Firstly, the sign is only visible AFTER turning in. The budget room we had did not have a central light, only dim light behind bed head. Heating adequate but only if bathroom door kept closed. Bathroom has permanently open high window louvres meaning it is frigid in winter & has no heating. Bedding was one thin blanket & 1 thin bedspread. There is electric blankets. Room & bedding clean. Just FYI room very bright at night as high windows not covered & security lights shine in. Restaurant was lovely, warm, staff friendly & food for breakfast & dinner very good. Small intimate bar area with gas fire was lovely. Drinks glasses put rim down on tables after spraying & wiping with chemicals ready for breakfast isn’t necessary, they could be placed on side table covered with cloth. Would return.

I had to complete a few circular routes off Brooker Highway as I kept bypassing the entrance. We had booked a Riverview Motel Room and certainly enjoyed the location and lovely views of the gardens, river and nearby mountains. All welcoming and efficiency at reception, everything ready for our 2 night stay, great advice on restaurant and other facilities and a very good selection of brochures for attractions, both local and further afield. Parking in front of the Unit, very good facilities although a little dated, another comfortable bed. Checkout easy.

The room was a typical budget style motel with frig and tea making facilities. It was spotlessly clean and staff were welcoming and helpful. It would be ideal for families with a children's playground and swimming pool. The restaurant has a large menu which also caters for room service. The location is ideal and very quiet.

Very easy to find, near Mona. Nice 60s decor. Friendly staff and atmosphere. A convenient place to stay. Pool, tennis court, place for kids to play, barbecue area with river views. The restaurant menu is extensive with delicious and generously sized meals. The 2 bedroom villa looked freshly painted and everything from the bathroom to the kitchen was spotless. Kitchen was well equipped with stove, microwave, pots and pans, plenty of crockery and fridge. Beds were firm and comfortable. I loved seeing ducks happily waddle about on my early morning walk by the river. A very memorable stay.

I recently had lunch at the Riverfront Motel, and was most impressed. I decided to try the Outback Ranch Schnitzel, and it was the best schnitzel I've ever had. The chicken melted in your mouth, and the flavours were delicious, and unlike other local restaurants, the vegies were freshly preped The meals are also large and value for money. We also found the wait staff helpful and friendly. I'll bypass other local pub/ hotel restaurants now ( Claremont Hotel and The Granada Tavern ) and go straight to the Riverfront.

Located pretty close to Hobart (depending on traffic), it’s a strategic place to stay avoiding Hobart centre, especially if you’ve a car. Motel-style, you park just outside your room. Inside it’s clean and, depending on the position, can be quiet or not so much due to a busy highway close by. A nice park and lake in the area. Breakfast was pretty good, dinner is possible, as well as room service.

This was the last motel we stayed at during our 12 day Tasmania road trip & definitely the most disappointing. The motel looks like it was built in the 50/60’s & definitely hasn’t been updated .Our unit was the smallest of all the motels we stayed in .It is right on the highway north to Launceston so the vehicle noise is ridiculous , particularly as ours was one of the closest to the road .Wifi was a joke - had to walk outside the unit to get it to work & even then it dropped out regularly .Can hear every noise from the units adjoining . The bed has a mattress as old as me (72 years old ) it was uncomfortable . When we left the receptionist didn’t even ask if we enjoyed our stay .The verandah outside our unit looks like it is asbestos sheeting , which explains why it hasn’t been cleaned . The whole motel lacks love & attention. Would suggest people look at other options .

If you don't need to be located close to the city centre this motel is a good place to stay. About 10 km from the city, even if your room doesn't have the best view you can walk or picnic in the green area on the waterfront that is part of the precinct. I appreciated the plastic table and chairs indoors that may not look the "prettiest" but are certainly more hygienic that fabric covered furniture!

the room is really dated, no air-con, it was a hot day on the day i checked in, only a 'nearly fall apart' pedestal fan, the worst is no window! Could have opened the glass door that faces the river, but all the bugs or even ducks (very cute though) could have gone inside the room. smoking is prohibited inside the room, but people smoking outside of their room and u can smell it inside.
I think the motel got a lot potential if they renovate the whole property, the river view is worth a million bucks!

Delivered everything it said it would. We looked out onto the River Derwent, the ducks came as promised and we had a beer on the patio watching the river and the mountains beyond. The onsite restaurant had a very reasonable menu and good price bar and the wifi worked quite well (good for Tasmania). The welcome was nice and friendly and we would recommend the place to anyone travelling through or looking for a base whilst discovering this part of the state without the city annoyances.
