Basic facilities in the cabins with only one bathroom to share between all the cabins. Not much happening when we visited as they had had a big wedding the day before. Service was limited and only an outdoor BBQ to cook on.

Hi Gary, our bunk rooms are designed for those who just want to spend their night with minimum luxuries in the country side, this is even mentioned on our website in the accommodation description. We have got many other accommodation options available and if you do not want a shared bathroom you could have booked our En-suite rooms with Microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker with all the supplies in the room or our Stag-hill cottage with self-contained kitchen and Jacuzzi bath. Even after the wedding our lodge was ready to occupy and it is pretty simple you get what you pay for! Thank You.

What a fantastic place! We cycled up here and the scenery for the last 10 km is out of this world. We camped at the lodge: good camp space, clean shower and toilets. The food at the restaurant was great and good value for money and the gents working at the lodge were super nice and helpful. Lovely goats and cows in the fields around and nice walking in the area. But most importantly; get in a bottle of wine and just enjoy the view from the deck. So tranquil. Definitely worth cycling 20 km of gravel roads (and some tarmac) in 30 degree heat to get here! We will be back.

We had a great time at Mt Potts but they need to improve several things. First of all they don't provide any food service. Thankfully I was reading a comment on trip advisor regarding the fact that they didn't have a restaurant open. I call the place and they confirmed that their chef left for holidays. I was very surprised as it is meant to be their highest season. We were told that there is a kitchen for us to use. It is outside under a shed and could be cleaned a bit more. The bin in the kitchen hasn't been emptied for a while and hasn't been emptied whilst we were there (2 nights). So possums came at night looking for food and spread rubbish everywhere. Rooms are nice and basic but for the price you can expect to have a least some kind of food offering and a cleaner

The Mt Potts Lodge is a lovely accomodation surrounded by beautiful nature. It's quite far away from any town, but this makes it very special, calm and ideal for hiking or outdoor activities. The staff is really friendly, helpful and nice! If you look for a calm place away from busy city life, i would definitely recommend it!

The Lodge is some 40 kilometres from the nearest town at the back of a stunning alpine valley, where the humming of bees and mooing of cattle is the only thing you will hear. The last 20 kilometres or so of the road to Mt Potts are on gravel roads. This is no big deal even for smaller cars as long as you adjust your speed, but make sure your hire car is sufficiently insured. The rooms are nice and clean. There is a microwave, a kettle and a fridge in the room. Some plates and cutlery are available. There is no TV. The whole complex is a short hop away from Mt Sunday, used widely in the Lord of the Rings movies. When I booked, the hotel had a minimum stay of two nights for the rooms. I believe you can have an amazing time at this lodge but take good care with the following: I
