Very nice clean and homely B&B. Both Kim and Gill were very friendly. We didnt really explore Bodmin as we used it more of a base to go elsewhere but what we did see of, it it didn't seem to have much going on. On our return to the B&B one of the days we were there we met other staying guests who had been there for over 1/2 an hour trying to contact Kim as someone had left the key in the front door in the lock which stopped anyone from being able to get in. After numerous attempts to get hold of Kim all of which went through to voicemail and everyone eager to get out of the rain to get ready to go out for the evening, I had to enter the property via another method to unlock the door from the inside. I did remember to take my shoes off before I did as per policy ;). It would be good for Kim or Gill to have a mobile number that we can contact them on when they are out in case of situations like this. Bed was a bit too firm for both my wife and I but I didn't sleep too badly due to the nice soft duvet and pillows. Good airflow in the room and nice bathtub and good power shower. Breakfast was very nice and there were always offers of more if required. Lots of clean oxygen in the house with all of the indoor plants. Very nice gardens surrounding the house. Nice place to stay overall.

The B&B is located in a historic Victorian house full of charms, surrounded by a fascinating garden and in a very quiet quarter of Bodmin although a walking distance to the centre and its places of interest. Bodmin itself is in the heart of Cornwall, so ideal to visit all the many towns and highlights of the region, although you will need a long stay if you want to see a lot, because travelling on the narrow and difficult roads takes a considerable amount of time, at least for Italians who are not quite used to those kind of small roads and to driving on the left! Coming to what is essential, we stayed in the flat "Honeypot" and it was nice, big, spotlessly clean, equipped with really everything you may need. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever tasted throughout the different areas of Britain and, last but not least, Gilly and Kim are kind, helpful, caring. They manage the place catering for all customers' needs and wishes and are able to do it with sustainability always in mind. They made of our stay the perfect one, and definitely we will go again as soon as possible because there's still so much to see in Cornwall!

We arrived on Monday 13th August greeted by gilly and Kim and shown to our lovely quiet room in a beautiful Victorian house with en suite bathroom gilly really helpful as regards places to visit and best places to eat. I love Gillys ethos regarding eco friendly living encouraging but not in your face about it .good choice for breakfast which you make the evening before for cooked items all locally sourced and beautifully cooked fresh fruit and cereals also available nothing is too much trouble would definitely recommend .

We have just got back after staying a few days in bedknobs in Bodmin. Beautiful room with everything you could need, smellies , hairdryer, fan, towels, tea coffee and hot chocolate. Tv. We stayed in Beech room, the pictures do not do it justice at all. The en suite bathroom is big and beautiful and has an air bath and shower. The breakfast every morning was to die for, cooked food, fresh fruit, toast and very yummy home made marmalade. More important than all of that were the hosts Kim and Gillie, they definitely are the hosts with the most. If you want a spotlessly clean room, gorgeous food, peace and hosts that will help you from seeing you out of the drive to giving you maps of the area and telling you what the weather will be like that day then this is the place to stay.

Delightful stay, a nineteenth century house, very helpful hosts, lent us maps and provided suggestions for places visit and to eat. An emphasis on being environmentally friendly. Superb breakfasts, couldn't be faulted. Convenient for Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail ( a bit of a stiff climb back to the house!). The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway within walking distance, Lanhydrock House a three mile cycle ride away.

Thank you for your kind words. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay at Bedknobs. Bodmin is ideally situated for exploring the many hidden gems that Cornwall has to offer and we're happy we could share some with you. Though our house (like many in Cornwall) is part way up a hill, it could be worse - we could be at the top!!

Thank you Gilly and Kim for another wonderful stay at Bedknobs. It was my birthday whilst we were here and we arrived to find my favourite Lilies in our room. We stayed in The Beeches Room which is stunning. Breakfast is out of this world, thank you Gilly! Can't wait to visit again soon

We’ve just returned from a five night stay in Bedknobs and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting this part of Cornwall. We really don’t need to write much more as all the earlier reviews say it all, but we do confirm that it is a delightful place to stay, Gill and Kim are excellent hosts, our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. So book now for your visit to Cornwall!

Staying at Bedknobs was such a treat. Hosts Gill and Kim pull out all the stops to look after their guests, serving delicious breakfasts, with eggs from a neighbour's hens, home made preserves and honey from their own bees! The attention to detail is awesome- carefully sourced shampoo, shower and bath products, hand and foot cream, a pile of towels in the bathroom, two sizes of bags in every room to take away on outings, a wide variety of books and dvds, wifi and surge free charging points, and much more. Gill and Kim also know everything there is to know about places to visit and eat and drink and went out of their way to give me directions, even lending me one of their Ordnance Survey maps. I was well impressed! Bedknobs is one of my best memories of my long week-end break in Bodmin. The hosts have furnished and decorated the house with the same care and attention to detail as they give their guests, making it a real home from home. I'll definitely be back- would have given six stars if these had been available!

This is almost a destination rather than a stopover. It is probably more of a tiny boutique hotel rather than a B&B. The attention to detail is astonishing; two glass tumblers in the bathroom plus an extra one for your toothbrushes; two more tumblers in the bedroom and two wineglasses plus a little fridge.stocked with soft drinks and mineral water. The bathroom itself had both a heated towel rail and a tall efficient radiator - very welcome but so far unknown to us outside our own home. We had just spent two nights in a Premier Inn (comfortable bed, good bedroom, helpful staff) with neither a heated towel rail nor a heater in the bathroom. Quelle horreur! The bedroom and public rooms were beautifully decorated - why didn't we think of that paint and wallpaper combination? - and furnished. The bed more comfortable than ours at home. Throw in caring hosts in Gill and Kim, excellent breakfasts, within easy walking distance of the centre of town and you have an an excellent mini-break destination.

This is Bedknobs B & B - I'm not sure what the B & B stands for - it may be Blissful & Brilliant or Beautiful & Beyond or simply Book & Book again! This was our second visit - it certainly will not be the last, usually you can find something to criticize but not here! A wonderful establishment run by welcoming and charming hosts! Look no further.
