Just a few short steps from the Estense Castle, the Diamond Palace and the City Theatre, you will find the Hotel de Prati where the tradition and atmosphere of the old inn has been restored. Starting from the 1900s, Alfonso Brandani used to welcome guests that were writers, painters and theatrical lyric and prose actors. The hotel is located in a quiet street at the end of the pedestrian zone in the city centre. It is within a comfortable walking distance from the main monumental areas, the University and the numerous well known restaurants of the city.Art has its place in the Hotel de Prati; it can be found in the reception hall and in the breakfast room, in fact there is always a display of contemporary paintings and sculptures or of artistic photos.

Detailed Reviews
A small hotel in the inner part of Ferrara, the Hotel de Prati was the best stay of my recent trip to Emilia Romagna. From the start, I was impressed with the proprietors attention to detail in design, quality of furnishings, cleanliness, and guidance on parking (a public lot that was about a 5 minute walk away). The room was a good size by European standards, and the private bathroom was complete with all facilities. Later, I received some good recommendations on where to eat. The breakfast on offer contained a full assortment of staples, cakes, juices, and cereals. My coffee Americano was first class. Overall, there was a sense of both professionalism and courtesy that is hard to find!

My husband and I were guests from 14 to 17 August. The hotel is located in the city center, a few steps from Castello Estense, Palazzo Diamanti and cathedral.
The hotel is a welcoming structure of discreet and refined elegance, with rooms with attention to detail and with pleasantly "vintage" furnishings. The management is familiar, with great courtesy and professionalism from the owners. It was a pleasure to be their guests and we fully enjoyed our stay in Ferrara, a city of art of great value.

The pleasure of staying in this beautiful city was enhanced by this delightful hotel. It could not be more central. The welcome was always warm and friendly, my single room a very good size with a comfortable bed and the establishment kept at a very cosy temperature during a chilly week. The breakfast was splendid with good gluten-free provision, and over all I felt the stay was exceptional value. It was comforting and relaxing to come back here at the end of a day being a dutiful tourist!

What a pleasant stay, shame it was only short for two days. The owner welcomed us with courtesy, explaining everything about how the parking and the permit for the restricted traffic zone worked. He also provided us with a map of the city, giving us valuable and useful suggestions. And breakfast? Truly plentiful, delicious....there really was everything....served in a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. We had a really good time. THANK YOU ALL.

We chose to stay at this hotel due to its location near the centre of Ferrara town. We opted for the apartment that is in another building across from Estense Castle. The studio apartment was large with a double bed, a double sofa bed and a single bed with a kitchen, dining table in the middle and a large bathroom. We also had breakfast one morning, which was served in the main hotel building, and it was just a typical Italian-style breakfast.

A rather simple, inconspicuous hotel - but it is run with a lot of love and an eye for detail. We felt comfortable around! A very friendly welcome, friendly advice and a large room where really nothing was missing (make-up mirror, night lighting in the bathroom...) To top it all off came breakfast - the best we had on our trip to Italy. Everything freshly prepared (orange juice, fantastic apple strudel) and high-quality yogurt, fruit salad, breads. It's just a shame we only stayed one night!

Small family run beautiful hotel in the center od Ferrara (pedestrian zone, 2 min walk from the castle). Decently decorated with antique furniture and classical light music in the dining room. Breakfast with good natural products (fresh pastries, bread, cereals, yogurt, fruits and juice) and fantastic coffee. The real plus was the very kind owner who handed out maps and advised on where to go. We will stay here again.

Excellent stay at the Prati hotel. Exceptional welcome, large and very clean room and a very very generous breakfast like you rarely find. Only one desire: to go back. And a small detail which is very important: if you arrive by car the owner will take care of declaring you for the ZNTL zone.

The Hotel is located at the historic center of Ferrara in a very quiet location. The Hotel staff is very helpfull and we were also pleased with the parking close to the Hotel. Ferrara is a very nice town and an excellent location to visit other cities like Bologna, Ravenna.

Hello John, we haven't a private parking but you can park your hire car on the surrounding streets or in Parking Diamanti, with video surveillance in less than 10 minutes' walk from the hotel with our parking ticket for 3 euros for 24 hours.
Greetings from Ferrara
Antonio
