We had three couples on our trip. We had rooms 1, 2, and 3. They had amazing views of the lake. I found the people here more than friendly also very interesting. Our husbands were hunting so they had cereal, toast and coffee and tea in our rooms for them everyday so they could have something before leaving early. The rooms were not luxurious but nicely furnished and clean. We just felt very comfortable and welcome here. We really liked it here and would stay here again for sure. Thanks to all the staff that made our stay here very pleasurable.

Well that's a bold claim, but the view from our balcony at the hotel was absolutely stunning. You need to book a king or twin room with balcony and lake view, and get rooms 1 - 4 (we were in 4) if you can. Nice sized room with comfortable bed. Restaurant and bar on site. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were excellent with great waiter service. Highly recommended and I'm so glad we stayed there as opposed to in Wanaka

Note that I stayed in the hostel, not the hotel. There were lovely views of the lake, friendly staff, and easy to find parking - and it wasn't too far from Wanaka. However, the kitchen was small and cramped, the beds weren't that comfortable, and the facilities were outside and basic.

We stayed here for almost a full week in the hotel portion while my husband hunted. We arrived the room was spacious, clean and had a lot of room for our luggage. The bed and chairs were comfortable. Our deck with table and chairs was perfect for some relaxation time. The view was spectacular. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They quickly recognized that the hubs and I were on different schedules with him hunting. They always thought ahead to the next day with helpful tips about restaurant times, things in the area for me to do and anything else they could think of to make our stay better.
