Set in a dramatic valley, we awoke to the sound of deer and goats and amazing sunrises. The Lodge is at the end of a 20km dirt road (which was in good shape when we were there), and that slow road leads you away from the bustle to a spectacular setting. The staff were accommodating, with one person in particular who was so incredibly kind and thoughtful! The one challenge was that there was 24-hour access to only one toilet that was shared by many. Other than that, it was a great experience.

We are so so lucky to find this place, amazing views and incredible mt potts, very friendly staff we feel like at home. great food great service, will definitely come back again! 特别推荐的点。这是新西兰自驾旅行中发现的最赞的一个地方,特别美一个人也没有的地方,旅店也是这地方唯一一个可以过夜的点。白天爬山,晚上可以看星星。小朋友们还可以喂羊吃草。

Stopped in for great home made lunch with glass of wine after treacherous hike up Mt Sunday in stormy weather. Fantastic food, amazing views, perfect for mid-day break. Local home made meals were perfect for the occasion.

Basic facilities in the cabins with only one bathroom to share between all the cabins. Not much happening when we visited as they had had a big wedding the day before. Service was limited and only an outdoor BBQ to cook on.

Hi Gary, our bunk rooms are designed for those who just want to spend their night with minimum luxuries in the country side, this is even mentioned on our website in the accommodation description. We have got many other accommodation options available and if you do not want a shared bathroom you could have booked our En-suite rooms with Microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker with all the supplies in the room or our Stag-hill cottage with self-contained kitchen and Jacuzzi bath. Even after the wedding our lodge was ready to occupy and it is pretty simple you get what you pay for! Thank You.

What a fantastic place! We cycled up here and the scenery for the last 10 km is out of this world. We camped at the lodge: good camp space, clean shower and toilets. The food at the restaurant was great and good value for money and the gents working at the lodge were super nice and helpful. Lovely goats and cows in the fields around and nice walking in the area. But most importantly; get in a bottle of wine and just enjoy the view from the deck. So tranquil. Definitely worth cycling 20 km of gravel roads (and some tarmac) in 30 degree heat to get here! We will be back.
