyond! Special acknowledgment is given to both Benedetta and Anna who treated us like beloved famiky members. They made a special effort to get to know us, and made great restaurant and shopping recommendations. I would highly recommend staying at this palazzo to my family and friends visiting Puglia.

Yes- they definitely do offer this service. One can walk to the beach, but it is not very scenic as most of the time you are walking on the road. There are a couple of restaurants nearby (walking distance) but mostly you need transportation. We enjoyed having a rental car as it gave us a lot of flexibility.
