Such a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere! We stayed in a double cabin which was extremely well presented, exceeded our expectations for campground cabins. The cooking facilities were spacious and had plenty of equipment. All of the staff were extremely friendly and the outdoor deck entertainment area was a great place to relax during the evenings or play some table tennis. We will definitely be back - such a great place for families and couples alike!

In desperate need of some maintenance and care. The amenities need an upgrade. Not enough showers or toilets for the amount of people that are on the grounds and not very clean. The cabin we stayed in was basic and way overpriced. We should have stayed in the campground at tahununui and our tent. Disappointed.

Great experience at this campground. Cabins were good quality, not over stocked for the time of year with sufficient facilities for everyone. Could use an extra chest freezer. Location is 10/10 and close to lots of activities in Marehau and surrounds.

I stayed for 3 nights in the Creek House. Creek House is a new build - just like a box on a new subdivision. Its warm, comfortably and thoughtfully furbished, including hot shower and underfloor heating, But missing some warn in charm or character! Others have complained about the partying and noise, CH is too far away from the backpackers to be affected. However its TOO quiet- theres no TV (no problem) but theres no sound system to listen to music or the wireless. Be warned the kitchen has no basics- milk, tea or salt & pepper etc- but it is stocked with all manner of utensils. The weather was dire- huge amounts of rain and a chilly southerly for all but the day of departure. So I didnt get to enjoy the wrap round balcony and the fire pit. You are treated to views out to Tasman Bay and youre right next to the boundary of the Park.( It is strangely orientated for a new build:15degrees twist of the and the views would be unobstructed. Anyway- thats the architect in me) Over all, for what it was, I found it expensive and clinical. Hence the average rating. The owners /managers were strangely indifferent to my trying to make a booking. I never met, saw or heard from them in my time there. Not a problem really. Only contact was to ask if I'd overstayed :( I didnt. I would cautiously recommend and would stay again - if the situation required.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback on your stay at our lovely Creek House. Great to hear that you enjoyed the comforts of the bathroom, the Abel Tasman front row views and the peacefulness the House offers. The Creek House includes tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, and we have now started supplying milk also! Sorry if that was not there for your stay, we have had upgrades since then too :) We are always happy to be contated or for you to join us in reception to help plan your activities, we always want to repect privacy so would not intrude on your stay at the house. All the best with your travels and I hope you will have a more enjoyable stay with us next time! From the Barn Crew

Everyone that worked here was so lovely! I loved how cheery and friendly everyone was. One of my highlight stays in NZ. Had a twin cabin and all of the little touches were so nice- fuzzy blanket, table, cozy pillows etc. The shared kitchen was fantastic and the area is gorgeous. Thank you!
