Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pension is a little dated, the room is normal.
Strong cigarette smell in the room on the ground floor.
Some small DIY, the night blind a little worn and the bathroom not at the top level cleanliness.
Get the job done for one night.
Decent breakfast.

Found the hotel easy with sat nav. Plenty of secure parking. Very modern hotel and the rooms were large and very clean. Restaurant did not look inviting and receptionist recommended local restaurant which was very good. Biggest fault was air conditioning did not work so had to have window open. It sounded like we were sleeping on a bridge over the M6. Breakfast very good. Also no bar on site to get a drink.

Having stopped here on our way to southern Spain last year and had a good experience, we were disappointed to find the standard had dropped considerably. Whilst this is a modern hotel with adequate rooms and very good parking facilities, the standard of cleanliness was not good and as for the food, this came from the freezer, into the microwave and onto the plates. Very poorly presented. We arrived on a Sunday so do wonder if this hotel caters more for weekday clientele and Sunday meals are makeshift. Unfortunately there is nowhere else to eat within walking distance.

Would not recommend this place unless you are desperate, very hard to find, even with a sat nav, situated on a housing estate with virtually no street light,s and no signs that we could see, stayed there on our way up to UK to pick up our daughters cats as she cant take them with her to Holland so we booked to stay on our way back as they are pet friendly (the only reason we used them twice) (we live in Spain) room 5 was perfect, quite large and quiet, aircon/heating worked very well and it was very clean, beds were comfortable, although we were that tired we would,nt have noticed if they were,nt, we booked this room for our return, more about that later, we were pretty hungry after our trip up from Madrid so ordered their menu of the day one course for e11.50 there are several choices, what we did,nt realise was they were Microwave convenience foods, and yes served in the containers they came in, not even plated, but as I said we were hungry and tired so ate it, a first for me ever, now realise why Britons are getting fatter, it was not even good slop, which is how I perceived what amounted to sliced potatoes in a tasteless white sauce, and this is world famous gastronomic France!!! Breakfast was ok with enough selection for most people, and freshly cooked eggs, but not worth the e8.50 each it cost us, not when you are used to having a full English with 7 items for as little as e3.50 in Spain inc. coffee, oh and coffee, it was out of a machine, disgusting, same for the bug juice, sorry orange juice, anyway now to UK/Franco relations, as I said we booked the same room for our return journey, or we thought we had, on the way up the car park was almost full, on our way back there were 6 or 7 cars no more, and we were flatly told they were full and room 5 was not available, they then promptly ignored my protestations even though the guy we booked with was standing there, he spoke a bit of English when we booked, now though strictly French only, in other words hiding behind his language, he was very arrogant, we needed that room for its size and the fact it was on the ground floor, I have a heart condition and we had a large cage to carry thru the lobby to our room, no help from Mr arrogant, we ended up in room 19, smaller and sweltering, it took 2 hours for the room to cool down, but at least it was on the ground floor thanks to the young lady on reception, this was after Mr arrogant had said there was no ground floor left, needless to say we did,nt order breakfast and left as soon as we awoke, and will never use again.

We stayed at this hotel for a three-day family wedding at group rate of €65. My husband checked us out without knowing that and was charged €82! Several emails (in French) did not result in a credit to our credit card. So, regardless of the convenience and modernity of this hotel, I would not stay there again.

We only planned to stay 2 nights but due to heavy booking in the Basque Country sadly had to stay another. We found the staff cold and not very helpful. The rooms were clean and new. We were miles from anywhere and could not get food at all on the Sunday evening as no facilities available for dinner. Vending machine saved the night ! Chocolate and soft drink does not make for a good dinner.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Stayed 2 nights. The location near Bordeaux and the wine region and St. Emilion was ideal. The hotel is clean, modern and bright. The rooms are adequate, good bathrooms and comfortable beds. Noise is not an issue as the hotel is situated in a subdivision of homes. Gated secured free parking provided. I can easily recommend this hotel.

Driving from the UK to Spain via St Malo this hotel was a welcome stop-over.Not sure what style they were going for here, boutique, basic,as entering the hall to my room as the automatic lights came on I thought I was entering a boudoir, the room it's self was spacious and clean.Frosted panels protected ones modesty whilst in the toilet, why!!! Good shower and spacious bathroom with basic shower gels etc.My room was on the ground floor over looking the car park, not a bad thing for me as my car was loaded, which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel to stop at.
A reasonable selection for breakfast set me on my way to Spain.
I found a couple of suitable restaurants within walking distance (if it hadn't of been raining) near by,however they didn't open until 7.30 .
Overall I think I picked a very good stop over point for a very long trip.
They do say 'we speak your language' I say their English is limited.

This is a very pleasant hotel to take a break from the road.
Room very clean and well laid out. Nice evening meal at reasonable price.
Very good buffet breakfast.
And best of all a very friendly family run the hotel.
We spent one night here as a family in a triple room.
