Building site next to our room (148) work started 06.30, first night 07.30 remaing 2 out of 3. Finished about 17.00 Staff said it was moto's fault, i feel room should not have been rented. Was not informed no room service, notice that was supposed to be in room had been forgotten. Room a bit cool but we were offered a portable heater. Staff friendly good location

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this hotel but were pleased. We needed somewhere close to the A1 for a trip up to Scotland and this was definitely close to the A1! Despite that, the hotel was suprisingly quiet, both with regards traffic noise and noise from the services area. The room was very well insulated. The room was basic, but comfortable, and warm, shower was good with no disruptions in the water supply. Duvet cover had seen better days and was a little threadbare in places but was clean, as was the room. Parking is free for hotel users and is sorted out on check-in. No food available in the hotel (apart from continental breakfast I believe - we did not have) but there is plenty of choice in the services next door - Burger King, KFC, Noodles, Marks and Spencers. Check in was prompt, swift, and the chap was very polite and helpful. Check out quick and hassle free too. We will definitely stay here again

We were not expecting much for our one night stay, however, we were wrong! Never had stayed in a Days Inn before and we were pleasantly surprized at how nice it was. Our room was clean, comfortable, warm and even being on the ground floor next to the car park, it was very quiet. We would stay here again if ever we need to.

First hotel stay with our dog. And wow, we were made to feel so welcome even our pooch. Well looked after form day one. Staff knew I was alone as my husband was working near by, greeted me every morning, even stopped for a little chat. Sam, one of the domestics went above and beyond to make sure both myself and the dog were well catered for. Even down to knocking room door to see if we needed anything. This has made our first hotel stay with the dog a very welcomed one. Can’t wait to come back.

NOTE; I CANNOT REVIEW THE HOTEL BECAUSE I LEFT AFTER THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE OUTLINED BELOW I made a booking at Days Inn, Wetherby through Booking.com but when I arrived they couldn’t find the booking. The first receptionist was polite and seemed to want to help, but a red-haired and bearded man came out from a room behind reception and, when I showed him my confirmation email, was very offhand, talking down to me and telling me I had to contact the agent I booked through. Despite finding this difficult to comprehend, I did what he said and spent nearly an hour on the phone to Booking.com, eventually handing my phone to the first receptionist so he could speak directly to them. In the end, I didn’t stay at Days Inn because they insisted they didn’t have the booking even after speaking direct to Booking.com. But the worst thing about the experience was the attitude of the red-haired man. I asked him for his name as he didn’t have any ID and he said he was the operations manager and he would handle any complaint - implying I was wasting my time. When I asked him to write his name on a piece of paper, he told me several times to say “please”. This was very provocative but worse, when I did say please, he told me I’d have to wait because he was dealing with something - there was no-one else at the desk! I have stayed in hotels throughout Europe, the USA and Australia and never been treated in such a disrespectful and hostile way by any front-of-house person. I am submitting this “review” as a cautionary tale in case anyone should book there and encounter this person.
