The best stay we've had in a long time. Roberto is the perfect host - knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, and customer service focussed - he really couldn't have done anything more to make our stay perfect. The location is ideal for those visiting Lecce, the rooms are of a very high standard and we felt relaxed from the minute we were welcomed. Would highly recommend and would definitely want to stay again. Take Roberto's restaurant recommendations for some of the best Italian food we've ever had. He knows a thing or two about wines as well ;o)

This property is located just inside the historic walled city. Easy walking to countless restaurants, shops, and the historical sites and churches. Communication with Roberto is excellent and easy - by email and WhatsApp. His parking suggestions are helpful. Roberto asks you what you want for breakfast, and he procures it fresh each day. Pastries, breads, yogurt, fruits, etc. Only 4 rooms, we had one at the back off of the kitchen. Our room was large and comfortable with a king-sized bed. The bathroom is a little small but functional. The room has lots of plugs, and there is wifi, albeit weaker at times - to be expected with the ancient stone walls. This is a great choice when visiting Lecce.

One of the best B&B’s we have ever stayed in.
Roberto was the perfect host, we stayed in a fabulous room with beautiful high vaulted ceiling, really comfy beds and pillows. Roberto gave us lots of information about Lecce, advice on where to eat, he even booked us a private transfer back to Brindisi Airport, we will definitely be back.

La Bella Lecce was located in the middle of the old town within walking distance to everything. Large room and bathroom, but unfortunately without windows, so I couldn't see if it was night or day or if it was sunny or rainy. Was offered to change after the first night, as internet did not work in my room. They offered to take care of everything, but thought it was too much hassle, as I was only staying one more night – and this would have meant that they had to change bed linen, towels etc, so declined. I could sit in the reception are, where the internet worked fine. Nice and accommodating host. Very nice breakfast, but wish I had known I could have gotten cheese instead of jam for breakfast, but good fruit and good coffee 😊.

I am giving three stars for the good things already mentioned by others: good location, clean and for me having a tea pot is a must for my evening tea.
My experience was not that good because first off I didn't get the room I reserved: the one with the orange covers, instead I got the one in the back next to the kitchen. In the end it was ok, because it was quiet BUT on the third day I discovered water on the bathroom floor and immediately reported to the owner. He supposedly fixed, but the next day the problem was worse, the toilet wouldn't flush. He was going to move me to another room, but he didn't (because of some lame excuses that his guests were regulars!). He eventually did moved me to another room but I had had enough. The shower was tiny and water was leaking out. I was tired of having to dry floors, so I decided to leave one day early. I had already paid in full a week in advance. Roberto was helpful when I arrived, but I don't appreciate the fact that I had to deal with so many issues.

Dear Marie, Thank you for choosing La Bella Lecce and for leaving your review. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your overall stay in Lecce. Due to the booking system in general, we can take the room preference when customers book, but we can never guarantee the chosen room. Like many Hotels, we need to keep the flexibility to assign the room available on the day of your arrival, (our rooms are all double en-suites, with the same price and standard). However, reviewing our communications, I did not see your preference for the orange room. When you arrived you chose between the two rooms available. The next morning, the room you preferred became available which you declined because you were very happy with your current choice. On the third day, you called me late evening time stating that there was a water leakage from the top of the water cistern in the lavatory. I immediately came to check and found that there was a little water on the floor which I couldn’t resolve without the services of a plumber. After I dried the leak, the toilet flush was working fine and I left resolving the situation until the morning where I could return with a professional. The room was cleaned and dried by our professional team as always. In the morning you asked me to move into the other room, but it was already occupied by another customer for a last minute stay. This was peak season in August and thankfully not a ‘lame’ excuse, as we don’t have special or regular customers in particluar. We treat and welcome every guest warmly and with thanks. The day after I moved you into the other room as requested when it became available. However, you left a day earlier, without any communcation or advising me of your departure at all. I could have refunded you back the night you lost, I never want my customers to leave unhappy or especially without a goodbye. Concerned, I called the language school where you were studying to find out if you were ok and reported there as usual. At this point I still didn’t understand if you had permentantly vacated the room or if you were coming back. Unsurprisingly, the school told me that they had asked you to leave early due to the many problems you were creating for them. They told me that they had offered you a refund and to not attend the course the following day. I always encourage feedback on how I can keep on improving my service offering but unfortuantely this time a technicality just simply went wrong late at night (which I attended to straight away). I’m just confused as to why you would badly review my business to cover for your bad experience at the language school, the real reason you had to leave early. Excellent experience in this beautiful place. Roberto, our super attentive host....made us breakfast personally....a love of person! Roberto made our stay very relaxing. The rooms are a nice size with clean bathrooms. Breakfast is different very morning, good start to the day. The location is great, close to the old city center. All our rooms in both location are very quite and central, there is manly some difference with prices since some room is larger then some otherone, but in both places I could make sure to give you the quitest room.
I can offer you a quite room at La Bella Lecce B&B for 60 euro per night per room, breakfast included. I ll make sure it won't be the one facing the street even if we are in a quite and pedestrian area. Or I could offer you the Negramaro Room at La Bella Lecce rooms, for 80 euro per night per room including breakfast. Please let me know what the best option would be for you. Thank you. Roberto
