From the stairs up to the flat, to the entrance room, to the bedroom, there were attractive decorations everywhere and so many small vases of flowers, that all added to the stylish feel of this property.
Our room and en suite were both a very good size, the bed was very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was enormous and delicious and served on the very attractive roof terrace, which we also enjoyed using for relaxing later in the day on the sun beds and hanging basket chairs.
And finally, the location is excellent, being very quiet, but very close to the heart of the old city and therefore ideal as a base for exploring.
We would not hesitate to recommend La Loggia and look forward to our next stay.
Most importantly, Ana spent a lot of time making sure we maximized our stay. She booked dinner reservations for us not only in Lecce, but in other places in Puglia as well. She also helped us plan our beach-hopping itinerary along the Puglian coast, which was my favorite part of the vacation. She seems to be a seasoned host - all of her recommendations were fantastic.
The rooms are clean, simple, modern, and comfortable. We also had our own private balcony that overlooked the medieval Lecce alleyways - not bad! The location is central to Lecce's cafe's and historic spots. For breakfast, Ana baked cherry tarts and provided fresh croissants and delicious coffee.
When we return to Italy, we definitely plan to stay here again.
Ana and her boyfriend Leo are what made the stay extra special. They were so kind to me when I lost my wallet, coming to the hotel in the middle of the night and scouring the streets with me trying to find it. The next morning Ana took me to the police station and sat with me for over an hour acting as my translator, while sharing funny tidbits about life in Lecce. She went above and beyond what I expect of a host, and really made the stay extra special.
Not to mention her baking. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, with a mix of traditional Puglian pastries and homemade sweets. It was possibly my favorite breakfast of the trip.
The hotel is also in a great location, with easy walking to restaurants, shopping, and the sites of the city center. One thing to know however, is that given it’s location, tourists cannot drive on the street where the hotel is located after 9 PM. Luckily there is very easy street parking less than a five minute walk nearby that Ana will direct you to. The cost is €0.60/hour from 9am-2pm and otherwise free (which is a great deal). If you arrive at night and don’t want to wake in time to walk to the meter, we found that if you paid in the evening, the meter would go straight to covering the morning hours, which was very convenient.
Overall this was a great stay with wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay again if traveling to Lecce!
