First trip to Cyprus. Booked an Easter break with my daughter as the rest of the family busy with work commitments. I don't usually write hotel of holiday review but thought I'd try and give a fair reflection of our week away. Arrived at Paphos Airport after a 5 hour flight, passports and luggage collection was a bit slow to say the least. If you have ever been to a Greek Island I found the roads in Cyprus about the same so the transfer again wasn't the swiftest but we did get to the Theo Sunset and the driver was helpful and friendly. There wasn't much of the day left but pleased to say when we arrived reception was quiet, staff really friendly and efficient so within 10 minutes we made it to our room. The brochure said side sea view? We were on the ground floor and you could just about make out the sea through the building work at another hotel as the Theo Sunset is set one row further back. Cases partly unpacked we had a wonder around before the evening buffet meal in the restaurant on the upper floor. Once out by the swimming pools we found the views much better, if you cut through the back of the hotel and go between the building you are soon on the coastal path which is excellent and well worth walking along. My Daughter and I found the buffet restaurant fine, my Daughter isn't very adventurous but we found something for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Twice she ordered from the snack menu at the bar and skipped lunch as she preferred this option. Alot of fresh salad, sauces and a selection on Greek based foods. I'll try anything, if you don't like something try another option because we found enough selections. If you want egg and chips or burgers then maybe not for you, so try Blackpool. We found the restaurant and bar staff really friendly and efficient. We happened to be at the Hotel whilst there was an Official public holiday in Cyprus so it did get quite busy but no problem for the staff, they remained calm and efficient. Our room was clean and tidy, towels changed every 2 days but room cleaned everyday and beds made up. I read in one review about ants. We did have some ants on the outside patio, bolied the kettle and get rid with hot water, job done. I found Taxi quite expensive and also wasn't sure where he was going even though I had the destination on Google maps. Rest of the week used buses, suggest all day pass so you if you miss a stop or need a connection just jump on another bus. Weather was great (can't blame anyone if it rains, luck of the draw) and sun loungers easy to get. Swimming pools clean but they are a bit chilly. My daughter used the SPA for one treatment, probably not a Hoar Cross Hall but she was happy enough with the staff and the treatment. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Would we go again, probably but we do like to visit different places so maybe in a year or so.

We stayed at the Theo Sunset Bay for four nights in mid- March and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The views from the hotel are amazing and can be seen from the pools, restaurants and bar. The staff were all wonderful, particularly those in the bar, and were all friendly, helpful and attentive. We were all inclusive and the food was lovely with lots of variety. As a vegan, there were lots of options for me - a great salad bar, lots of vegetables and fruits and a good variety of breads. There was live music on three of the nights we were there, which was great, and lots of facilities to keep us busy including a gym, indoor pool, tennis court, table tennis and pool table. The local area is quiet but the views along the coastal path are stunning and there are bus stops outside the hotel with buses every 10 minutes to Coral Bay and Paphos. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone as everything was perfect for us during our stay. We had the most fantastic time and would love to return in the future.

First time in Cyprus and stayed here with friends. We were there on b&b basis however I didn’t actually try the food here so can’t comment on selection or quality. The room was comfortable but bed sheet was unclean on arrival :/ There were no cooking or self catering facilities however there was a fridge in the room which came in handy. Despite us being there out of season, there was entertainment in the form of a singer. Same guy each night. Not great but he did his best and we appreciated the effort. Staff were helpful and friendly

