We stopped at this hotel this Thursday for a family wedding, we checked in at 18.00 after driving up from Rugby. We got into room and it was freezing so i adjusted radiator which didn't work so back to reception who sent the maintenance man to fix the issue. After a couple of hours they told me the heating pump wasnt working in our room so they supplied a electric heater which did the job. In the morning woke up for a coffee in the room, although all the items were there we had no kettle?? So no coffee we put TV on and that wouldn't work "signal too weak" . In the end we got ready and went home. I left my details at reception for manager to contact me 4 days later no contact. Very poor hotel.

The outside of the hotel is not half as bad as inside granted it looks decent Upon first inspections,Please do not let that fool you..... I don’t know how on earth the company gets away with advertising such a well Furnished cozy room for you to arrive and see the shocking 1900s style room, the carpet was stained in various places , the bathroom light didn’t work and the tiles were peeling away from the wall the shower was horrific, I would rather wash in my own Faeces! not to mention the towels would of erased all my sins they was that rough! And door didn’t have a lock on! The tv that was almost pulling the wall off with it had only 5 channels!! The bed sheets was stained and smelt like pure foist ..... so I took of the cover off to find a mouldy Duvet the mattress was horrific .... gravel would of been more comforting .....the bedside drawers had dust in and didn’t close properly! The kettle had a thick layer of black dirt and grime all over the rim of it and the heating component at the bottom looked rusty as hell !! The windows didn’t close properly so I couldn’t sleep I was freezing and the heating was broken! The rooms are so overpriced for the slum that it turned out to be , I feel sorry for the staff that have to represent that hotel ! I would be ashamed knowing it’s all shambles!! I am absolutely outraged at my experience! It’s nothing like the photos online at all , I understand this may be a low budget business but there is standard expectations for any business!! I shall not recommend this to anyone not now not EVER ! I hope the hotel gets Incinerated! The staff are very very rude and not welcoming also !!

I got caught short and needed somewhere to stay, at 12.30am I pulled into the Oyo rock hotel. I was ' upgraded'to a deluxe room. it was the worst 109.00 I have spent. the room was straight out of the 1970s and the bed was hard and lumpy. one resident decided to smear curry all over the hallway so the whole place stank and no one seemed that bothered. no breakfast was available.

This is my second visit in the last 3 years. Unfortunately, things have only gone worse since my last visit. Last time the staff gave us wrong information when we checked in and we missed breakfast that was inclusive. They dint even offer a discount or alternatives. Very disappointed. This time the price was still high and the place look even shabbier. Everything is old and almost broken. The scenery is great but the facilities are appalling. The door locks were almost broken. The beds have lost its springs (same as my last visit), not a comfortable night at all. Pieces of furnitures are the same bad conditions as before. Not suitable for families. For a £147x3 night atleast a good mattress would have been nice. We had 3 rooms and all were the same! This place really need a renovation. There seem to be a change in management (oyo) since my last visit but they don’t seem to have done anything!
