The Cynthiana Beach Hotel is favored for its idyllic setting, offering guests sweeping sea vistas and easy beach access—perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets. While the serene ambiance and diverse evening entertainment are appreciated, there's feedback suggesting some acts lack freshness. Room cleanliness and views receive applause, but noise and amenity issues have been flagged.
The staff's warmth and efficiency stand out, despite occasional service hiccups. Guests commend the overall cleanliness and range of pools, yet some express discontent over additional fees for certain amenities.

The hotel has a paradisiacal location away from traffic, no hotels in the neighborhood and its own rocky beach. A jetty with a metal staircase at the end leads into the sea, very convenient. The water is crystal clear and clean. There are parasols and deck chairs on a pier, as well as other deck chair areas and a lawn. A rock formation on the beach forms a kind of lagoon that is also suitable for children.
The food is very tasty, every evening there is fish and various types of meat in alternating preparations, vegetables, potatoes, etc. and very tasty salads. The desserts are also homemade and excellent. If you have half board, you don't have to pay more than €3.95 for a large beer or a glass of wine. These prices also apply in the cozy bars. At the beach bar, cold drinks are served in plastic cups, which is reasonable. The local KEO beer tastes very good and the Cypriot wines even better.
The restaurant in the main building has a great terrace where you can watch the sunset while having dinner.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Since they vary slightly depending on their location, I don't want to go into details here, except that they all have a balcony, air conditioning and a safe. Unfortunately, there is currently no laundry service available, which I personally found a bit problematic.
The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Many greetings to the lovely Monica from the restaurant!
In the off-season outside of school holidays, the hotel is really a gem and absolutely recommendable, actually an insider tip. The three stars are not enough.
The hotel is not really recommended for people with walking difficulties. It is quite spacious with three levels (hotel, pool, beach) and with some stairs it is not entirely wheelchair accessible.

The hotel itself is lovely . It is a big hotel and the rooms are a decent size . We stayed bed and breakfast but you can upgrade to all inclusive €40 per person per day .The hotel has a hidden gem outside …. A little lagoon ! Which was amazing . Plenty sun loungers but you do get a lot of people putting towels down and disappearing for the day ! I personally don’t agree with that as some people were able to get a lounger . We wernt at any point able to get to the 2 pools available but we did manage just to get down at the beach . The staff from the reception ( Tamara and another lady didn’t catch her name ) were more than happy to help with booking trips and keeping the room on (€40 until 6pm day of departure) . Aphrodite and the team at the beach bar were good fun polite and happy to help . ( happy hour 6-7 half price drinks ) I’d recommend one of the daiquiris ……. Breakfast does a hot range of eggs bacon/ham sausage beans …. Pastries , cereals, fruit , cheese and cold meats ( as a picky eater I managed every day to find something so plenty there really ) House keeping is meant to be every 2 days bed changed every 3 ( some of the ladies were grafters some I have more graft in my little toe ) our bed wasn’t changed and I had to go ask for toilet rolls and clean towels twice the second time we never received . Yet bins were emptied so they had been in room , tbf the rooms were tidy but would have been nice to have clean towels . Can’t really give my opinion of entertainment but did hear numerous people many times complain about the singer 🤣🤣🤣 as in everyone left ( that could be the reason the singer was on as a hint to go to bed ) I know the entertainment was different every night as advertised but we went out ….. Other than that we had a great stay and would more than likely stay again , thank you for having us …… oh and thankyou for fruit wine and water as we were out celebrating ……

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We've just returned from another wonderful stay at the Cynthiana - what can I say, it's just wonderful and each visit just gets better and better.
We have been visiting the same hotel on and off for about 20 years now and the reason we keep going back is due to the staff and their attention to detail. We received such a lovely welcome when we checked in and from the moment we arrived it felt like we'd come home and were with family. All the staff work so hard there to ensure the guests have the best experience possible and I'm sure that if there were any issues, they'd go above and beyond to rectify any problems.
We have stayed in a number of different rooms and we've used the bed & breakfast, half board and now all inclusive dining options and I have to say, there is always something on the menu that I could eat. There is a large selection and each day has a different theme.
I do feel that some of the negative reviews for this hotel are a little unfair. I'm not disputing that the reviewer felt the need to post a negative review as it's good for places to know when things aren't quite right but I do think that as the reviewer, you need to be aware of the things that will be included in the price you'd paid and then what would be additional. If you're only paying to stay bed and breakfast in a standard room then you won't automatically get things like a fridge or tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel offer the best they can and if that's not to your liking then don't go back.
For me, this hotel can't be beaten. I love where the hotel is situated and there are great bus links into both Coral Bay and Paphos Town itself. It's far enough away so that it's quiet and peaceful but it has lots of shops and places to eat on the doorstep.
All the staff are incredible and they make the holiday for me. 20 years ago we stumbled across the Cynthiana and I'm so glad we did - it's our little piece of heaven, my true happy place!
A big thank you to all the staff, special thanks to Aphrodite & Alex in the bar, Irene on reception & Andreas, the General Manager - Can't wait to go back again later in the year and here's to many more visits!