We visited at the beginning of March with our adult daughter. We were given two rooms at the top of “spiral” stairs- there were a row of these type of rooms with one family room on the ground floor and only the two rooms at the top which was perfect for us. The rooms (412 and 411) were handily located and we had lovely sea views with a sunset every night. We didn’t sit out on the balcony as, at this time of year, we didn’t really get any sun and it was very windy for most of our stay. We still enjoyed the view and stepped out onto the balcony to appreciate it properly! I don’t want to repeat what other people have said but we were on half board for 10 days and really enjoyed the food although it would probably have felt a bit samey if we had stayed for 2 weeks. You do have the option to change dinner for lunch if you want which is flexible. What made this hotel stand out for us was the view which you can see from the restaurants/bar and from both outdoor pools and many of the rooms. The view over the bay was lovely in both daytime and the evening because you could see lots of twinkling lights. The hotel is appropriately named! What was also very pleasant was that very few people reserved sun beds with their towels so we never had a problem finding a sun bed. Only a few of the staff were particularly friendly but the others were very efficient. We had a minor issue with our room which was sorted very quickly. We hired a car for the whole time we were there which we found handy . Paphos, Coral Bay and the Tombs of the Kings would be very easy to get to by bus but having a car made it easy to visit Aphrodites Rock and the shipwreck just past Coral Bay. We can highly recommend visiting Avakas Gorge which was only a 20-25 minute drive from the hotel but would be very difficult to get to without a car or other hired vehicle. It was an amazing and interesting place. Nowhere is perfect and there were a few minor niggles but nothing worth mentioning. If you are ultra fussy, this might not be the place for you but we had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

We visited for a week at the end of Feb/start of March for our belated Honeymoon/early baby moon. We got so lucky with weather of 20-22 degrees all week. Staff were lovely & friendly. The hotel was clean & modern. It has 2 outdoor pools, a small child's pool (referred to as a jacuzzi but isn't hot) and an indoor pool that is between 26-28 degrees. Though lots of people of trip advisor have complained about the size of the indoor pool & roof being run down i was in it most days while away & it was great! Our room was a double with partial sea view and was a decent size & some nights we could see the sunset from our balcony. There was lift access as well as stairs to our floor. Our room had a fridge, kettle, tea tray, big tv (suggest bringing a fire stick with too if you want netflix) & the hotel has free wifi. Also, there were uk plug sockets in our room. We also had a shower/bath. Beds were a decent size and comfy. As for food, we went all inclusive so 3 meals and 2 snacks (AM/PM). I'm vegetarian and always found something to eat but sometimes the lunch/dinner menus could have just had pasta dishes with the meat on the side like other days for more choice. Great selection at breakfast of cold, hot food, sweet and savoury (my fave was eggy bread which was labelled as french toast and pancakes with all the toppings). Various themed dinner nights, our faves were Oriental night, Italian night & bbq/grill night. Snacks were much bigger than anticipated including burger and chips & full size pizzas. Also, help your self ice cream by the bar. Drinks included cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine/sparkling wine, fruit choices, hot drinks and fizzy drinks. Staff were not too much when dining (unlike other reviews have said). One thing to note, depending on which room you have a meal, in the drinks taste sometimes changes in strength. There is an onsite spa provided by a 3rd party. Sauna/steam room is an additional cost. I also booked a 50 min pregnancy massage with Patriyya which was wonderful. Nearby there are 2 beaches, wave beach which is about 500m and small and Josi bay beach which was gorgeous and a cobble beach 700m away. We also took the bus to Coral bay beach which was 20 mins away and a beautiful quiet sandy beach. There are bus stops nearby and a few restaurants but i would personally recommend unless you have a hire car or like a good walk to book some excursions ahead of time through viator/book all inclusive. Some tours include pick up/drop off and were so reasonably priced. We tried the bus a few times (i'm quite savvy) but it was too much of a pain to get 2 or 3 buses somewhere as some buses were regular and others were every couple of hours. There is also a shop onsite, a bit pricey but a local shop nearby too by a bus stop called crazy spoon. They also have a ping pong table on site for free. a Kids small play area & a pool table you have to pay for. They also had evening entertainment near the bar Mon to Sat.

