Room was nice, the shower in the bathroom needed to be re-siliconed, it was black.
Vinoteka atmosphere was nice, food was good. We had reserved a parking space in the courtyard, then an Italian couple came and the waiter asked us if we were going to drive our car into a garage because the other couple wanted our parking space. What a cheek!

Average hotel. Nice, no bathrobes, furniture and bathroom a little dated but spacious. Central location in Alba and excellent cleanliness, good breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful. If you arrive after eight, the keys are left in the restaurant downstairs.

Centrally located in the town of Alba, this is a small and uncomplicated hotel and has simply furnished and comfortable rooms.
The staff are all charming and extremely friendly and the hotel has free parking in the courtyard (which in my experience removes the most significant element of stress from any trip around medieval Italian villages!).
This is not a luxury property, but ticks all the boxes for comfort, convenience, friendliness and a truly great cup of coffee in the pasticceria on the ground floor. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

No air conditioning in the room.
With the heat we leave the window open and have to endure the noise from the street and above all put up with all the smells from the kitchen of the restaurant located below.
The staff to whom we told it were not at all interested and barely listened to us. The state of the sanitary facilities was borderline.
In summary, a very well located hotel but lousy for accommodation.

+1
located in the center, offers a Spartan and dated 1960s decor, little attention to detail in the cleaning, pica ventilation and inside there is smell of old, found ants and a spider in the bathroom. Mattress and pillow impossible even for a two-star, toilet axis not smaller in size. There is no love, professionalism and expertise.

Clean, right in the center and with the possibility of parking in their courtyard or in the stalls in front.
Everything was comfortable and pleasant, the room was quiet and spacious as was the bathroom (the only flaw was a very small shower despite the size available, and one of the two mattresses 'sloping' towards the outside), good breakfast.
The water kettle is also available after dinner in case you want a herbal tea.
Extreme kindness of the staff, discreet and helpful.
The lift takes you directly to the floor, inside the reception.
Strategic position as it is located next to the Duomo.

Right choice. I appreciated practically everything... location, practically in the heart of the center of Alba and the pedestrian area, possibility of internal parking, cleanliness and comfort of the room, breakfast and above all the excellent value for money. To try.

We've had two wonderful experiences at this hotel; however the third time we found out at the end of our stay that they would not honor their on-line price with us. This last time we had many concerns: They were overhauling the palazzo next to us so we had very loud noise from 7:30 am until 6:00 p.m.. Due to this construction, we had no free parking and found metered parking for the two days. Though they did come in to fix a non-functioning TV, it stopped working again within one minute of being fixed. We also had ants in our room. Upon check-out I asked if they could give us a "sconto" for all of these problems, particularly for the noise and lack of "free" parking. The nice receptionist went to find the proprietor and apparently he told her that everyone was complaining but there was nothing he could do about because he was losing too much money and too many customers. She reported that he was very angry. The proprietor is right about one thing. He is losing us as customers. Do beware when staying here. Do ask if there is major construction and if you have an on-line confirmation of a certain amount per night, confirm by phone. We will be looking elsewhere next year for our annual stay.

This was our second trip to Alba and this time was during White Truffle season...a must! Placing you in the most charming square in Alba, Albergo San Lorenzo is the place to stay in Alba. Ask for room# 3 and you'll be treated to a small balcony overlooking the square, Duomo and the activity of a small charming town in Piemonte. Going during Truffle season adds to the experience 10 fold. Every menu includes dishes so amazingly suited to Tartufo Blanco that it makes you wish you never had to leave.
