We went at the very end of October 2023 so it was extremely quiet, which was good for us. Reception was helpful and friendly. The site is well laid out with plenty of space per pitch and enclosed areas of 8 to 10 hard standing that gave it an intimate feel. Facilities were nearby but not intrusive, with waste desposal, water, grey water, etc. There are some combined toilet and shower rooms which are very spacious and modern. The toilet door locks were as obscure to operate as the shower control but both worked once we'd worked it out (on the case of the shower, turn the knob anticlockwise and let the cool water run through). The beautiful bay is 2 minutes through the copse, which was right behind our van, and lead to the John Muir Way with options for equally lovely walks into Dunbar round the headland, or around d the salt marshes. The Brig and Barrel is also a very short walk on the main road and well worth a visit for delightful food and friendly service, very dog friendly. The Coop, just this side of the town centre, is big enough to have most stuff you'll need. Dunbar has a couple of really good independent shops selling nice stuff at a range or small to big prices and worth a look. It also has pubs and eateries, most of which we didn't visit on our short trip.

Stayed in a motorhome there overnight - it's a well organised, well-resourced clean & tidy campsite with toilet blocks, showers, chemical waste disposal, kitchen (with sinks, microwaves, kettle and toaster), grey water disposal, and electric and water points (depending on what pitch you book). Dogs welcomed. Great location for the beach and coast; and close to town as well. If you have a motorhome, there's plenty of free parking (and paid) in nearby Dunbar for most vehicles. Recommended.

Been a while since last vist with family and friends on a camping trip
The site’s facilities are spotless in a new shower blocks .
Dunbar about a 20 min walk away or a short drive .
The site boasts a great beach location just a short walk through wooded area at base of site , this area of site around pitches 35/36/37 is a real sun trap .
The site has play facilities for the toddlers and as I say a great wooded area around site for the kids to play in .
Belhaven also boasts family huts for hire at lakeside.
A clean site , great location , pleasant staff and Dunbar is a wonderful town with a great harbour to visit . Also worthy of note is this site has a relaxing feel to it and is quiet in the main . Can’t wait til August to return !

Park lovely setting well laid out , near beach. Great for walking or cycling.
Showers and toilets clean and an excellent washing up facility, however felt for a campervan 2 people 1 small dog and awning £55 per night a bit too much.
Maybe thats why there was plenty of motorhome spaces.

Stayed for two nights in a Motorhome looking for a relaxing break. Easy to find, receptionist pleasant and shown map to pitch and working route to beach.

Found pitch easily but found the grass area (which was for our awning) very uneven and sloping even although the hard standing area for the motorhome was pretty level. This meant for unpleasant table tilt when set up. There was absolutely no view from the pitch area which was a disappointment.

Toilet and shower facilities weren’t too bad, although they tended to close these facilities at the time where you’d expect most use… turned up to use them in the morning to find they were closed. Need to think about timing.

The chemical disposal room was very bad, not clean and actually blocked. Clearly not checked on a regular basis. Hygienically, they could do much more offering hand cleaning soap and hot water to rinse out the cassettes.

If you don’t want children running around till late, this is not the site for you. Kids running about and using scooters everywhere, including electric scooters around toilet blocks. Ball games played with a few caravans, vans and motorhome struck with flying balls.

There were many people breaking the rules, including open fires, noise after 11:00pm, not too mention fumes from certain parties eminating from “weed”. Not particularly family friendly.

There was no evidence of wardens or anyone checking facilities at any time.

The motorhome disposal point was not well designed with the grey waste drain being particularly difficult to position for all but the smallest of motorhome.

I really cannot recommend this site at all and will not return, which is a shame since their other site located at Tantallon was a completely different experience.

We camped at this site for the first time to visit Belhaven Bay. It's very handy - there is a shortcut from the back of the campsite making the beach a 10-15 minute walk (over rough ground).

We were allocated pitch 63 on arrival. We asked to be moved when we saw it, as it was right beside the bin area. and we anticipated it would be noisy. We were told the campsite was fully booked and there was no other space for our tent. Unfortunately, we were woken by bin lids from 7am on both mornings, including people dumping glass. The same area is used by campervans to deal with waste water, so we also had motor homes queuing outside our tent with engines idling, waiting to use the facilities. It was a bit like camping in a service station.

Staff were polite but no-one made any effort to sort this out for us, despite spaces in the tent field beside us.

On a positive note, there are several play areas, the toilets were very clean and there was an ironing board, which I don't think I've seen on a campsite before, if that's what you need.

Overll, we are left disappointed, and this could so easily have been changed.

Stayed in our campervan, but site facilities such as toilets and showers were spotless. The area itself had great access to beaches and local area. There’s also a pub restaurant well within easy walking distance and if needed a bus stop outside the main entrance.

After a last minute weekend away we stayed here, it was a very pleasant stop. The staff were very friendly and found us an area the park up, the facilities were 10/10, clean, everything you could want and even single family showers with heated radiators, hair dryer with toilet and sink.
A definite one to add to you list if in the area.

We have been here before and love it. We expected the motorhome and caravan section it to be busy when we arrived but it hasn’t been, probably due to the price of £43.45 a night. We are here for 5 nights and our neighbour is here for 2 nights and is only paying about £35 a night, why is this? Not happy! Feeling ripped off.

Additionally, as a business, it is better to be full and having money coming in rather than high prices and a low occupancy.

This review is purely based on cost as the location is great.

Easy beach access and great for watching the sunset over the bridge to nowhere. So close you can take all of your stuff for a BBQ. Plenty of facilities, nice and clean with lots of hot water. The washing up room had great extras like a fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave.
