La Cascina di Carlotta is a beautiful agriturismo (farmstay hotel) in the heart of the Alba region. It is perfectly situation right near all the main towns like Alba, La Morra, Barolo, Serralunga d’Alba. The owner Fausto is incredibly gracious and accommodating, which was particularly helpful for our first trip abroad with baby.

In addition to the excellent location and hospitality, La Cascina di Carlotta strikes an ideal balance between tradition and modern comforts. Situated in a historic building from the 1800s, it is tastefully renovated with modern finishes. The 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in had a kitchenette which was handy for preparing and washing baby bottles.

The rooms and large windows have great sound insulation. We never heard our neighbors and slept soundly on the comfortable beds. Breakfast is excellent and the cappuccinos are top notch.

Pool and hot tub look out onto the countryside. There are a few donkeys and chickens on the property too, which is fun for children! The hotel is perfect for couples, families and solo travelers alike.

Many thanks to Fausto for such a lovely stay.

We will start by saying that we consider ourselves to be fairly exacting people who have travelled all over the world. Centrally located in the heart of the breathtakingly stunning Piedmont wine region, in between La Mora and Alba, Cacsina Di Carlotta is simply EXTRAORDINARY. The rooms are impeccable and immaculate, so very, very comfortable, surrounded by the most magnificent Vineyards and Wineries, such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Contotto for sparkling wine and infinite smaller vineyards at every turn. Literally!! The inn is also set amongst mountains, hillsides, Hazlenut forests, and vistas imaginable. This inn is a lavender farm, complete with chickens for the most delicious fresh eggs at breakfast, donkeys, and a family with their three adorable dogs and the most professional and reliable service you will find anywhere. The breakfasts are simply magnificent.; fresh European yogurts, pastries of every ilk, some of the best coffee we have ever sipped, cheeses that would make any cheese lover dance with joy, and fresh fruit and fresh juices to your hearts delight.

The proprietor, Fausto, made each recommendation for our daily experiences including the most marvelous restaurants in the most obscure and beautiful roads nearby, places with Michelin quality quality food that you would never knew existed had he not told us! And, at unbelievably low prices!! One of his recommendations was a Truffle Hunt, which we fortunately took advantage of, and which will remain a highlight of our trip and a memory forever. And yes, we did find four beautiful black truffles with the help of the Truffle Hunter dog and his Truffle Hunter handler. We highly recommend this experience!

It is rare to find proprietors who so completely pour themselves into their guests’ experiences. We had actually booked with another inn, and were so disappointed when we arrived as it was a complete misrepresentation; thus, we were incredibly lucky to be able to change our reservation and find this room available at Cascina Di Carlotta, because they had a last-minute cancellation. We were so fortunate. We feel like we made friends forever and we feel like we are part of their family. Maybe this happens to every guest and that is part of the charm and reality of this beautiful, beautiful inn.

We will absolutely return, as soon as life permits!

This is by far the best place we stayed while on holiday in Italy! La Cascina di Carlotta is located near Alba. The appartment we hired was top notch! Modern, well built, quiet (very good isolated), aircondition, great bed, kitchen, bathroom, all in excellent condition. The entrance of the house and apartment is very comfortable with code locks. Your car can be parked safely in the parkinglot. There is a remote controlled fence. No worries whatsoever. The breakfast was more than excellent. And Fausto, the owner and husband of Carlotta, is the most warm and friendly host we ever met at such an accomodation. He is active in helping you out finding the right places to go and restaurants to eat and makes you feel at home. Not convinced yet? Read all the other reviews here and you will find out it all comes to the same conclusion: this is the perfect place to be when visiting the Piëmonte (Langhe region)! We will definitely go back. Thank you Fausto and Carlotte for the great stay we had!

We went for a 3 days break with our two sons (2 and 0.5 yrs old) during summer and had an amazing time. There are so many pluses which is hard to know where to begin with. Fausto (an his family) is an incredible host and makes you feel welcome from the second you step into his property. He is charismatic and extremely helpful. He helped us with everything we needed during our stay, particularly for our kids.
In regards to the place itself, it is completely new, the rooms are exceptionally clean, breakfast is delicious, swimming pool is very good and child friendly (with a shallow section in which kids can play safely). We had a great time and the kids particularly loved the visit to the farm where they could pick some berries and see the donkeys.
We will definitely return!
Thanks Fausto and family!!

Carlotta's farmhouse is a magical, unique and special place. Immersed in the Langhe between lavender fields, vineyards and hazelnut groves, it gives you the truest emotion of this area. Fausto the owner is a wonderful person who welcomes and pampers the guest like no one knows how to do!! The outdoor spaces are well organized and there is a tranquility that puts you in harmony with the world. The rooms and apartments are very nice and comfortable. Everything spotless and scented with lavender. The breakfast is truly rich in all local products at 0 km, the eggs collected from their own hens in the morning are a delight.
Thank you Fausto for everything you do for us guests!! We will return to visit you again to enjoy your hospitality and kindness and to regenerate ourselves again.

This is the perfect location for couples or families wishing to stay in the heart of the beautiful Langhe region. Not only the premises are modern and clean, the owners are of the most welcoming people I have ever met. For a week-end or longer, La Cascina di carlotta is the perfect base to enjoy the amazing experience the region has to offer. We will certainly be back soon.

What a fabulous stay, we really enjoyed a very well equipped room with a kitchenette and all amenities.
Cascina du Carlotta really followed its promise to self made and ecological with home made soaps, locally sourced breakfast etc.
We also enjoyed a fantastic pool, outside area and closeness to all main spots of interest like Alba, Barolo, Asti, La Morra and Barbaresco. The host Fausto with his wife were outstanding. We very much look forward to come back.

This was our second time at La Cascina di Carlotta and we’re already thinking about a return trip! We were here in Nov 2018 for the truffle hunt. This time our daughter came with us and we stayed at a family room. The hotel is beautiful, beds extremely comfortable and I believe it’s the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast is excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice, warm bread and a delicious cappuccino. The home made nocciola cream is very yummy!
Fausto, the owner, is extremely welcoming and helpful. He helped us choosing restaurants in the area and they were all better than we expected.
The hotel is very close to Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, La Morra… we even spent a day at Orta San Giulio which was fantastic!
The area is very beautiful and the hotel was the best choice for us!
Looking forward to seeing you again Fausto and Carlotta!

We had a spectacular stay at La Cascina di Carlotta. The property is beautiful, spacious and enchanting. The pool is large for lap swimming, warm and luxurious. The hotel is a beautiful restoration and the rooms are clean, well outfitted and inviting. Breakfasts and snacks were plentiful, delicious and specialized for each guest. Fausto was extremely helpful during our stay providing restaurant and town visit recommendations. He was an incredibly gracious host. We especially liked the dogs which were friendly and fun! Fausto and Carlotta, thanks again for our wonderful visit!

Incredible experience in this place. All carefully thought out for the comfort of the guest, with excellent accommodation, always very clean and fragrant. Excellent breakfast, well served and with delicious food. We were welcomed by Fausto and his family, always very careful with the demands and helping with the reservations of restaurants, doing everything to make us feel at home. We recommend and will return!
