Stayed here for the Friday and Saturday the hotel was lovely and warm room clean and comfortable a bit undated could do with a overall. Staff very polite and good value for money would I book here again yes.
Our children booked us a night away for hubby birthday... hotel very tired in need of a good paint.. old fashioned colours, dated carpets, water staines on ceilings....our room was massive (19) with a balcony which was lovely waking up to the waves rolling beneath us, comfy bed, clean towels, hot water.. shower very small but adequate.. just the small things that let it down please see photos below.. duck tape on window, cobwebs, no threshold bar, no tv signal....... but we had a nice stay..
We needed somewhere for a Saturday night stay and this was one of the few places with rooms.
There was a slight problem with booking, even though we have booked through a well known website. The hotel did not seem able to take payment through that site and called me on the afternoon of our arrival to request payment over the phone. I don't give my credit card to people who just call me, so we paid on arrival.
The hotel was clearly quite grand in its day. We were given an "upgrade" to a premier room with scenic view. The room was huge with a four poster and a semi-circular bathroom in the turret of the hotel. Work to update the room could have been better, but there were some nice touches including two bars of chocolate, plenty of tea/coffee etc.
we missed out on the included breakfast so can't comment on that, and we parked in the multi-storey, about a 10 minute walk away.
We spent an excellent break in this hotel as part of a Shearing's coach trip.
Our room had an amazing sea view and was large and comfortable with great on suite facilities. The food was of a high quality and varied and, as Shearing's customers, we had the facility to upgrade to the al la carte menu at a reduced price.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful or professional. We would particularly like to mention two staff in particular Marcel and Evelin. We were greeted with smiles on arrival in the dining room and their customer service was impeccable. Great ambassadors for this hotel. We will definitely be returning.
Just one night on a pretty chilly November mid week break. Room was dated but fastidioulsy clean, breakfast completely ok not exceptional but such value. Staff all appeared eager to please and £60 incl breakfast was great. It could do with a general upgrade but I will return.
