Just returned home from a long weekend at The Crown Hotel. We have stayed there before but pre Covid. At the moment it is open for Residents only. The room was thoroughly cleaned as per current protocol prior to visit. room Keys wiped when handed in to Reception. We did not get any room service but should we require anything then Reception was just a phone call away. I have movement problems due to a bad back so when lift was busy found the amount of stairs to room awkward. Again due to Covid only 2 in lift at a time unless someone in your “bubble”. We were happy with the choice of food which was preordered. The waitresses/waiters worked hard to get everyone’s meal on the table at the same time. I brought my own Salt and Pepper as I don’t like it in sachets, again Covid prevention. Such a shame The Vault Bar was closed but these are difficult times the management are having to deal with. Because of it’s convenient location it wasn’t difficult to find somewhere else when Entertainment Bar closed. A big “Thank You” to management and staff for allowing us a short break. We even played Bingo lol.

Stayed here for 3 nights DBB on a coach trip. Great location, next to the old harbour and close to pedestrianized town centre. The downside of the location is the noise from the surrounding bars & restaurants. Lack of double glazing doesn't help. However a good set of ear plugs soon sorts that out! Single room was a good size, with a full bathroom (shower over the bath). Very clean & appeared to have been recently decorated. TV, hairdryer & tea & coffee making facilities in rooms. Some communal ares could do with a bit of an update. Staff (mostly) very helpful. Service in the dining room very efficient. 3 or 4 choices of each course for evening meals and standard breakfast offerings. Good budget hotel & would be happy to stay here again. Loved Weymouth.

Whilst the hotel could do with some modernisation it was adequate for a 2 night stay. Very well located near the harbour and beach. Staff were friendly and cooked breakfast was good. Room was spacious. Parking in Weymouth is definitely an issue but i managed to park in the hotel garage for 1 of the 2 nights. I moved rooms for the 2nd night as it was v noisy due to a music festival opposite the hotel. Did not appreciate the cleaner almost walking in on me on the 2nd morning! No guarantee of a quiet room as hotel is so central with several bars nearby but overall I was happy with my stay

This hotel, though needs a bit of TLC, nothing drastic,Our room was comfortable with the bathroom and shower,,with tea and coffee facilities. also as we ran out of these, we asked for more tea coffee and milks, we only had to ask and they would deliver them to the room the cleanliness of this hotel was brilliant, housekeeping staff were cheerful, The meals were varied and with a menu for you to fill in your choices for breakfasts and evening meals, you couldn't go wrong. The restaurant staff were so helpful and cheerful too, nothing was to much trouble.for them, If you want a hotel close to the harbour, shops and 5 minutes walk from the beach, we would recommend this hotel and we will be going here again. To all the hotel staff, we would like to thank you for making our stay a pleasant one.
