Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I cannot begin to express how lovely Palazzo Zimara and their staff were to my friend and I when we stayed there. Upon arrival, they prepared a fan (in addition to AC) in our room per our request. The bed and linens were fresh, comfortable, and clean. The shower also had perfect water pressure. The hotel newly opened in June 2024 with beautiful architecture that will take your breath away. No finish was overlooked, and the combination of glass with old limestone throughout is exceptional. Beyond the room and hotel itself, the highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They helped us find restaurants, shops, they booked a parking lot for us to keep our rental car, and they helped my friend locate/translate medicine when she wasn’t feeling well. Truly 10/10 service and stay. Could not recommend more. The Palazzo is also perfectly located in central Lecce. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. Fresh juices, omelettes, fruit, pancakes, the works. Don’t hesitate to book!

Dear Hannah, Thank you so much for your fantastic review and for taking the time to share your experience at Palazzo Zimara! We are thrilled to hear that you and your friend had such a wonderful stay and that you found our hotel and staff to be exceptional. We’re delighted that the room amenities, including the fan and the comfortable bed, met your needs, and that you enjoyed the shower and the beautiful architecture of our newly opened hotel. It’s wonderful to know that the combination of glass and old limestone left a lasting impression. We are especially proud of our concierge service, which truly is the crown jewel of our hospitality. We’re pleased that our team could assist you with restaurant recommendations, parking, and even locating medicine for your friend. Beautifully restored and decorated hotel that just opened in 2024. The building was originally built in the 1500s and the original architecture is magnificent and something to be adored. Location is perfect, in the historic city center. There is a paid car park that is about 6-7 minutes walking, that the hotel will advise you on. Our room and bed was very comfortable. The service was impeccable, no request was ever too big, and I personally enjoyed the ongoing communication through WhatsApp. Breakfast is included in your stay and everything we had was delicious and accompanied again by top-notch service. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to see you again!

As you open the simple large green wooden door you enter an oasis of charm and stunning design features within this stunning palazzo in the heart of Lecce.
We had stumbled across this delightful hotel by accident after it had only just opened and how lucky we were.
Impeccable service from time of booking till after our departure. David, in the concierge team met us at the Porto Rudiae and helped us with our luggage and car parking. We were given an upgrade to the most exquisite suite with a bathroom to die for, a huge sitting room and vast bedroom with a large bath in one corner. Enormous and fabulously comfortable bed with excellent linen and good pillows. Each room and suite is individually designed and focuses on the architectural elements of the space, ours was the beautiful vaulted brick ceiling. Every comfort was provided for in the bathroom and their personalised bathing products are fabulous. The hand written personalised note was a lovely extra touch. Andrea looked after us so well in the bar and gave us the most delicious breakfast in the very pretty garden within the palazzo’s courtyard. We were served everything from delicious home made bread to eggs, fruit, yoghurt and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
The hotel also houses the La Bocca restaurant which we stupidly didn’t book which by all accounts was a big mistake. We did however sample some of their delicious snacks. All in all an unforgettable experience.

Nothing to object but everything to be enhanced to the maximum: location, environment, rooms, staff. Location of the central building, finely restored environment, excellent rooms and tastefully finished. The staff (all) welcoming, kind, affectionate, helpful and so on and so forth!
The room they make us allocated is superb. Equipped with a private terrace, bathroom with double classic shower and above all, an adjoining environment equipped with a private mini pool which is accessed directly from the bathroom. A wonder a real pleasure!!
Inside the hotel is located the restaurant "La Bocca". The waiting staff is courteous, polite, present but not intrusive and very professional. As for the kitchen, the chef elaborates recipes and dishes of high quality and even for those who, like me, tend to a traditional menu (at least as far as the items on the menu) the culinary surprise and taste is amazing! Nothing disappoints, indeed, enhances the taste buds and appeases and totally satisfies the sins of gluttony!!!! You can not give up eating in the restaurant!

A magnificent historic building in the heart of Lecce, restored and decorated with taste; it preserves its original sumptuousness and its naturally luxurious character thanks to decorations, frescoes and the white leccisu stone. It is pleasant to get lost in the maze of stairs and walkways. The rooms are equally sumptuous and equipped with comforts, with bathrooms that become an experience: have you ever taken a shower going down an incunabulum of stairs? The service is excellent, totally customer-oriented.
To start your day in the silence of the small and precious hortus conclusus among orange and lemon trees is priceless, just as to admire the sunset among the plants and over the roofs of the old city from the privacy of your own terrace.

Spending time inside Palazzo Zimara is an exclusive and totally personalized experience.
The structure, strategically located in the historic center of Lecce, is a treasure chest in the typical Lecce Baroque, which preserves inside elegant suites, which combine the original style of the structure with modern design elements.
The staff, elegant and discreet, is attentive to the needs of customers, such as to anticipate their requests and wishes.
The time spent in Palazzo Zimara cannot be told but only lived.
It is an experience and a feeling that leaves you a memory that you can’t wait to relive soon.
Structure recommended without reservation!

The design of the hotel beautifully blends modern elements into the interior while maintaining the authenticity of the historical building.
The high ceiling rooms, which are equipped with spacious, comfortable beds and designed with great attention to detail, provide a luxurious feel.
The staff were more friendly and helpful than I could have imagined.
The breakfast was so good, we came back from the airport, after checking into our flight, to enjoy the breakfast in the gorgeous inner courtyard of the hotel.

We had the enormous pleasure of being guests at Palazzo Zimara, even if only for one night... big mistake!! We should have stayed at least 3 nights! The service is first level, the staff friendly, affable and helpful, but without falling into that "servility" that sometimes occurs in hotels of a certain type. Breakfast of the highest level with friendly and prepared waitstaff, offers an à la carte menu instead of the canonical buffet , and really worth it. We look forward to returning. I didn’t even mention how centrally located the hotel is, it’s in the heart of Lecce. 10 and praise.
