Usual good standards as you would expect from Camping and Caravaning Club sites. Had two hard standing pitches next to each other, one for caravan one for tent. Had a lovely stay and did find the site to be perfect as base for exploring. James, site assistant was very helpful with local information and we greatly appreciated all his tips! Be sure to ask him for travel advice to Edinburgh. However two problems… Where are the shower curtains as mentioned in previous reviews? Site manager: Did feel our arrival had inconvenienced him some what and only chatted with me because I asked him how he was on arrival. Then whilst we put up our awning made a fuss over some of our awning spilling onto the grass from our hard standing pitch. If it was a problem I would’ve moved the van and the awning no problem as rules are for peoples safety and I totally understand. Instead made us feel like plonkers and then said it was fine…why make the fuss and bring our mood down if you don’t want us to move it? If this is something important please advise on arrival that all of your unit and awning must be contained in the gravel. I’m certain nobody will object. This may seem obvious to you as staff but not all customers are as bright as you. Thanks for a lovely stay all the same. Would recommend and be back. Please offer shower curtains it’s annoying having to wet your towel drying the seat to sit down and put your socks on.

Quiet site with sea views and lots of wildlife to look at, but a good 30 minute walk to the beach from the site along a quiet lane. Good for those with bikes though. We were lucky to have had good weather as I think the site is quite exposed to the elements. Plenty of open space and dog walking areas but ticks were about so we avoided it. The showers and toilets were very clean and the laundry was good. I did a wash and dry for about £6.50. We were greeted in a friendly way and shown to our pitch which we had some choice, which was nice. We had a lovely view and the sunsets were amazing. The person who cleaned the toilets was very rude to me when I went to wash up as he thought our little dog wasn't on a lead. He shouted, harshly, "get that dog on a lead, please." I lifted my hand to show him our dog was on a lead and he replied, "oh it is on a lead." No apology. The same man was cleaning the Elsan point and I waited for him to finish, he said, "don't dirty it will you." I said I would not. Not the best of CCC sites in truth and would't rush back. We went into Dunbar before we booked in and it is such a pretty place with shops, leisure pool, harbour, pubs ands cafes. With a big motorhome it was quite difficult to park as can be imagined but the people in the town were very friendly. Not enough there to call us back but glad we saw the quaint little town.

Great clean site with fantastic views not sure non club members price is fair over 40quid a night is very steep for a tent sleeping 3 two of which were kids! Great clean facitlities but nowhere to freeze cool blocks (to be given covid) as an excuse is a bit outdated now, especially given there is washing machines iron etc provided which get same amount of use. Staff, Gusippe was bloody amazing so friendly and helpfull loads of local knowlege and gave me many suggestions on what to see and do really nice chap. However the dude walking round with his clip board and large brimmed sun hat was a bit of pleb for having a go at my 2 daughters who were very clearly packing the tent away into the car getting ready to leave to be told we were late leaving and to hurry up kinda spoiled our vist totally but failed to say a word to the couple with a caravan next to us also packing away. Its all about customer care skills which he clearly lacks! Otherwise our stay was good.

Overpriced for what you get. Nice views but that’s about as good as it gets. No shower curtain in cubicles which is a very odd and made my clean clothes wet. Someone was showering in the next cubicle to me whilst I was drying myself and their shower water was splashing up really high onto my side, level with my knees and all over my shoes. I moved to the far corner of my cubicle and still got covered in someone else’s shower water! I literally had to wait for them to stop showering to get changed. Then I came out to a man doing maintenance in the toilets with no warning apart from him whistling. They close the whole block to clean at noon and put signs up to warn campers, so I don’t know why a man was in there while females were showering unannounced. To top this off, the hand dryer was out of order and has been for days, with an often empty box of paper towels and an overflowing swing-bin.

This was our first time on this site and it certainly won't be our last. Stunning view from our tent looking over to Dunbar and the Bass Rock. Fantastic sunset on our first evening made the view even more stunning. The site, although reasonably busy, was always peaceful and quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful and work very hard at maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the site and especially in the communal facilities. On arrival we were even given a few options of where we could pitch our tent. Lovely walks in the area and very close to Dunbar which has ample free parking. Did the Alpaca Trek with John Muir Alpacas which is highly recommended if you manage to get a booking as it is extremely popular. Looking forward to a return visit.

Realy good site 30 miles east of Edinburgh, mostly level pitches with a good view over the sea to Bass rock. 50 min s walk to the town of Dunbar or quicker if you take bike or car, 10 mins walk to a nice beach and onwards to the lighthouse and another beach.. The facilities are good and very clean. Dog walking areas for those with dogs. Staff on th ewhole very nice same can't always be said about fellow campers.

Been going here for years, this must be the worst management I have seen. The dishes wash up area was not as clean as before. No shower curtain in cubicles as was pervuoously. I think the overall price of £140 for a grass pitch with electric hook up for 3 days was very exexpensive. When they say check in is 1 o'clock they keep you to it exactly!!!!

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this site and every time we fall more in love with it! There are lovely sea views from all over the site, which is well-laid out and really neat. The facilities are clean and well-maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. There is plenty to see and do both within walking distance and a short drive - stunning beaches, pretty coastal towns with pretty harbours, interesting shops and restaurants as well as lots of historical sites. We can be as active or lazy as we feel like! Definitely recommend this campsite!

Have just spent 5 nights at this site, single Mum with one child, two dogs and a tortoise. Had an issue with my jockey wheel however Staff/Robert came to my aid - greatly appreciated! Lovely location, great views on a clear day and very close to the beach. Services were spot on. Fabulous walks and enclosed exercise area for the dogs. Short distance to Dunbar, by car and you could walk it. Everything on your doorstep - loved our pancakes with bacon and maple syrup from the Garden Centre, right next to an Asda Supermarket. Second visit and we will be returning…

After our family holiday plans for Spain were put to bed we took our kids here with our motorhome and a couple of tents. Covid 19 procedures are very good, toilet and shower block open but with understandable measures in place. Site is maintained to a high standard, well kept and staff are brilliant! There is a beautiful beach a short walk down the hill too. Loads of space for kids to cycle, play and for us to relax. Cracking views too from our pitch, we'll definitely be back!
