Detailed Reviews
We’ve just got back from the dinosaur sleepover with our 6 year old daughter. The actual twilight dinosaur trail was lovely, the staff were great fun and brilliant with the kids! Our daughter absolutely loved it! We stayed in the family suite which all in all was a nice room, clean and comfortable with nothing to really complain about, however there were quite a few negatives to our stay overall. There was very very limited tea and coffee facilities in the room (we’re talking 2 paper cups, 2 teabags and 2 little milk pods) so if you’re hoping for more than one hot drink in your room then you would have to pay for them from the bar! Sneaky sneaky! £££
There is no information in the rooms about dinner/breakfast times, what time the park opens which would of been useful.
We had dinner in the restaurant, the food itself was actually quite nice however every single table in there was sticky!! Like, 90s sweaty dance floor sticky you know when your shoes stick to the floor?? Gross. We asked for a cloth to wipe our table as we could tell they were busy and didn’t mind wiping it ourselves but they insisted that they would do it but never came. In the morning we decided to have some breakfast in the restaurant and sat at the same table we were at the evening before and guess what?? Stillllll not been cleaned! I asked a member of staff to clean it and they wiped it over with some water and blue roll tissue, still sticky! The sausage barms were that dry that my daughter actually choked on it (luckily nothing too dramatic just a bit of coughing and spluttering) the bread was as dry as the actual Sahara! They were just awful, I’d advise giving breakfast here a miss and nipping to the harvester down the road for a all you can eat breakfast! Probably cheaper too! Also they don’t sell ‘kids drinks’ like fruit shoots/Capri sun type things so the only option for our daughter was fizzy or extremely expensive j20! We went back up to our room at 9.30 to gather the last of our things and we had a rude sour faced cleaner banging on our door for us to get out at 9.45! Nice!
Overall the room was nice, the dinosaur sleepover part was great but the actual service and organisation in the hotel is very very poor.

Amazing! We booked a last minute theme room, we went for the western cowboy theme. My little boy is 3 and he loved it! The staff were amazing and room was super clean. We had our breakfast in a bag for the following morning. I also paid extra for the movie pack which came with drinks, popcorn and sweets enough for a family of 4. We then spent a day in the park as it was stay and play. Love that they include the tickets in with the room 1 last thing to worry about. Tickets were at the park waiting for us just a short walk across from the hotel. After a long day we thought we may as well see if there was any rooms available. (Chancing it as it’s bank holiday weekend) I spoke with the manager who I believe his name is Patrick? He was amazing! Got us a room with in minutes which would be safe for my family to stay in. They follow all the correct restrictions making sure only one family use one way in and out so you never cross paths with anyone else staying at the hotel. We paid an extra £99 for the room which was was over the moon with being such short notice. It was also another themed room! But this time with a beautiful balcony! Couldn’t fault the service. The team makes sure you have a fridge and microwave so you can keep food cool and super helpful when you have a little one. Again the following day we got to go back into the park with our stay and play wrist bands. Over the moon with our stay we will 100% be back. All staff were super friendly at the hotel and in the park. 10/10 experience and will 100% recommended to all my friends

I really liked this hotel, we had a pirate themed room for 2 nights, thur-sat, the room was clean and really well decorated, we were really impressed, we also got plenty of coffee, tea, milk and sugar etc for our stay. The staff were friendly and our son loved the meet and greet the characters. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The only negative would be the other guests. The thur night was really quiet, I don’t think there were many guests at the hotel . Friday night was different. I’m not sure why people can’t just close hotel doors quietly. Lots of slamming of doors and kids banging around.. like they were jumping on the floor dancing/ bouncing a ball or something. It’s not something I’d let my child do in a hotel when I knew other guests would be below or next door but that’s just me. That’s not the hotels fault though. I think If we came again we’d come mid week to avoid the extra noise. the breakfast was a brown bag with a croissant, piece of fruit, a mini muffin and apple juice. If I could change anything I would request they put on a continental breakfast buffet instead. The restaurant area could be set up on a morning for toast, croissants, cereals etc… maybe coffee machine.. it would be a lot better than the bags. All in all though it’s a great little find for a theme park visit.

Let me start by saying my nearly 6yo daughter LOVED our stay! But the other reviews are right, the hotel is in need of a good clean I took anti bac wipes and cleaned everything incl the bar/restaurant table- every time the wipe was pretty grubby! The staff are lovely but it’s all a bit slap dash- we paid £289 for the princess suite for that u just get the room and a breakfast bag which is put in ur room the night before and includes a yoghurt??? I’m no expert but I think they should be refrigerated?!!
The bar food was fine - we had pizza and all satisfied and there were a couple of games in the evening which were fine but a kids disco would have gone down a treat! There was a scooter treasure hunt which you had to pat an extra £7 which should really be included in the price.
A good clean and a paint job and a proper breakfast included would transform the experience ..... but like I said my daughter and all the kids there absolutely loved it!!

