The Brewers Arms is a 17th century grade 2 listed building in the centre of Brightlingsea. The B&B is situated in a separate, grade 2 listed, 19th century, refurbished building next door. It is well appointed and very cosy. Each guest will have a key to the front door on their room keyring, which allows for unrestricted access to the B&B and also provides security as only staff and guests can open the front door. With the pub in such close proximity there's no need to go anywhere else for a drink and our restaurant is now open for lunches only as well as breakfast for our guests. We have ironing facilities in the B&B. There is a carpark at the rear of the Pub main building which is fully covered by cctv.

I've been to The Brewers Arms a few times before, and each time I've found the bar staff helpful, the atmosphere cosy, the live music very good, and the food tasty. It does get a little crowded when music is on, but that's a sign of a good pub in my book. I've never needed to

We had a really delicious dinner here. Highly recommend. And the two guys who were working were lovely - felt so welcome, even though we’re passing through on a walking trip. It was a review that said the dining room was tired that made us think we’d be ok in walking clothes.

Highly recommended. We all had the roast (4 adults, 2 children). Food was excellent, tons of it, roasties, parsnips, stuffing, homemade Yorkshire’s, lots of veg to choose and cauliflower/broccoli cheese tops it all off magnificently. Everything was delicious. Good selection of

Rooms desperately in need of some redecoration and repair of things like broken lights but generally clean. Very comfortable bed, but thin walls and the door having a drunk in the room next door was not great. New landlords and breakfast is instant coffee you make yourself and

"Downstairs probably best but noisy at closing time"
"Room 2 in Annexe was very very nice but perhaps in the summer on ground floor next to beer garden could be very noisy but I'm assuming that"
"If you like to go to sleep earlier than 1130pm ask for a room at the back of the building."
"Ask for a room at the back as the front ones overlook the very busy garden."
