The hotel served the purpose of providing a bed for the night! Unfortunately we wanted a meal on arrival but was unable to have one. We were informed beforehand however. Breakfast was ok. We were the only guests overnight which was a bit strange.

From the moment we entered the hotel, everything was excellent and beyond expectations. The room was very clean and decorated / furnished to a good standard. We ate in the hotel and the food was really good and clearly homemade. Portion sizes were unbelievable!! As for breakfast, again nothing was a problem and the food was very tasty. Gluten free options were readily available and knowledge on food allergens was good. The staff were brilliant morning, noon and night and we were made to feel so welcome. We will definitely be visiting again!

Stayed for two nights. Very friendly staff who made us feel more than welcome. Asked about our stay and what we had planned - the personal touch. Room very comfortable. Lovely big bar and restaurant and the food is something else. Excellent menu and extremely generous portions. One of the best hotels we've stayed in! Thank you.

Wanted only one night round the Gateshead area and found this on booking.com. How lucky were we. Beautiful to look at from the outside with all the flowers, and a warm welcome on the inside. Our room was very nice but cold so asked the young man on reception if he could do something about it, he soon got the radiator sorted. A modern very roomy bathroom with a good size walk in shower and lots of big cosy towels. The food in the restaurant was very good with huge portions and reasonable prices. After a good nights sleep we had a lovely big breakfast to send us on our way. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.
