We stayed here the first weekend in October with a group of friends for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The food was lovely with a great menu choice. Great location, very friendly staff especially when ordering 15 drinks at the bar- thank you to Richard for keeping us all topped up. Lovely hotel.

just had a great music weekend at the Royal. The hotel is exceptionally well run and has a 'bygone' era atmosphere which we liked. The staff are very friendly and helpful and all covid regulations were strictly adhered to. The evening meals and breakfasts were excellent. As regards the two acts that were on this weekend. The Rod Stewart tribute act was excellent and certainly far better than we were expecting. The performer was very talented and will no doubt go onto bigger and better things. The '60's Angels' were OK and about the standard you'd usually expect at this sort of weekend. They certainly worked hard and were entertaining to the best of their abilities

We stayed at The Royal for one night. The hotel is beautiful building but the decor is incredibly tired. Our room and bathroom were clean and tidy. We had dinner and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Breakfast was not bad.

I had to book a room last minute in Skegness, I was pleasantly surprised to find availability on such a busy weekend within my budget. I was impressed on arrival to find plenty of parking spaces, impressive building and welcoming staff. The room was immaculate with lift access. Such a comfortable bed and a walk in shower as requested. Very clean and well designed room. Breakfast good with again a friendly welcome. I am returning again this coming weekend as so impressed with my recent stay.

Rooms were clean and well kept, however in desperate need of a refresh. Dated furniture and fittings combined with a centuries year old carpet made for an.. interesting experience. However the hotel is kept clean and is perfectly suitable for short stays (1-2 nights). During breakfast, it appeared they were quite short staffed to deal with so many people. Staff were doing there best but it would have been a smoother experience had there been some more of them. Food was as expected. Partial English breakfast including sausage, bacon, beans, egg, tomato and the usual continental stuff. Eating area was clean but the main issue was the lack of glassware and dishes for all customers. Glasses were brought out eventually when enough people had finished, and they rushed to clean them in time. Overall I didn't mind my stay here, although I wouldn't stay here for more than one or two nights.
