Just 5 km from Bardonecchia, along a picturesque mountain road that climbs between larches and firs, you reach the ancient village of Rochemolles. Here, in this village of yesteryear, the Chalet of the Guide is set in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. Each apartment is equipped with every comfort: fully equipped kitchen, TV and free Wi-Fi. The contact with nature and the greenery that surrounds it, has led the owners to create a large and spacious outdoor area with a playgruond for children, relaxation area and barbeque, to allow guests to share convivial moments. In addition, a sauna and a reading area have been recently installed. If you want to live the mountain in its true essence or you are looking for a holiday surrounded by nature.. this is the best place!

Detailed Reviews
This place is awesome. To start with it's a lovely quiet village just a short ride out of tow, which is lovely. The accommodation give a free shuttle down and back from the slope each day which is a huge help. The accomodation itself has everything you need to make your stay perfect and if they dont nothing is too much trouble. The sauna at the end of the day is also very welcome and relaxing after a hard day on the piste (but be sure to ask for it to be turned on) in short, there is nothing negative about this very reasonably priced accomodation. Thankyou for a lovely stay

We are just back from a brilliant stay at Chalet Della Guida. Nothing was too much trouble for Silvia and her family. We were a party of 17, for which she kindly sorted out our various accommodation needs, airport transfers, ski lessons, ski passes, our breakfasts, transfers into town and dinners (both at the lovely restaurant on site and in town). She was a knowledgeable host, spoke amazing English and all the kids in our party particularly loved her.
The accommodation itself was clean, spacious and utterly charming. To wake up every day and open the curtains to the stunning view was a treat. The communal living area with pool table also really suited our group. Highly recommended!

The chalet is in a quiet location close to many walks in the woods. The
Studio apartment is large and has everything. There is also a room with a billiard game. The only flaw is the car park where you can get there via a narrow road and with the snow it's not so easy to get there, so you have to leave the car at the bottom 150m away.

I came with my partner and our dog. We could not have imagined anything better. The place is magnificent, the staff really helpful, the room impeccable. Even our puppy was welcomed willingly. All we can do is come back and make this chalet one of our favorite places.

From the other reviews I was hoping for good, but it was fantastic, my other half was born in the mountains and was amazed by everything, the welcome, the view (breathtaking), just one piece of advice: if you don't see it you don't believe it. Don't forget the Fouie restaurant, same management and very helpful owners. Yes dogs

Outstanding but definitely outward bound for skiing. Totally different. Not if you want ski-in-ski-out. Getting the tiny 4x4 to shuttle us up from the rented 8 seater with the bags set the scene. Beautiful spacious chalet rooms, restaurant one hundred metres away - but mind your step at night in the snow. Totally out of the way. Seems like a commune rather than a business and the people - mostly women - were lovely. English was a problem (the check in was a hoot), although Huggie Bear the boss man who was there day two who spoke good English. We went to ski, we got the snow, and we had to use snow chains four out of the seven days - on and off, twice a day. One day full blizzard conditions on the slopes. Not for the feint hearted. Bardonecchia is OK for a day's skiing - mostly for Torino week-enders - although we only tried one side of the road. Sestriere and Claviere is bigger - although the Italian signage is confusing. Fantastic snow so fantastic holiday, but more an adventure than a skiing trip. I loved the place - but would I go back? Maybe in two years time, not next year - when I would prefer to ski-in-ski-out for a break.

These are beautifully situated apartments about a ten minute drive up the mountains from Bardonecchia.
The residence provided us with a lift to and from Bardonecchia, free of charge, every day.
Breakfast was also provided which was lovely.
All staff were extremely helpful, Especially Silvia, who went above and beyond for us. She spoke perfect English to us and was very obliging. She helped us with things that were way beyond her line of duty and was also contactable to facilitate us. Thank you Silvia!! You are amazing!!
We all fell in love with Bardonecchia and would highly recommend Chalet Della Guida.

Recently stayed here to complete the Stella Alpina rally, the room was clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Fold down settees for beds! but actually really comfortable . The staff were really friendly and helpful. The access to the property is very steep and narrow, we struggled to get our transit van to the chalet!! Breakfast was fantastic and again the staff couldn't do enough for you. I would highly recommend. See you next year👍

up the mountain via a tortorous road and into fantastic quaint 1300 year old village. Picture perfect in the snow. Quiet and out of the way, accomodation very pleasant and not fancy but just what you need. Shuttle daily to ski area with alberto who literally asked when we wanted to go and be picked up and helped immensely with finding places in bardonecchia. Ask him to take you to his 'local' in bardonecchia for an expresso - i am not a coffee drinker but think i am hooked!
Nothing was too much trouble for this community. lovely local run restuarant and we ate there 3 times and each time something with home made pasta and polenta.
If you go here in winter to ski and drive - make sure you have 4 x 4 vehicle and snow tyres and chains - you will need them to get to the chalet.
this accomodation has that old fashioned quality that one cannot put a price on - fantastic hospitality

I've never wrote a review before but this residence really deserves it.
I found this residence on the Internet and after a quick look at the prices and the services I've decided to book a room for me my wife and our two kids (7 and 11 years old).
The rooms are extremely beautiful, they have every kind of facilities and they're also pretty big. The only thing that is missing is a dishwasher, but, you won't need it once you'll have tried the restaurant that is about 300mts far from the residence.
We've had four amazing days and especially our kids where really happy because they could play outside without any barrier.
It was really worth the flight from Germany to get there!
