Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We needed somewhere close to the hospital for an early morning appointment. Was cheep, clean enough, warm and a good shower. Only needed a place to lay our heads so was brilliant foe exactly that! Close to a small shopping Centre. Just walked around the corner for Chinese for tea! Got milk and bread for brekie. Great to see a toaster and microwave in the room. Perhaps I didn't read into it properly when I booked, but we unfortunately had two single beds in our room! Bugger, never mind!
Recommend if you just need somewhere to stop over! Don't expect luxury though!!

This motel is handy to the airport. Close to shops and restaurants in Kilbbirnie. It was clean and tidy though somewhat dated. The bed was comfortable and the heating sufficient. This motel is not flash, it doesn't have a lot of the extras you might get in a newer place, but it doesn't have a big cost either. I spent a comfortable night here and the staff were courteous and helpful.

We were looking for a pet friendly overnight stay prior to our ferry crossing - this place has mixed reviews but we found it was all we needed (I will admit to second thoughts when we pulled up but don't let the outside put you off!). We were asked for an eta and Tahir was there to greet us. Our room was not what you'd call spacious, however it wasn't minute either. Large comfy bed, GREAT shower pressure, tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge etc. For what we needed and paid, I believe it was good value. For pet owners, there was no problems having our wee dog in the room with us and there is a huge park literally across the road :)

Traveled to Wellington for about a week and decided to stay at this motel due to its relatively low costs. And I did not regret that decision one bit. The rooms were neat and tidy, the beds were suitable, and it was quite in general. Close to the shops and hotels, so definitely a very convenient location. Overall a great stay!

This motel was handy for us, being not far to the Inter Island ferry terminal where we were heading in the morning. It would also have been easy to get to the airport from here.
The room was clean and tidy as was the private bathroom and well equipped kitchen area. The room had a dining table with chairs and a TV. The staff were helpful and friendly and we parked right outside - overall a good experience

Absolutely loved the shower water pressure. The room is quite compact, the toilet is even more. Cleanliness of the room was all right. Had the things I expected in the room. Room servicing was done quite okay. First day had a decent usable towel but the second day both used and unused towels were gone and replaced with a towel like thing that was old, stained and quite disgusting to be honest! Went for the second one and that looked like a cleaning cloth, torn and visibly stained. Yak..... if you have no choice in town and just need a place to crash for the night - it may be the place, otherwise no.

Decor very uninvitng and drab.found it weird that it did not have sprinklers or smoke detectors in the room but a fire plan,on the positive it was close to the shops

Management arrogant and do not want to help. once they have your money you can forget about service or any understanding. For every question they ask you to discuss with your travel agent. At the last minute they have advised that they won’t have a transportation because the driver went to sleep (and they don’t care at all that you did pay for this service)

Dirty dirty dirty.... we were desperate for accomodation but once i walked into the room i was disgusted and walked out, the double bed had a huge dip in the middle, tea stained all the way up the wall obviously from when tea bags were thrown in the bin, but the cruncher was when i spotted the jar of vaseline under the single bed.

I would really like to recommend this motel. The service is second to none. I arrived in Wellington later in the day & the motel proprietor picked me up from the airport. My room was very comfortable and clean, and they went out of their way to help me. The manager even went out of his way to book me a rental car for the next day. The service here is prompt and efficient.
