A very pleasant stay in a lovely room with a view. Good breakfast, with a variety of cereals and plenty of choice for a cooked breakfast. A very good welcome. The bed was comfortable and the room had a range of useful facilities.

Really friendly, quiet B&B and great VFM for peak season on the Island. While not on the seafront, the Kenbury is a 5 minute walk from Shanklin train station and about 100 yards from a regular and reliable bus service to Sandown & Ryde eastwards and Ventnor westwards. Excellent, informal breakfast, served by a friendly and attentive geezer, with veggies well catered for. Highly recommended.

This was my first ever visit to the Isle of Wight so it took much research to find the ideal location to stay - this fitted the bill perfectly and I was not disappointed. I was greeted my Paul who was extremely helpful and told me everything I needed to know and suggested some places to visit. The room, despite being a 'small double' was actually a pretty good size and it suited me to a tee. The bed was comfortable and it had been a long time since I slept that well! The tea and coffee was very adequately stocked and there was also a fridge with fresh milk which was a great addition. Had a slight issue with the shower as the water pressure wasn't great but definitely did not detract from my overall experience. The breakfast was absolutely superb - there's a choice of a full English or you can choose one of the lighter options (there's a fantastic choice). You order your breakfast the day/night before using an order form - I experienced this elsewhere last year and I think it works very well. As well as the 'main' breakfast you also get a choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and toast as well as the usual tea and coffee - it was a superb choice and set up. The B&B is also superbly located - good for parking and just a 5 minute walk (if that) to the railway station. Also just a short 15 minute walk to the beach and amenities. Overall, I had a superb stay here and will definitely be back at some point!…

Thank for the review and we hope to see you again. We are sorry about the water pressure we are slowly, where possible, installed pumped showers in each room to compensate for the water pressure into the building.

A fabulous stay at the Kenbury for Her on a Hill's walking holiday. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. There is also a guest lounge which was a real bonus as we were travelling as a group. The hotel is also really handy for the station which is a bonus. We will be back next year. Thank you to Paul, Paolo and team for your hard work and the warm welcome.

The most wonderful Bed and Breakfast we have EVER been to! Paolo was an amazing and very friendly host and could not help enough. I am on a special gluten free and dairy free diet and he was hugely helpful. I had fresh oat milk provided at the table and in my fridge, gluten free bread and gluten free biscuits and my breakfast menu was especially tailored to me. He could not do enough for me and it was hugely appreciated! The room and bathroom was beautifully clean, very comfortable bed, fridge in the room and parking available throughout the stay. 100% RECOMMEND this wonderful Bed and Breakfast and a massive thankyou again to the lovely Paolo for making our holiday for us! We will DEFINITELY be coming back! Lisa and Lee x

This was our first visit to The Kenbury and we highly recommend you stay here when you next visit the IOW. Very warm welcome, comfy beds, superb breakfast and super care given for our 8 month old Grandson. We had a Premier room which was huge with lovely views of the garden and the sea in the distance. Our Son and his family had a Superior room with a separate room for Alfie with comfy cot and bedding provided. The choices for breakfast were excellent and all cooked to order and served when you were ready not left to keep warm en masse like other hotels we have stayed in. A lovely walk down to the beach despite the steep hill, there is a manned lift operating during the day which we did use on the last day. You can walk into Old Shanklin but we found it easier to use the car as we were visiting other places after a leisurely walk round. The Pencil Cottage Tearooms are well worth a visit.…

Good stay, clean and comfortable rooms, easy check in and check out, good breakfast. Paolo was very helpful. The location was great too with easy access to beautiful coastal walks. The rooms were too warm at night in May. A lighter duvey may have helped. there seemed to be fans in the room but we did not try them. Good stay overall.
