Great hotel (B&B) in the centre of Agrigento. it is located just off the main tourist street of the old Agrigento and you will find it very easily it there is a sign. The room was small (but just enough, you only need it as a place to sleep). Good shower and toilette in the room, i was just missing some plastic glasses to use for drinking or rinsing mouth. Other than that it has everything you expect from a hotel. There was also a little breakfast - coffee and three pieces of croissant with generous amount of delicious filling.
Very high value for the price!

Ciao!

We stayed at the Hotel Concordia in Agrigento for two nights recently. The hotel is your basic, no frills place to lay your head.

We did appreciate that the hotel had free parking in a reserved spot directly in front. In fact, upon check-in, the young man behind the desk moved his car so we could park in a larger spot.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few steps from one of the main pedestrian thoroughfares (Via Atenea) in Agrigento. Many wonderful restaurants and interesting shops are located along Via Atenea.

The hotel is also a five to seven minute drive away from the Valley of the Temples.

Our room was a bit dated.. The bed was relatively comfortable. No safe in the room.

Interestingly, we also noticed that there were security blinds on the windows that we could not move. Made us wonder about our safety, but at no time did we feel unsafe or threatened.

The bathroom was small. The bath towels (see photo) were as thin as placemats, but surprisingly they did the job. The shower has sufficient water pressure, but what was frustrating was the wide swing in water temperature. Every thirty seconds or so the water would turn from hot to ice cold. It forced us to move out of the way in a very small shower.

The breakfasts were basic. Cereal, juice, croissants, strong coffee and yogurt.

On our last morning of exploring the city it started to rain. The woman behind the desk who we presume was the owner, was pleasant and adamant about us using their Mickey Mouse umbrella. A pleasant gesture.

Despite some challenges.. the Hotel Concordia was a decent hotel during our stay in Agrigento.

Enjoy.

The Hotel Concordia is small but clean and perfectly located 5 min. from the railway Stn. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely vibrant neighbourhood. Terrific value. The owneris affiliated with FAI and she saw to it that we were supplied with tickets to the Kalymbethra Gardens in the Valley of the Temples. The free bottle of cold water there was a small miracle on a hot day.

it is hard to believe that this accomodotion is presented as acceptabel hotel! The location is not far away from Agrigento Centrale, and very close to Agrigento's important and nice "via Atenea". And that's all. The breakfast ist so poor! The condition of the room and the bath is... there are no words! Maybe for country people from other villages they visit the city for shoping and religious matters is good enough, but for modern tourists...

We were looking for the Trattoria Concordia in Agrigento following the good reviews and our host's recommendation.
We saw a sign of the Hotel Concordia so we went in to ask them about the restaurant.
Two men at the reception told us that the Trattoria Concordia was closed down and does not exist anymore...
We thought it was very strange so we kept looking and found the restaurant at the end. I really don't understand how they could tell a lie like that! The Trattoria Concordia was very good though! We went there twice for dinner and lunch during our stay.

Trip advisor tells me that the hotel is 3m from my current location. What it doesn't tell me is that some peculiarly talent-free cover-band is apparently about 10m from my current location (I'm actually in a bed in the hotel, not levitating in the street outside), still belting out the same 4-chord wonders at 0130. So don't stay on a Saturday night if you fancy some peace and quiet. A shame, because otherwise the hotel is quite inoffensive (apart from the steam-driven TV set and set-top box - but even the latest technology couldn't improve Italian TV ...) and the price (via booking.com) good.

well-located hotel, really bad service and attention to detail.
I've been for 2 nights. Internet was not working(fixed by me), broken shower (reported by not repaired), poor breakfast. Hot water: maybe.

Although the owners seemed nice people, I'm shortly pleased with the service.

It 'a shame to have to do these reviews, but it is also right to share it as an incentive to improve the service in a such a beautiful place as Sicily.

I stayed here for three nights, and found it a great place to explore Agrigento from (it sits just below Via Atenea, the main street for shops, restaurants, cafes and bars). The room was clean and in good order, the staff were friendly and helpful. The walls are fairly thin, and the shower wasn't too easy to get to working optimally. However, these were far from dealbreakers, and the Hotel Concordia is very good in the price range.

The Hotel Concordia is a nice place to stay in Agrigento it is conveniently situated close to the main street Atenea and within easy reach of both the bus and the train station. We were on the first floor, there is no lift but it is an easy staircase to manage bags along. Check in was very friendly and welcoming.

Our room was comfortable and a decent size with a fold down bed if needed. With good shutters you can get a comfortable nights sleep. The local church bells fortunately do not start ringing until a sedate 8.00! The bathroom is basic but everything works - although the water did fail on our last day!

Breakfast has delicious blood orange juice and freshly made coffee and a selection of cereals, yoghurt, bread and croissants which was plenty to get you going in the morning.

Overall if you want to stay in Agrigento rather than just go to the temples this is a good base for your visit.

As much as I would love to give them a higher rating I can't. The staff who I assume are owners of the property are very nice people, but the hotel is very basic. First, if you drive you have to stop in front of the hotel and ask them to let you park at the reserved spots. We drove down the narrow street to park there and that was a mistake. They accompanied us and helped us to drive around the block and re-park in front of the hotel which was very nice. There's no elevator in the building, be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs. The room was small, dated and very basic with an even smaller bathroom. The shower stall had mold spots here and there. The breakfast was very basic too: bread, cereal, yogurt and coffee. On the plus side, the location is great; the staff are excellent, trying to please you any way they can; Wi-Fi signal was fine; and for the price you probably won't find a better deal in Agrigento.
