Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent B&B located on a quiet farm in Lanivet, just a short drive outside Bodmin. Two rooms are in the lovingly restored barn conversion and another is in the farmhouse. Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated rooms with large en suites. Comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep. Gill, the hostess, will provide a warm welcome and an absolutely wonderful and hearty Cornish breakfast served in the bright conservatory overlooking the grounds.

A very welcoming afternoon tea was put on by Gill who is a lovely hostess, on our arrival, Gill was very helpful in what ever we wanted from telling us the easiest way to get around the area as we had not been there before, to suggesting where we could eat. The barn was very cosy and had all we needed for our stay. Breakfast over looking the wonderful hillside was amazing, kingfisher, nuthatch and blue tits joined us as we ate, wonderful. we hope to return to see them all another day.

We stayed in Bokiddick farm self catering cottages for 3 nights. The owner Heather Hugo was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage as described in their website is 5 * and very well maintained. Location was ideal to get to many attractions half n hour to Padstow beaches,, Tintagel and few minutes to Eden project. It’s working farm and our son enjoyed feeding calves. We enjoyed the whole stay . Would definitely return.

Gill Hugo is the nicest host possible. She was very welcoming and got me everything I requested for breakfast. She even received a parcel sent for me and it was waiting for me in the room when I arrived. A good wi-fi connection enabled me to stay in contact with family and the office back home. I will definitely choose this b&b again should I require accommodation in Cornwall.

I have known Gill for a number of years when I have stayed at Bokiddick on business trips and always vowed to return with my wife on a holiday trip. We were not disappointed! We stayed at Bokiddick with two friends for 3 nights in July this year. We stayed in Roosters with our friends in Bull pen, really spacious rooms with good facilities and spotless. Gill is a lovely host and will do all she can to make your stay enjoyable, breakfast was plentiful with a good range of choice from fresh fruit, porridge or a superbly cooked Cornish breakfast . Good information on places to visit and eat, well positioned for touring Cornwall. The two cottages to rent looked really good as well. Highly recommend - we had a great time and will be back.

Even though it was a one night visit staying in the Barn's Bull Pen room it was memorable and hope to return soon. Gill is a lovely host with so much care and attention given to everything, immaculate in every way and cream tea and breakfast fabulous. The peaceful location and views are stunning.

This was our third stay at Bokiddick Farm B&B, located outside of Lanivet village on a working dairy farm. Gill is a warm and wonderful hostess who tends to all your needs. The bedrooms and bathrooms, are spacious and immaculate. Beds are very comfortable and we always receive a good night's sleep. Breakfast, served in the lovely and bright conservatory, is cooked to order and delicious.

We stayed in one of the converted farm buildings which have been converted to holiday accommodation of the highest order. If you want to get away from the hurley-burley of life, this is the place for you. Handy to the main trunk road into Cornwall and yet away form noise and neighbours and lets you relax in the quiet of the countryside. The cottages are wonderful and comfy with bath, shower, and all amenities. Walking across to the farmhouse for breakfast is wonderful, with even a brolly supplied if wet, which it wasn't!! The breakfast is all you could ask for, and certainly set us up for the day. To sit in the conservatory having breakfast, whist watching the bird's having their breakfast at the same time in the garden, and looking out over the Cornish countryside was a real privilege. Gill is a wonderful host, and is full of useful information about the area. Thoroughly recommended.

The Cottage is one of Bokiddick Farm's self-catering homes, bringing together the best of the 16th century and the 21st century. This 400+ year old dwelling is steeped in historic ambience, with a lovely ancient stone archway between the well-appointed kitchen and the roomy dining area. Because the cottage has been thoroughly modernized---wifi, gleaming granite-countered kitchen, comfortable shower, 2 WC, plenty of electrical outlets, washer/dryer for laundry, cable television in multiple rooms, huge super king size bed in the main bedroom--we enjoyed 21st century comfort the whole week. The ingredients for a full English breakfast awaited us in the fridge when we arrived. Proprietor Heather Hugo was endlessly helpful, even standing by one day to receive my lost luggage from the airline courier so we could go out sightseeing. The dedicated carpark right next to the kitchen door was convenient for loading and unloading. In the evenings, we enjoyed the cozy lounge. In the daytime, the bright sunroom was a wonderful place to read and relax. Beautiful country walks lay right beyond the doorstep, including one to nearby Hellman Tor and its prehistoric dwelling place. The location just off the A30 makes it easy to reach any place in Cornwall within an hour or so. One week wasn't long enough to enjoy this idyllic location. We will look forward to a return visit!