I had high expectations for my vacation at this hotel, especially after reading all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, and I found myself quite disappointed.
To start, my room was unclean. There were shoe marks on the walls, and a bead under the sink remained there for the entire week, despite not being mine. It was clear that the cleaning staff focused only on changing towels and bed linens without actually cleaning the room.
Our bathroom was also problematic. There was no seal on the shower glass, causing the bathroom to flood every time we took a shower. It took six days before the seal was finally installed. For three days, we requested a room change due to a lack of internet access in our room. We were told it would cost us an additional €120 for a new room which we found unacceptable.
When we approached the reception about the Wi-Fi issue, they promised to send someone to check the situation but suggested we use the Wi-Fi in the lobby. To our dismay, the Wi-Fi in the lobby wasn’t working either. So we went in a store and bought Wifi extender for 30€ so we could use Wifi in our room.
The walls were so thin that we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. Our neighbors frequently slammed doors and knocked on each other’s doors until midnight, and then again starting at 6 a.m., making it impossible for us to get a decent night's sleep.
The swimming pools are not suitable for those looking to swim peacefully. They are constantly filled with children jumping in without consideration for others. We managed to swim in the indoor pool for a few days until it, too, was taken over by children. Afterward, everything was slippery and wet, making the pool area hazardous. It seems like the hotel has pool rules, but they are not enforced.
As for the food, both breakfast and dinner were underwhelming, with a strong focus on catering to English tastes and a lack of local cuisine. For authentic local food, I recommend visiting the nearby tavern.
The staff were not friendly, especially at the reception where they often rolled their eyes at us. Other staff members wouldn’t even return our greetings and looked away when we tried to interact. They also charged us 30€ for late check out but our friends had to pay 25€. I guess they make up prices based on how they like you.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to couples or individuals who are not traveling with children. The view and the surrounding area of the hotel are beautiful, but this is the only hotel where I couldn't wait to go home because I didn’t have any peace. The only positive aspect was the reasonably priced cocktails.

Dear visitors of the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. Thank you for finding the time and reviewed our hotel. We are not happy to read negative reviews like yours but there it always a but.... All rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels and everything else that is needed. I have no idea where did you find all these wrong things to mention in your review even show marks on the walls. WI FI works all right in all areas of the hotel, there are times however that all guests of the hotel use it and it limits its full capacity. I see guests every day on video calls, downloading movies, surfing the net constantly. Hotel is full in August and of course there are children in the pools. However we have also a lovely sea lagoon and the sea to swim if you are so bothered by children. We cater for all nationalities and try to have a balance in everything including food, we are really sorry if you think we cater for only special nationalities. Changing a room that is not what you booked, of course there is a charge and is fully justified. That is the reason we have sea view rooms garden view rooms etc. I am really surprised by reading that our staff are not friendly. Thirty euros charge for a late room, is that a lot? be real. 6 hours after normal check out? Happy travelings.

We booked all inclusive booking but most of the drinks are not included. Unable to have bottled water, have flat ( no carbonated )mixers as they don’t seem to have it in the carbonated gin. You have to pay for any normal mixers. Any cocktails again are thrown together but when we ask about it they say we have to pay if we want them properly done. No snacks until 15:00 for a couple of hours. Very rude staff other than 3 people. One lady at the pool bar ( not the beach bar) was really rude. For £930 each I am greatly disappointed, I ended up pay out £1700 with having to go out every night for drinks. This is the worst holiday I have ever been on with jet2 and I book at least twice a year with them. I complained to Jet2 spoke to Miles who was very nice and apologetic but didn’t call me until the day before I was leaving. He advised he was unable to contact me before that. He spoke to the manager who advised that we could use the facilities until we were picked up by our transfer but that is standard. Food was ok but seemed to run out of fresh juice one morning ( again if you wanted fresh juice any other time , you guessed it, you have to pay). The rooms were not cleaned properly and they kept tipping my case over. Absolutely shocked they get repeat business but they do. I put my complaint on the hotel face book page, I was personally attacked which I called them out on. They then took my post down so all you see is nice or miner issues. My advice to the hotel is all inclusive means all inclusive not the A4 piece of paper of maybe 20 things on it . I already paid in advance for my food and drinks . If I wanted to go hotel only I would have booked that