We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay at the Theo Sunset Bay for 6 nights. We were on bed and breakfast only and had a room with a wonderful sea view. We could not fault the breakfast which had such a wide range of options and was continually being topped up. Our bed was extremely comfortable and king sized and the room was quiet. The weather was gorgeous while we were there and we even went in the pool! There are two lovely pools and the adults only area is a great place to relax with a book and take in the view. The local beach is an easy walk away and has a great beach bar too. (Shut in February but we have been there before). The beach is a great spot to watch the beautiful sunset. We used the hotel as a comfortable base for exploring the island with our hire car. We found it to be conveniently placed on the main road (but not noisy) and we used the regular buses to get to Paphos town. It is almost the last hotel out of Paphos towards Coral Bay but the buses are brilliant and make getting out and about easy. We had not stayed outside of Kato before but we enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and there are some good options nearby if you hop on the bus. We liked the quieter feel of the hotel in low season and there aren’t many hotels open in February so it is a very good option. We recommend the hotel for couples and families as a budget friendly place to stay with no compromises on service and quality.

What a great hotel. Service is excellent and the facilities are good. We stayed here as a couple without children and only ate breakfast at the hotel. Fantastic amount of choice and never ran out. We had a junior suite with sea view which was super clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and a gorgeous view. The hotel is on the main road between Paphos and Coral Bay and the 615 bus runs really reliably and regularly between the two so although the hotel is quite a way out of town it is easy to get to. We hired a car and drove all around the area exploring. We ate at some good local restaurants (reviewed separately) and there was plenty of choice. Not many of the hotels are open in February and Paphos town was quiet as a result but we enjoyed the relaxed vibe and there are still lots of bars and restaurants open. We would recommend Theo Sunset Bay as a base for the exploring Cyprus. We thought that the bar area lacked atmosphere and was functional rather than stylish but there were plenty of folk enjoying their evenings there and with all the doors open in the summer it would feel very different. There is easy quick access to a really lovely beach ( one of our favourites) with an amazing sunset view. We took drinks down there and soaked up the beautiful sunsets every day.

We've just returned from a week at this amazing hotel. We booked B&B in a Junior suite with sea view for a very reasonable price indeed ! The hotel is situated about 20 minutes or so from Paphos water front and about 15 minutes from Coral Bay. Both are easily accessed by buses that run every 20 minutes. The hotel is fairly remote and out of season there are not many other places to eat. the beach is a 5-10 minute walk and there are a couple of places that are probably open in the summer. We booked B&B then upgraded whilst there to half-board and in reality, for the cost, we should have booked / upgraded to all-inclusive ( cheaper if you want more than say, 3 drinks a night ) Our room ( 717 ! ) was very generous in size with a decent sized balcony and a massively comfortable super-king bed ! It had a great view across the bay towards Coral Bay and this was only partially affected by the building in front. The bathroom was fine but maybe a little tired. BE WARNED though, the loo was a nightmare !! ( avoid room 717 ! ) We had maintenance out at least 4 times to unblock it when in reality it probably needs more drastic action. The room was "cleaned" daily, bed made and towels changed. Sheets were changed once during our stay. I say "cleaned" as the room really needed a deep clean. You could see dust etc. where the furniture had not been moved and this could be easily rectified. On the whole though, for 3 star, the room was pretty good. Tea and coffee were topped up each day but there were never any pods for the fancy coffee maker ? The main building has a spacious reception area with loads of seating, there is a very comfortable bar, with a pool table ! All this looks out over the pools towards the great view. We were very pleased with the food offering here. Breakfast and lunch were generally served in the lower restaurant / dining room and dinner was usually in the upper restaurant. All the meals were buffet style with heaps of choice and the evening meal was generally themed with changing hot dishes each night. Breakfast and dinner both had a massive salad bar ( can't comment on lunch ) Many more items to choose from then you could wish for. The hot offering was also extensive, well cooked, well presented and of good quality. The cost of the food was very, very sensible for the half-board or all-inclusive upgrades. Drinks were well priced but as above, all-inclusive is probably the best way to go. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and all-in-all we could not have wished for a more enjoyable stay. Thanks to you all.
