Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed in this masseria for 8 nights with a family with 2 teenagers. What stood out for us was the very friendly personnel, beautiful pool (which of course our kids liked a lot and was cleaned daily), convenient location, spacious room and sitting by the fire with a glass of limoncello in the evenings.

We booked a family room (#26) and were given 2 options when we checked in, which was really nice. We opted for room 26 which did not have a 'garden' area but was bigger and more of a separate sleeping area for our kids (the free standing bathtub looked very nice but we didn't use it).

Would qualify it between 4 and 5 stars. Reason for not giving 5 is that in some cases items in the hotel felt a bit 'worn' and we would have liked a bit more variation on the menu (although Gino made a special salad for us :) )

The location is very good, close to Lecce (10 euro with a taxi one way) which is beautiful with very nice restaurants. We also explored a beachclub at Porto Cesareo (Bahia), Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca for a nice boat tour to the caves and Otranto, another lovely town with great food (Fronte Mare was great). There is a car rental company (Morini) 20 minutes walk from the masseria which was convenient.

The hotel has an excellent swimming pool. Grounds are nice and they have nice restaurant and courtyard for sitting in. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms a bit dark and tired could do with a refit. Bed very high which is strange. Our room had the bed on a platform above the seating area. This looks nice but when your half asleep at 3.00am it requires more concentration to navigate the staircase to go to the toilet. The Moroccan theme of the décor is nice. Breakfast has a large choice and is ok. We did not eat in the restaurant for dinner but it was nice that the choice was there as a number of the hotels we stayed in did not have a restaurant open apart from breakfast. It is on the outskirts of Lecci and you can either take your car in or a taxi will cost 15 euros each way. It is too far to walk. An interesting hotel that could do with rooms upgraded. Despite that I would happily stay there again as it is in a very good location for exploring the area, has a amazing swimming pool and very friendly and helpful staff.

We travel a lot and 5 stars for this farm are few. It is full of charm in every moment of the day, from the rich, genuine and artisanal breakfast of chef Giuliana, to the excellent dinner by the pool with a thousand soft lights and candles served by Maitre Gino. The original Moorish-style rooms are charming. If you have time, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful and relaxing spa included in the booking. Greetings to the reception staff who are always smiling, ready for requests and professional. See you soon.

We need to clarify...
Characteristic place for Moroccan style furnishings, large and really beautiful pool, equipped with comfort.
Well-kept and clean outdoor areas.
Staff (except one) courteous, reserved and very helpful.
Owner, flagship of the entire structure. A person with enormous savoir faire, a sense of welcome and a strong sense of problem solving.
Demerits....
The rooms need maintenance, present furniture of sure scenic effect, but smelly and dirty. Toilets... to be redone. Very little lighting.
Breakfast, sore note, partly offers frozen and poorly heated products, generally little variety.
Sore note, the bad manners of the kitchen manager.
Definitely not fit for such a job.
In front of a note made to the management for a breakfast little varied and fresh, compared to what a 4-star hotel should offer, we found ourselves at the table with being arrogant, to know what we did not like about his breakfast.
She reacted aggressively to our motives, insisting on her explanations, forcing us to remove her from the table in a peremptory manner.
In conclusion we give 3 stars only for the seriousness of the owner and her staff.

I do not like to post negatively but it was all the positive reviews that helped me decide to book this Masseria and they were very misleading. The staff could not be nicer but the place is in need of a total facelift if it is to retain a 4 star rating.
The floors in our room and through the property are badly scuffed and cracked. In our room the ceiling needed repair and the mattress was a thin hard slab. On the other hand the upholstery inside and outside our room was so worn you sink in.
I have visited Morocco several times and the decor is one of my favorites styles but here the decor is just dark and drab now- not the vivid spice colors of Marrakech. We had dinner one night and sadly it was just average at best. To be honest we had booked a stay of 4 nights but left after the first night as we were very disappointed.
This could be a wonderful property with a total update.

The staff is very friendly. The grounds have a unique character and decor. The pool is huge and has a beach feel because of the slope. Rooms have a lot of character. The poolside restaurant is really good and is available for all meals. All in all is an oasis a few step from the city. You can stay here and relax the whole time or go into town with a 5 min car ride.

Wonderful and quiet place. All the furniture is Arabic style. Very large and clean outdoor swimming pool. Very nice and quality restaurant next to the swimming pool. The SPA program is excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful. In my opinion the rooms deserve better maintenance and cleaning together with some external environments. The strong and stagnant smell, which I didn't understand if it was humidity or the "heavy" furniture that can be perceived in the rooms, is a huge flaw which unfortunately does not allow me to give an excellent rating of the entire structure.

A truly wonderful location! You are totally immersed in the Moroccan ambience, the rooms are very original as is the whole hotel, the pool is large and a great way to cool off at the end of the day. The fire in the patio every evening is a great idea...
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially the nice lady at reception!
The breakfast is plentiful, the best we had in all our hotels on our tour of Apulia!
We were delighted!

Service was outstanding. The hotel helped us tips, restaurant and beach club bookings. Breakfast was plentiful and we were kindly asked to help ourselves before the buffet shut. The pool is huge and heaven in the heat. We had a suite for the 4 of us. The building was 5 centuries old with huge ceilings. To top it off, the hotel is a stones throw away from the town centre. I highly recommend this hotel for exploring Lecce and Salento.

Incredible hospitality and unique Moroccan Design Very large with outdoor and indoor pool seating areas throughout the property. Delicious and plentiful complimentary breakfast. The restaurant served deli lious Leccese cuisine. The front desks associates were extremely helpful too. Great place to stay for a couple of days to enjoy the spa too