Oh well, didn't I expect it? You look like you main concern was only to get drunk in premium brands. You were asking for Jack Daniels to be included in your package. No mum. You mention nothing about the hotel location, and you were not happy with the staff and you wonder why we have so many repeat guests. The reason is simple, visitors like what they get and the friendly staff make their stay even more comfortable. You never came to us and address the issues you have had. The only thing you did was to post a negative review and thank god your got your answers. I do not want to take the Jet2 side but when Miles was here you never came to see him. He left you messages and again you did not show up to discuss. What did you expect from me as a manager to do, on the last day of your stay. Pay you money back? At 12 noon you check out and we take the wrist bands out, we usually let the guests enjoy their last day till departure but this is not standard. We do it because we care and we appreciate our customers. When guests arrive we try and explain what is included and what is not. You apparently ignore this and you only wanted is to punch us by posting a negative review. I suggest you visit next time 5star hotels and ten times more and get Jack Daniels.... Had a week here with family . Hotel and room was very clean . Staff very friendly . Manager came up to speak to us nearly everyday . Enjoyed ourselves by the beach bar , gorgeous views and bar man neo was very friendly . If the kids wouldn’t eat the food they were happy to make chicken nuggets or pizza for the kids . Loved the breakfast plenty of choice to suit everyone . And different meals everyday . Cleaners were around all the time making sure your room was clean and even seen them at the front of the hotel brushing outside . Staff happy to Ordera taxi through the hotel to go into town which isn’t far from the hotel taxi cost 20 euros . If you want a relaxing holiday with amazing views this is definately the hotel to stay at . Cant wait to come back Caron and Keith from wales .

We have come back from a wonderful 10 days all inclusive holiday at this fantastic hotel.
It is hard to know where to start, but I think I will start with the staff. Bear in mind we went from August the 13th -23rd, so towards the end of season. Ordinarily this is when exhausted staff are struggling to be enthusiastic. Not so here.
Irene,Dimitrius, Andreaus (misspelt), Sara our housekeeping person, Aphrodite ... I could go on to every member of staff there. They were so friendly, knowledgeable, fun and helpful. Our son loved every second of his time and was well looked after as were we.
The food was really good. Remember this is a 3 star hotel but the quality was very high. All inclusive is on a buffet basis and the theme changed every night. I loved the Cypriate and greek evenings but oriental was also good. Breakfast is very varied with something for everyone. The food is replenished constantly so no dried out eggs in site.
The selection of drinks available in all inclusive is really good, but there is also a happy hour in the evenings so drinks not in the all inclusive are only €3.50 for a cocktail.
The room was large and comfortable...and quiet. There is air conditioning at no extra charge. We took a media server with us so had a couple of movie evenings in the room as it was close to 40 degrees outside.
There is a really well priced shop on site..again really friendly.
There is live music or bingo most evenings. Kids are entertained by the energetic and very fun Eddie. Our son loved the table tennis, boulle, water polo and volley ball. Eddie also doubles up to do an evening music quiz. The hotel itself is lovely with a great restaurant, stunning views, lovely bars and lovely pools (one is for the executives that we didn't go in but looked nice). We did not have an issue getting a sun bed. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere, and housekeeping takes great pride in making sure every area is perfect. The hotel is on the sea, but it is a rocky area not sand. However it has a massive tidal pool that has fish swimming in it, and it is easy to swim out. The 615 bus takes you to coral bay in 10 minutes or Corralia bay (our preference) in 15 minutes if you like stunning beaches. It is also a short hop to Paphos and all the attractions there. Tombs of the kings is a highlight. We loved it here and will be back. What a find!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and was not as good as the first. The hotel is tidy, excellent views if you have a sea view room. We had a twin room with an extra bed in this time, and I will say the put me up bed was awful, sagged in the middle, squeaked and such a thin mattress. The cleaner would come every day and give toilet roll, change bins and towels, but our beds were not changed the whole 7 days we were there and balcony wasn’t cleaned either. The sun-bed situation is diabolical, go down at 8.30am and there is nothing by the beach or pool (same as last year), I think they need to introduce something to stop people reserving beds and going off for hours. The location is good, at the top of the road is a bus stop which will take you to coral bay or Paphos for €1.50 each if before 9pm. Overall this is a good hotel or I wouldn’t of come back for the 2nd time, but little things need improvement.

