Travelodge Chippenham earns praise for its cleanly state and comfortable accommodations, with the hotel's convenient location near transport hubs and town centers being a highlight for guests. The staff's commendable service often garners positive remarks, although some visitors have noted issues like understaffing and noisy heating units.
While the rooms are generally appreciated for their tidiness, opinions on value and amenities are divided, with some guests considering the breakfast overpriced and the hotel's offerings basic. Despite this, the establishment maintains a reputation for peacefulness at night.

Detailed Reviews
What an incredible stay. We were blown away by this hotel. Every inch of the place is immaculate, bright and airy with friendly staff.
We had a large family room which comfortably held one double and two full size single beds. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The en-suite bathroom was brand new and immaculate with a wonderfully powerful shower and large fluffy white towels. The window in the bedroom opened with a safety lock which allowed fresh air. The room was exceptional value at £49.
We paid extra for breakfast (£8 per adult and children ate for free). Alongside the freshly chopped fruit and good quality yoghurts there was an excellent cooked breakfast. The sausages and bacon were butcher quality and everything on the hot plate was refreshed regularly by the charming Mercedes. Again- unbelievable value.
We really couldn’t suggest any improvements for this stay. I’d recommend bringing a hairdryer because the rooms don’t seem to have them- but otherwise every need was catered for.
Thank you Travellodge Chippenham!

Stayed here on a week night and arrived early evening. There is limited parking on site. We were greeted by a the receptionist who was very pleasant and obviously happy in her work, which is lovely to see. We were checked in quickly and efficiently.
The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The room had basic tea and coffee facilities which was great and the shower wasn’t stuck to the ceiling which was helpful (as I didn’t want to wash my hair in the evening). Shower gel and decent size towels were also provided.
The hotel is in a great location and we were able to walk to a local restaurant (Prezzo) and shops which was very useful.
One thing to be mindful of is that the internet disconnects itself each day. I didn’t realise this and had paid for it but was actually using my own data!
In the morning there was a knock at the door and I shouted that I wouldn’t be long and was just getting dressed. The door opened and a lady asked me if I was okay (whilst I was stood in my underwear and a vest!) as she said the smoke alarm was going off! We couldn’t hear anything and I said maybe my hairdryer had set it off. The lady said okay I just wanted to check you were okay and left. Slightly bizarre!
Overall a very pleasant visit and we will use this hotel again.

We really like staying at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. It's a great location with everything we need close by. The whole hotel is so clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and customer focused. All communal areas were cleaned and sprayed regularly and we felt safe staying for 4 nights. Shame lots of the other guests didnt bother to wear face masks.
There is some construction work going on next door during the daytime and the views are not outstanding. However this didnt bother us as we were out and about.

+1
If you've been to a Travelodge before you know what to expect: they are basic hotels but I find it very clean and convenient. They are ensuite, the rooms are usually of a decent size, they have TV, kettle, coffee, tea, soap, a desk, chair, armchair, mirror, a comfy bed and hangers for the clothes (not really a cupboard). So this one was like any other Travelodge, but I must add that it's been built recently so everything was new. That's also why the plugs had USB charging connections in there as well, that were very helpful. Also the price was very good. The view was towards a construction site so not good, but wasn't there for seeing the views. Probably it was noisy in regular days, but I stayed at a weekend. You have to pay for Wi-Fi but you get a little while for free. A nice plus, the guy in reception when I arrived and also the rest were really nice and helpful.
The train station is around 10-12 minutes away from the hotel. The National Express stop, near the bridge, is around 15-20 minutes away (walking calmly). Also right next to the hotel there's a new Aldi supermarket, so you can buy food from there. Good location for Chippenham, I'd be back if I needed to go there!

Having a weekend in Bath, this was a budget option. Easy transport link to Bath, only few minutes walk from station and £6 return train fare. A new hotel on a retail park. Right next to Aldi also a Tesco Express. Parking not a problem even though we didn't arrive till after 5. A new building going up opposite looks like apartments, but no noise as no passing traffic, apart from a few trains. Although the windows do open, the rooms all have air conditioning, which will be a bonus in the summer as The rooms and bathroom are quite small. They do have everything you need, a good shower, and a comfy bed. No drawer space for clothes though. Breakfast all you can eat kept topped up and cafe kept clean and tidy. The bar has a happy hour and serves evening meals, but the town centre is only a few minutes walk away with plenty of eateries and some lively pubs. A nice destination by itself, or a handy base for Bath without the hefty room rates.

The staff was very nice and accommodating thanks to Roger the manager who welcomed us and Jason, who cooked for us on a late Thursday evening when they were normally supposed to close the restaurant.
The room was small but clean, nice interior, rather comfy bed (a bit small and hard mattress for my preference though), the only exception being the aircon grille which was full of dust, hence reluctant to turn on heating.
The bathroom was also small but clean and all facilities functioning as expected, no clogged drains, low water pressure or anything like that.
The breakfast was excellent, great value for the money with quality food and staff frequently filling up and cleaning up tables.
The location of the hotel is also great, being right next to the train station.
All in all, me and my partner had a really good experience with our 2-night stay in the Travelodge Chippenham and would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The reason for the low rating is even though we paid for 24 wi- fi we weren't given the code, yes we could have ask but there lies the problem you have to ask for everything here. At breakfast there wasn't any tea or coffee available you have to ASK a staff member for it , there was no bacon, eggs hash browns or mushrooms on the self service breakfast so we had to ASK for them, when they eventually arrived it was probably the worst breakfast I have ever had . We also tried the pennine and pizza the previous night this was equally sub standard . I would stay here again as the rooms are great but would not eat here again.

The room was fresh and seemed to have been recently decorated. There was a shower and foam soap and hair and body wash dispensers were provided. The room was a good size and there were 2 comfy chairs, and a desk/dressing table and clothes hanging facility.
Parking was free and behind the hotel and there were plenty of spaces.
The hotel was close to some good eating places - although a hot breakfast was available to guests.
Anna on reception when I arrived answered my questions about good local food places but also pointed out that cooked breakfasts were available at the hotel.

Last minute decision to spend a night away and wasn’t disappointed. Staff were very attentive, room immaculate with an extremely comfortable bed. The Chippenham Travelodge is located in a very quiet area so no outside noise during the night. We will most definitely stay again…. ⭐️

We needed just one night in the area and this Travelodge was great. Pretty new so everything was in excellent condition. Basic room but nothing else needed, a short hanging rail, shower only in the room we had, hairdryer available to borrow if necessary. Parking on site which there was plenty of on our visit.

As long as you make the hotel aware as yes it is for the guests of the hotel it’s not a public car park
Midweek is 7:30 / 10:00 am I think but not sure about weekends. You can also have breathing your room. Children eat for free and continental is £5 not £8:99 as advertised!! If you book don’t book breakfast as you’ll pay the full price. Book it when you arrive at hotel.
Probably be fine, but i think it would be wise to call ahead to let them know. The staff are lovely so don't expect you'll have a problem.
The phone number is on your booking confirmation
Hope you have a nice stay
