What a stunning spot! The units may be looking a little tired but they were spotlessly clean, warm and well situated. Easy parking and great welcome. Topped off with a stunning meal (and cocktail) at the restaurant. I would love to come back and just chill for a few days.
The room and bathroom was quite dated. But the bed was Comfortable with electric heating as the wind from the lake gets strong and chilly at night. Overpriced as for room and distance is 15km to town center
This is a basic hotel more of a lodge with adequate rooms to sleep. The door of the room need to be blacked out as this is awfully bright and wakes you early in the morning. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the next room. Beautiful views from the window of Lake Hawea. Shower had fantastic pressure but bathrooms had awful smelling body / hand wash and a diffuser that gave us headaches as it was so strong. Overall okay place to stay for a night but quite far from Wanaka and would have preferred to be closer to the city. Overpriced rooms
Thanks to Jo Roughan for organising our amazing stay. We were spoilt rotten and had food, drinks and accommodation sorted super quick after arrival. A Sunday roast was just what we needed. The lake view room was stunning.
We booked in for the Sunday Roast Buffet and were certainly not disappointed Entree was shrimp cocktail or a range of cold meats, seafood salad etc Main was roasted leg of lamb or hot ham with an excellent selection of fresh and roasted veges including Yorkshire Puds! wide selection of hot and cold deserts - favourite was steamed pud. All for $29 or discounted if you are a Gold card holder. Stunning views and great staff There were other options available off the menu if you didn't want the buffet Well worth a visit if you are holidaying in the area.