Dear Michelle, thank you for choosing to spend another holiday with us. I am very sorry about the sunbeds, however we did not have any complains so far, we have added more that 20 more in the pool area and more in the grass and beach areas. We do tell people not to place towels and leave them there, however we are in the hospitality industry and we want guests to enjoy their stay, if some guests are inconsiderate we try to talk politely. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon. Best regards Andreas Ioannou General Manager

This is certainly a 3*plus Set in a stunning location where you can eat out over mini cliff The food is lovely as is the drinks, although the red wine did give us heartburn ! The rooms are ok clean but not swept up before mopping. We had to move rooms twice as the garden view wasn’t there as stated on our invoice.Carpark view As we found out the garden view comes with sea view , with a premium Manager Andreas has an exceptional hard working staff It would be unfair to single them out The little beach was ideal plenty of beds Or you could use the garden or pool beds A little isolated is the hotel but if you find the short cut up to the top road to catch the buses big plus on the walking. Professional entertainment every night apart from the last three cos the hotel was closing down for the winter as it was for the alacarte and mini bar Surprised to see so many Polish there we were only 10% most of them just come for 3/4 days with special travel company’s Don’t know if that goes for the summer as well Good luck!!

I’ve just landed back yesterday from another amazing 2 weeks at this hotel, this year was my 4th visit and I will be returning back!!! I’m gunna break down my experience just so anyone who is looking at booking this hotel knows what it is really like…
We arrived at the hotel around 12pm at the hotel. We are greeted at reception to check us in. We got to our room we had a bottle of water, 2 mini bottles of wine and some fruit… this is a welcome gift they do not replace them once they have gone.
Our room had a sea view we were in the first block above the restaurant and reception, where as the other members of my family pay for the big suites as there was 4 of them in that room. Which ever room, both were cleaned everyday, fresh towels and the beds were changed every three days.
Down to the pool/beach, there is two pools at the hotel both pools have subbed surrounding them so there is plenty room, however if there is no room around the pools there is sunbeds on the grass area which is in the middle of the sea and pool, or there is plenty of beds down on the beach and pier. If you were gunna go into the lagoon down at the beach or was just been a little careful as is can be very shingle so if was suggest getting some pool shoes.
There is entertainment at the hotel, is isn’t content through out the day but they are there, during the day there is aqua aerobics down in the big pool, darts, bowls, and yoga on the grass, there is singers, bingo, dancers on a night in the bar and there is also a small kids club/disco on a night… all are advertised in the reception on noticed bars, so we never missed a thing.
We were all inclusive, this meant we had breakfast, lunch, dinner, icecream from the beach bar, selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and cocktails. The food up in the restaurant were all buffet style, breakfast they have a hot section for sausages, bacon, beans, eggs etc, they have a section for meats, cheeses and things to make a sandwich, we also had breads, buns, cereal and a full section of yogurt, fruits and preserves. Lunch is the same, buffet style with a hot section which changes everyday, large choice of salads and sauces, breads and then the desserts. Dinner changes very night, still a buffet but the nights have themes which are all listed in the reception, my favourite night has to be a Friday which is oriental, spring rolls, prawn cracks, noodles, fried rice, the fall works!!
The staff at this hotel are so friendly and they will literally go above and beyond for you, if you have an issue or like something a certain way if they can make it happen they will. We got to know the staff very well being here for two weeks, you have the same ones at the restaurant, beach bar and bar so they get to know you. I need to give a special mention to Mr Andreas, he is the manager of this hotel, he will come and sit with you, talk to you and any issue weather is big or small talk to him, he will sort it. He pulled me a pint down and the beach bar and he was helping clear the tables in the restaurant.
Yes it is a 3 star hotel but it’s worth so much more than that, but if you are coming to the hotel or thinking about it, ignore the negative comments, experience it for yourself, trust me you won’t regret it, we will be back!!!
Thank you to Mr Andreas and all his amazing team!!!
