Great hotel right on the main square in front of the castle. We stayed for 2 nights from 8 to 10 December in a spotless standard room with a large and comfortable bed and a bathroom with a very large shower. Very soundproofed room on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of sweet and savory products with quality and fresh products. Friendly and helpful staff also with restaurant recommendations, parking with the hotel coupon at €5 per day in the nearby blue spaces (not so easy to find on holidays) however highly recommended

Excellent hotel, in the historic center. The room was on the first floor of the central building, very comfortable, very clean. Independently manageable air conditioning in each room and with July temperatures (39 degrees) was essential. Breakfast was normal, not exaggerated like in some hotels but with the right choice of sweet and savory. It's great to be able to take advantage of the hotel's agreement to park in the area for 24 hours for just 5 euros.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in this magnificent hotel where the only flaw was not being able to find even one. The (very central) location in front of the Estense Castle, the extreme cleanliness, the quality of the food and, above all, the kindness and uncommon attention given to guests by all the staff encountered, make the stay in this hotel a 'unique experience. Thank you

Booked a ‘superior room’ category in the main hotel. Parking is street parking for €5.00/day with a hotel pass and we were fortunate it to find it easy and a found a space. Our superior room was large, spacious, hardwood floors, and had a lots of counter space, luggage space and a large personal safe. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower but sadly, very low water pressure for the shower. The worst of 10 hotels we had stayed at up to this point in our trip. Staff are friendly. Oddly there was little for amenities in the room, no slippers, no soap for the shower, etc. A/C was not working, and the wi fi signal was extremely poor and needs an upgrade.

Location is fantastic, easy to walk everywhere in historical Ferrara. Breakfast was very good and hours differ from weekdays and weekend. There are extras like deviled eggs, bruschetta, Greek yogurt etc (when it is available). Overall a very good choice for Ferrara.

Thanks for your feedback. There are some aspects that I don't understand. The air conditioning is always working until you turn on the heat, there is soap in the shower and the wifi is always working. I wish you had exchanged some details with other hotels of your long trip. Zeno, hotel manager & a happy dreamer

We stayed several times in this beautiful hotel located in the historic center, in a restricted traffic area. Overlooking the square in front of the beautiful Estensi castle, historical symbol of Ferrara. Without dwelling on the tranquility of the structure and the excellent rooms, equipped with all comforts, we like to emphasize the goodness of breakfast, rich in local products presented and described in an exemplary way. The owners were very kind and attentive to every detail, it is certainly 'worth returning again.

We stayed in the suites located in a beautiful building on Via Repubblica. our room was very nice, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The structure is new and well-kept and there is a common area with exercise equipment and a table football table. The breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and very varied.

Very nice and modern hotel. Clean and tidy rooms.
Reception by Zeno, very cute and polite.

Unfortunately the collaborator who checked us out (whose name I do not know but I would describe him tall, white hair and rather “adult”) was very rude.

Checking out at 6.00 in the morning, in the perspective of a working day, proved very unpleasant.
While acknowledging that he did not leave both IDs at check-in (forgetfulness), the morning sermon and tone of voice used were extremely out of place.

A tip: try to make customers who leave smile, first of all because a smile is cheap and secondly because you will entice them to come back.
Unfortunately I do not think I will return to this hotel, despite having passed all the tests.
That's a shame.

This was our 11th stay at the Hotel Annunziata, mostly for the Buskers Festival. That says it all. It's great as always, from the location, which couldn't be better, to the friendly welcome, no matter who is at reception when you arrive. From the staff to the boss and the whole family, you enjoy absolutely top-notch service. It feels like coming home.
The rooms are spacious, modern and quiet. The bathroom facilities are 5 stars.
After a relaxing night in the big bed, you can enjoy the delicious, extensive breakfast and look forward to your next stay.

When you enter this hotel you feel all the love that the people of Ferrara have, in this case Zeno and his family, owners of the structure, for their beautiful city and the passion spent to communicate this beauty to everyone. Hotel Annunziata seems to be structurally the natural continuation of the Este Castle, both in the exterior facade of the building and in the internal beams perfectly restored and integrated into design environments. Beautiful suites, full of history, such as the one frequented by master Abbado overlooking the Castle, and common areas. Breakfast is cured in every detail, offers typical local and Italian products, such as the selection of cheeses from our mountains, presents a rich gluten free offer and everything is strictly homemade: the main ingredients the love and heart of a beautiful family from Ferrara who really knows what it means to "make welcome"

Loved this hotel! The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever experienced. The staff were lovely and I enjoyed trying out a couple of the spritzes with bitters. You can't beat the location.
After reading other reviews, I was careful to choose a room in the main part of the hotel. It faced the castle, so great view, but was subject to some early morning noise from supplies being unloaded. The windows are soundproofed and the only reason I heard the noise was because I had one of the windows open.