Stayed at this hotel by a strange coincidence. Was looking for room close to Liverpool in order to attend a Karate tournament. City centre was very expensive due to John Lennon airport. booked this hotel for a family of 4. Amazing deal and until we arrived at the place did not realise that it was actually a resort and so much was planned for guests over the weekend. Milk and cookies, movie night and marshmallows....just to name a few. Kids absolutely loved the stay and sadly we could not visit the splash zone and other amusing activities around....but we are definitely going to come back. Staff were very friendly and breakfast is inclusive on some of the room rates, although we did not have it included, it is not really expensive. A good dinosaur hosted us at breakfast in the morning which was a fresh start for kids in the morning, after a 5 hr drive the previous night....in short definitely coming back in summer to have a splash :)

We recently stayed here on a stay and play with a voucher that was bought for us.
We chose to stay in the pirate themed room which I was really impressed with. It's not tacky (which I thought it would be) and the added bonus of the kids having a TV each in their little bunk room was great.
Whomever the housekeeper was needs retraining. None of the sheets on any of the beds were on right and had to be put on again. Another bugbear is that this is not a cheap stay and the breakfast bag is appalling. I would expect a continental breakfast at least. One other thing is that the chairs in the room are actually broken and could do with replacement.
There was evening entertainment which seemed ok from what we saw.
The food isn't great and rather expensive in the restaurant and the menu very small.
Also, the WiFi was not working for the entire duration of our stay and the hotel seems to be in a black hole.
All things considered we had an enjoyable stay but would definitely feel ripped off if we ourselves had paid for the stay.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the Gullivers hotel. I was a little apprehensive about what to expect from the hotel after reading mixed reviews on here but thought I would share our experience. Firstly, we thought the family suite we had booked was fantastic. The kids (6 and 4) absolutely loved the tree house bunk beds and having their own TVs and we found the room to be spacious and very clean. I am really picky when it comes to room cleanliness and previous reviews made me nervous but it was honestly all sparkling clean and fresh. We brought some fans from home as we had read it can be hot with no air con so we all slept well with those on. I think the value for money is brilliant. To get two days in the theme park, dinner, evening entertainment and breakfast all included made it feel like really good value for money. Especially considering it is the school holidays and most places charge a small fortune to stay during this time. We had a brilliant time at the evening entertainment, the staff were wonderful and also the show and dancing on the morning with breakfast was a fab start to the day. The park was extremely busy the two days we were there but the kids still had a blast and even though we have stayed at gullivers Rotherham twice and loved it,both kids said they loved gullivers world even more. We will definitely be back in the future!

Paid for 3 nights in the Princess room, this is the 3rd night & I am back home writing this review. Check in was fine, the room looks lovely when you walk in & our little girl was so happy.
The entertainment for the kids is good and their is a welcome from the mascot Gully. The food was not nice, ate their 1 night for convenience for the kids entertainment at night. They do not serve breakfast. The lift was broken, we used a ramp to get to the first floor with our pram.
The room looks clean superficially but once you start noticing the parts that’s not been cleaned properly it’s very off putting hence we left a night early. Their was brown marks on the bottom of the shower curtain and also on the sheet which was wrapped around the top of our bed. The towels had brown stains on them. They’d been washed & the stains hadn’t come out. The carpet was dirty. I went to speak to the receptionist as she was herself with a line of people waiting, we just left.
It’s a lovely building in a great location it’s just the cleanliness & food that let it down.

Where to start with this, arrived for our one night stay at the cost of £289 stay and play, it was disappointing to say the least. Walking up to reception a lot of rubbish thrown all over the place and very tired looking grounds. Checked in, we were staying at the fairy den called Blossom. The walk up was past the side of the hotel where all the dirty linen are kept was not very inviting, again rubbish everywhere and grounds not kept, grass not cut, looked quite a mess. Opened the door to blossom, first thing I noticed was the hand prints all over the inside of the door, then the floor was dirty, mud and a big clump of hair stuck to the welcome mat 🤢. It was clear the floor had not been cleaned from previous guests. Dust everywhere, some rubbish left on the sofa, stain on bathroom floor. Went down to complain, young lady on desk asked if I was ok, I explained and she walked off. A young man appeared and we took him up to the room to show him. He assured us it had been cleaned, clearly hadn't also there was no handwash in the room. If you have any concerns about Covid then stay well clear. He did clean it somewhat but still not up to standard, I tried to clean myself as much as I could. Gave us some popcorn and pepsi for the trouble. Went down later for food, two young girls not interested at all on the desk, awful customer service. Tables in restaurant not cleaned and menus had stains all over. Did not stay to eat and ordered to our room instead. Food was ok, bit over priced but arrived quickly. They also forgot the breakfast bags, which had warm yoghurt in and some other bits. Not what you expect for the price. The park itself was ok, needs some TLC but kids enjoyed the day. No social distancing in the queues, zig zag queueing does not allow and hit and miss with sanitising rides. All in all a very dissapointing stay, will not be going back again.

Not going to lie after reading some of the reviews I was very hesitant to book but did last minute when the hotel sent an option that allowed to bid for a room. I’m so glad we did the room was excellent and perfect for the kids. Staff were helpful when there was a mix up with the breakfast bags and although we didn’t use it there was evening entertainment. Don’t be put off by other reviews we had a family suite and could not fault it.

I didn’t see the splash park when we went in April and we walked around that area and we visited it once.. not much help I know.
