Yes dogs are allowed in certain guest rooms (£10/dog/night up to two dogs) and the lobby/lounge area. Not the bar or restaurant. Lovely park immediately across the road and large garden area at the hotel for late night walk.

"Rooms somewhere else will probably be your best bet"
"The family room was same price as 2 bed and had sofa and bath, though the double bed was two beds, two mattresses attached."
"Don't take your dog or you'll end up in the basement."
