Had booked a night at the hotel for my husband and myself, plus our little well behaved Princess Scarlet (our little dog!). Fortunately there is a 'dog friendly' restaurant and a bedroom where she could stay with us (A MUST for us!).
Whilst the Island is 'dog friendly', having

Fantastic little hotel, friendly warm and welcoming staff.
Great location, about 2 minutes walk to Shanklin village. The beach is very close, however there are a few steps down to it, then it's an easy walk to the promenade.

The Double or Single Room at the Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel
view from sea-view bedroom
I'm disabled & use a small travel mobility scooter, how accessible is the hotel?
I know that there at least two bedrooms on the ground floor just inside the hotel. There is one step and I cannot remember sorry if these bedrooms are below or above this step. In saying this you would have to go up the step to get to the dining room, lounge, bar etc. Not knowing how much mobility you have perhaps a phone call to the hotel would help you. They have a sister hotel next door the Luccombe Hall Hotel and they may have downstairs bedrooms and I think that the ground floor has no steps. I hope that this helps you and I would recommend a telephone call to the Luccombe Hall Hotel the number is 01983 869000. Best of luck Debbie Wakefield

What's the difference between the 'sea view' and 'sea facing' options?
We only have 2 different grades of rooms, standard or seafacing. Our Seafacing rooms look out towards the sea and do benefit from a lovely sea view. There Is a supplement for these rooms. Standard rooms are situated on the sides of the hotel that do not face the sea and do not have a sea view. We do not accept dogs in any of our seafacing rooms.
