Callum Gallagher and his team did a fantastic job organising a surprise party. Everything was on point and nothing was an issue. Great night had by all. Would definitely recommend if your planning a party or event.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of a housing estate.😳 Paid £110 for an extremely small double room. The en suite bathroom had a smell which was a mixture of public toilets and a residential home, this was the theme of the toilet facilities throughout the building. Taps swinging round, cracks in the sinks, maintenence seems to be of little concern at this hotel. Which is quite surprising given the extortionate prices for drinks youd think they could afford some basic maintenence. On first look this venue seems beautiful but doesnt take much to scratch the surface to get a true picture. Positive:- The food and service is excellent

The room was divine! The decor was beautiful. The bed was really comfy and to be honest i wished we were staying another night. Staying here made us feel special but at a very agreeable price. The bathroom was so beautiful I took a photo of it to show to others. Location means you need a car if youre planning on visiting nearby Durham as we did but its worth it for the luxurious room and bathroom provided The hotel is oddly located amidst a housing estate so don’t expect luxurious surroundings outside the actual hotel. But if you want to hide in your room with your other half for a romantic night away this is perfect!

Unfortunately whilst I had the beef (paid extra for sirloin) and it was tasty and rare, the plates were cold and consequently so was the food. Tables are far too small for four people. Over £80 for one course and a drink for four people is excessive and there didn’t seem to be a choice of starter. I had asked at the bar if there was a menu and I got the stock answer … ‘Sunday lunch….. pork, beef, lamb or turkey, overall, really poor
