The whole hotel needs some TLC. The internal architecture is beautiful but neglected. Same can be said for the rooms. My recent stay was for two nights in a double standard room. The bathroom was horrible with lots of mildew (have they heard of bleach?) and the room had certainly not been Covid cleaned. The glass top coffee table and makeup table felt dusty/sticky. I got a wad of wet toilet paper to wipe them and it was filthy. I had to do them twice before I was happy. The carpets in the corridors didn’t look like they had been vacuumed in days. The breakfast was very good as was the food served at the wedding I was attending. If I had paid full price (I had a wedding rate) I would have complained at the time. At £178 for the two nights it was still not worth the money. The terrace from the wedding room was absolutely lovely with fantastic views over the beach. All in all it would just be nice to see the group spend some much needed money on the interior decor.

Worried after reading reviews but had no need to whatsoever, we were surprised on arrival to be told we had been upgraded to a lovely Seaview room by the lovely receptionist, we loved our room it was so spacious and clean with amazing views, our little dog loved looking out the window and couldn't wait to run down to the beach on a morning, the hotel is extremely dog friendly, my dog loved it there, as did we, everywhere in the hotel smelt clean and was always spotless. The staff were all so friendly, the barman who had been there for years was so knowledgeable first class service! The waitress's were nice too can't fault any of the staff and have no complaints what's so ever the food was lovely and always plenty the hunters chicken was lush served on a bed off mash, and the shepards pie, the fish was lovely the night before and the tomato soup, the hotel is in the perfect spot lovely short dog walk down through the gardens straight to the beach, or get the lift down which is right outside the hotel, we found a good dog friendly pub called Santuary just round the corner, the hotel really is in the best spot you have all the shops pubs on your doorstep too, stayed 2 nights room no 205

What a dissapointment for such a beautiful hotel . Room cleaned on arrival we stayed 6 nights and wasn't cleaned again bins not emptied no clean towels if you required extra tea making items or toilet roll you had to ask at reception and take them up to your room. Breakfast not to bad if you went early .evening meal shocking same choice of veg which was carrots cauliflower and parsnips mixed together in the same container every night same potatoes every night meat no taste no flavour .tables not cleared as they were so short staffed. No management to complain to .such a shame as its in a lovely location but I'm afraid will never visit again shocking .

Quite possibly the worst and most dangerous hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Should be closed down. Definitely do not stay here if you have children. Aside from things like dangerous floor tiles in the bathroom (held down and covered with tape as there were sharp edges), but also the wardrobe kept falling over. The place is tired, dirty (like infection levels of dirt) and absolutely horrible. Staff do not care, management is non existent. This place needs closing ASAP.
