Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This experience of staying here was exceptional. Attending a wedding at The Finches Arms nearby, a perfect position. We will definately be returning. The room was perfect, the temperature was great with ceiling fan which was very useful when getting ready for a wedding. The breakfast excellent. The owners were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Delightful.

We stayed with friends ( 6) we took all three rooms, for the weekend, to attend a wedding at the Finches Arms in the village. Upon arrival Julian came out and greeted us and helped with our luggage, very nice touch. The house is modern but built of stone, which is in keeping with the village setting, very clean, with a nice large guest sitting room overlooking the lake, our room was very comfortable with a lake view, and you can open the room door to a very tiny balcony, but a balcony no less, & have a drink, very pleasant. The bathroom was large with a bath & separate shower, very light & clean, the only thing we didn't like, the towels are very good quality, but hard, they need to be tumbled dried so they remain soft. Jenny pls take note........
We slept well, the house is vey quiet. Jenny's breakfast was very good, we had the full English & the next day the haddock & Rosti & poached egg very delicious, Jenny & Julian are very friendly, and go out of the way to be as helpful as they can, altogether a very nice stay, great value for money.

You are looked after very well at this B&B on the edge of the village just across the road from Hambleton Hall. The rooms are very comfortable with powerful showers and good beds, all 3 rooms had balconys over looking Rutland water. At breakfast their was fresh fruit and cereals you then had a choice of full english or Smoked Haddock with poached egg or kippers all served with Jennys homemade bread, all were delicious and beautifully presented. All in all we had a very enjoyable weekend staying in this beautiful house in lovely Hambleton.
