It’s not often we are impressed with the whole package but this little gem is special. Lovely room spotless and fresh spacious with lovey little touches it had everything you need for a luxury stay.
Even the biscuits are top drawer and a cute little bottle of milk on the refreshment tray made us smile.
The breakfast was more like a feast with a fruit platter , assorted pastries followed by a Full English. What made it extra special was Debbie and her staff, Debbie made us feel welcome and gave us a room to suit our needs when she didn’t have to. We will certainly com again

Our overnight stay in the Burleigh Room was wonderfully restful. The spacious room is tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard, extremely comfortable with a King sized bed and provides panoramic views over the golf course and Rutland Water beyond. Tea making facilities and complementary bottled water provided. The large en-suite housed both a bath and twin showers with plenty of hot water available, luxurious towels and all of the toiletries.
The breakfast served in the lovely clubhouse again overlooking the golf course was delicious, beautifully presented and very filling! The staff are all very helpful, pleasant, polite and efficient. I would highly recommend this venue and we will definitely be returning.

It was very convenient for a 1 night stay to go to a party in Manton although nigh on impossible to get a taxi the 2 miles to it. Local golf course and bar was busy and everyone very friendly. The bedroom and en-suite was huge and modern - very comfortable and thick white towels lovely.
Green keepers mowing from 6am and golfers chatting early Sunday morning meant we wished we’d had the windows shut but we should have anticipated that. Plentiful variety at breakfast.

We had a ‘superior twin’ room which was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and simple furniture. Excellent modern bathroom with walk in shower.
As their names suggest, the rooms are situated on one side of a courtyard, adjacent to the clubhouse, golf shop and events space. The courtyard itself is an outdoor seating area for the bar. Although our room was accessed from the courtyard, it’s window was on the other side, overlooking a parking area, the golf course and Rutland Water beyond. The club was busy whilst we were there, but everyone had left by 10:30 and we had no issues with noise.
Breakfast was eaten in a small dining room above the club bar which also has an outdoor terrace. The food was good quality and well cooked, and it was nice to see local suppliers attributed. Our only disappointment was that we weren’t able to get an meal in the evening as we’d expected.
All the staff we spoke to were lovely and service was excellent throughout our stay. We very much enjoyed the buzz of the golf club, and the courtyard rooms offer a different experience from a homogeneous hotel. I do, however, feel the price was a bit steep given that there aren’t the communal facilities that a hotel might provide. Consideration might also be given to dedicating the parking spaces directly in front of the rooms to overnight guests.

Booked here for two nights during the hot weather. The room is very nice and we booked as we had stayed here about three years ago when the rooms were new. They are still okay, but we were in the smallest room without aircon in 30 degree heat. It was like sleeping in a furnace and we kept the windows open and found a fan in the wardrobe, but had to ask for an extension lead as the lead was too short to plug in anywhere to get it in a good place to work. The bathroom needs attention as the sink plughole was brown and when I wiped the floor with the bath mat it was not clean The breakfast was adequate, but because my partner said no black pudding, it meant that I did not get it either. The breakfast was less than fresh, tasting overcooked and there were no gluten free cereals on offer for those with a gluten intolerance. We could have asked more questions, but the young waitress was a bit 'dizzy' she knew nothing and did not have her mask over her nose. The worst thing was after having no sleep in the hot weather, we were woken at 5.40a.m by the gardener getting ready for golfers on a Sunday morning ! This was totally unacceptable and it probably would be best not to have rooms at all if golfers are the priority. It is such a shame as when we first stayed, everything was perfect. We asked, and were given a full refund for our second night and decided we will not return. Such a disappointment as we had looked forward to a holiday (like most people) for over 18 months.

We were blessed to be in the honeymoon suite which was a delight, very clean and spacious.the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom roomy .
As we were with a group of eight with 4 golfers the gentle noise of the golfing fraternity was not a bother to us . The breakfasts were very filling and scrumptious and more than adequate , we were also at liberty to order with or without an item , for example , the black pudding which some of us like and some don’t.
The staff were exemplary attending to us with care and attentiveness, even though they were very busy at times.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back

On the plus side the room itself was very nice, Quite large, comfortable bed, large and well equipped bathroom with twin sinks and shower, heated floor, big soft towels; the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a nice fruit platter as well as a very good full cooked breakfast, pastries and cereals. Nice views over the golf course to Rutland Water.
On the down side there was no food or bar from late afternoon, and no indoor public area, on our first night we were the only people on the whole site - so it may not be for the nervous. The golfers also arrived quite early and made a bit of noise greeting friends and unpacking their cars.

Thanks to covid we decided to spend a few days here rather than go abroad as usual. So glad we did. Beforehand, I'd seen other reviews, about the noisy golfers starting early. Let's just say this is like going to the seaside and moaning about the seagulls. Some people need to get real. The only thing to be aware of is the bar does shut early if that's your thing. But for r&r this place is perfect. Check in was swiftly handled by Callan, the room was amply big enough for two, with good closet and sideboard storage. The walk in shower was fabulous and everything was spotlessly clean. The coffees and waters were topped up daily too. The bar/food service was amazing. During the day it is a limited choice food wise. I had the spicy chicken burger on the first night. My lips were still tingling 20 minutes later but it was mild on the throat. How do they do that? Wife had a equally enjoyable panini. Talking/taking food to the extreme. The breakfast was to die for. Fruit platter and yogurt, accompanying croissants, then a full breakfast with toast. Cereals were mentioned too, but that was just too much. Steve the owner, Vinny the golf club captain, Callan, Tom and all the other staff that we never got the names of, truly went above and beyond to make a our little getaway truly memorable. Thank you ever so much.

My husband and I found this little gem when heading to Cambridge. Who knew that a golf club could serve such amazing food, service and accommodation.
We stayed in the Hambleton Room with a very comfortable super king bed, double shower, wash basin, huge free standing bath and stunning views over the golf course.
We had a 3 course Sunday meal. My beef was melt in the middle and my husband ordered the turkey which was the same and veg to accompany was so well cooked with lots of taste. Not disintegrating due to being over cooked. The young lady that checked us in and served us along with the young gent that also served us breakfast were so friendly and professional but also catered for our every need.
Breakfast was again faultless which was again so tasty. There is a beautiful walk from the golf course down to the water and the views are stunning. Will definitely be staying again as I bet it’s even more stunning in the Summer.

My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard Rooms on the weekend of 5th - 6th December. Nestled in a converted courtyard farmstead which is now the clubhouse of a golf course the courtyard rooms are modern, quality converted farm buildings appointed with contemporary chic. They are extremely comfortable, with great beds, modern ensuite bathrooms, oodles of warmth and hot water. Although golf is the main focus here, you really don't need to be connected to the golf to have a great stay here. The rooms are a short walk to the lake shore with pleasant walks along the lake in both directions. The staff were attentive, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very good too. Gemma, one of the staff here went out of her way to accommodate our arrival and deserves a special mention. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
