We booked this charming stopover en route for Boca Chica and were so delighted that we returned for 2 nights on the way back to Panama City. The very friendly French owners, Magali and Nicholas, have done such a lovely job with this great garden with so many different fruit trees and flowering bushes all labelled so we know what they are. The natural swimming pool and fountain was inviting but we didn't find the time to have a dip. The cabanas although simple are comfortable, colourful and equipped with air-conditioning (which we didn't need), a fridge and a kettle and a big walk-in shower. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the tropical fruit, freshly squeezed juice and coffee. It is very well located not far from the coast (TransAmerican Hwy) and the charming town of El Vallé and the fabulous views from the mountains and crater. We were travelling with friends so it was convenient to share the cabanas which is separated into two independent units, Azul and Mariposa. Thanks for making our stay special Magali and Nicholas.

What a beautiful spot between the ocean and El Valle. The garden is big, very beautiful and a natural pool is at the center. The owners prepare a very good healthy breakfast for additional cost. Lunch/dinner is yours somewhere on the main road or cook in the kitchen available with the cabana. We had 2 beautiful nights and we did not mind not staying in El Valle like many do. It is close by but 30 minutes driving because of.... potholes!!! Get used to it in Panama.

A nice and friendly oasis! The room was nice (although we were a bit worried about the shower-situation - electric in the showerhead) and the garden is just beautiful. Nicholas and Magali are very friendly and supernice and hospitable hosts! We loved the town of El Valle, one of the nicest towns we visited during our month stay in Panama. Definitely try the market!

This is a charming, relaxing place with equally charming and helpful hosts! The grounds are lovely, the cabana was simple and stylish and the bar was cool! A short windy drive to El Valle makes for a fun day out. The pool is very natural more like a concrete swimming hole...cute. The bed was comfy and the shower warm. There is no tv, but we were content to linger at the bar, then read and fall asleep to the soothing sound of bamboo leaves swishing from gentle winds. Wish we could've stayed longer

Comfy beds, clean rooms, nice and relaxed atmosphere. Owners are very helpful and friendly, which was wonderful. The garden is so green, peacefull and tropical, full of flowers and birds. There is a very nice, refreshing pool as well. It’s not very big, but if you need a big ‘swimming pool’, there is one at 12 km to the south... The Pacific 😉 If you are traveling to El Valle de Anton, definitely stay here and drive only 22 km for your day trip to come back to this quiet oasis. Also the perfect place when you just arrived in Panama and want to escape the busy city. Good Italian restaurant 5 minutes by foot.

Cabanas los Colibris is a great stop in between the beaches and Anton Valley. We used it as a "base" to explore Anton Valley, have a nice dinner on the beach and then later on head further east towards Santa Catalina. Cabana was comfortable, pool is beautiful as are the gardens and the owner made us some delicious drinks to boot. What more can you ask for ?

Our family had a relaxing time at Cabanas los Colibris. We stayed 3 nights. The owners (Maggie and Nicola) were very hospitable. We ordered breakfast from them each morning. They prepared the food themselves and varied the menu each morning. Breakfasts were delicious. They also advised us where to find a public beach and were helpful in suggesting local attractions in El Valle. The room was also nice, with air conditioning and WiFi. Copecito is a mere 24km (30 minute drive) away, on the road to El Valle. Cabanas los Colibris offers better bang-for-the-buck than the pricier inns or bed-and-breakfast places in town, provided you have a rental car. Additionally, when it rains in the El Valle crater, it is often sunny and dry a few miles down the mountain. The rooms are actually cabins with fairly basic but clean necessities, including fan, AC, refrigerator, a patio with hammock. Our French hosts, Magali and Nicolas, were very friendly and helpful in steering us to the "must do" attractions in the Valley. We hiked El Cerro Guaital, visited the week-end market and the Mariposaria (butterfly conservancy), ate at Santa Monica and Bruschetta. Los Colibris offers an excellent breakfast (well worth the $9 cost), and Nicolas mixes good cocktails. For lunch or dinner, there is an inexpensive and decent pizzeria within a few hundred yards (the young Italian owner is a cooking instructor in Panama City during the week, while his wife mans the fort, and he returns to make pasta in time for the week-end); take out or delivery are possible; another substantially pricier Italian restaurant, the Florentino, is also close-by.

We are located between sea and mountains: 15 minutes with the car before the town of El Valle and 10 to the beaches of the Rivera Pacifica.
For your information:
Our rates are $ 95 for a couple then $ 20 per additional person in a room.
All our rooms are equipped with every comfort (A / A, mosquito nets, refrigerator, coffee maker, ...):
- 2 family rooms for up to 6 people (one double bed and 2 bunk beds in each)
- 1 bedroom for up to 4 people (one double bed and one bunk bed)
- 1 bedroom for up to 3 people (one double bed and one sofa bed)
- A cottage with terrace fully equipped, with kitchen open to the living room, a separate bedroom and bathroom / toilet, at a fixed rate of $ 145 / night (2 nights minimum and for 4 people maximum).
Different options for your meals, namely:
- We offer, on request, breakfasts (9 $ / pers) and offer the Bar service.
- A social area, relaxation and to restore you and 2 barbecues are at your disposal. This allows you to have picnic meals on your own (there is no kitchen available except for the house).
- Nearby, you will find restaurants and on site, you will have the opportunity to order and have delivered dishes.
Also a natural swimming pool with its small waterfall, will allow you to relax and bathe.
We are also able to offer you:
- Different tours to discover our area (sea, mountains, Panama City, canal, ...) and recreation (surfing sessions, kayak, paddle horse, quads, ...)
- A nature photography class, initiated by a French professional photographer or a family photo session.
- Pain massage and foot reflexology sessions.
- To avoid the stress of leaving the capital and for your visits: we can organize your transfer and for your trips around. Be aware that it is possible to rent vehicles nearby (eg National Rental Car, Decameron agency).
We will not ask you for a down payment but to reconfirm your arrival just before your departure for Panama.
The Chek-in is from 3 pm until 9.30pm and the check-out until 12 am.
In addition, we give you some information to help you find us, namely:
When you leave the Panamerican, direction El Valle (small town of Las Uvas), count 7 kms. At the 7th kilometer, you will have a sign Los Colibris, on your right. Just before this sign, take the 1st road on your right and you have arrived!

To answer your email, we still have availability for your dates just for one family room.
Our rates are $ 80 for a couple and $ 20 per additional person in the room: 140$/night for 5 persons.
All our rooms are equipped any comfort and with refrigerator and coffee machine. A social surface, relaxation and to restore you as 2 barbecues are at your disposal. This enables you if you wish it, to take your meals by your own means.
Will know that we propose, upon request, the breakfasts (8$/pers).
Nearby, you will find restaurants and pizzeria. On site, you will have the opportunity to order plate.
