This hotel was superb, infact already booked for next year. Spotlessly clean, and all the staff very helpful. They even charged my husbands mobility scooter each night. Definitely would recommend. Very handy for The Bandstand, just a short walk across the road

The hotel is on the beach front. Our room had a balcony with views of the beach and in the distance the pier. The staff, despite not enough of them for the demand, were excellent. They offered friendly service and were always helpful even at busy times. The room was nice. Note, when we were there rooms were only serviced every 3 days. The food at the hotel was good. There are lots of others hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The staff were the best part of the hotel. On the downside, I’m not sure the price of the room was value for money, but I was staying in peak season with a sea view during a staycation pandemic.

Our 2nd visit to the hotel this summer. Love the seaview rooms and balconies. Have stayed in an executive room and suite. In the absence of a foreign holiday this hotel ticks all the boxes. Hotel is spacious, relaxing and well maintained. Bar food was excellent. Predominately friendly service.

Our stay at The View Hotel Eastbourne was cut short due to the lack of respect shown to those more vulnerable. All through the hotel, there are signs asking guests to consider wearing masks when moving around. Dining on our first day appeared well spaced; on the second day; however, there was a coach party dining and we were sat in the same section as them. Quite rightly being part of ‘the group’ they were not wearing masks when walking around and considering their meal was buffet they were constantly up and down leaving us feeling very uncomfortable. Another thing of note was that none of the waiting staff were wearing masks, a little confusing given the signage for guests and the fact that the reception staff who are behind screens were wearing masks as was the Duty Manager we complained to. I would have thought given the fact that waiting staff leans over tables several times through a meal putting plates and drinks in front of guests they should have masked. The hotel is meant to be a convalescing hotel, meaning several guests at any given time may be vulnerable and therefore one would expect a little extra precaution to be taken (my immune system puts me in the vulnerable category). When this was pointed out to the duty manager, we were told it was ‘my choice to travel’. Whatever happened to customer care.
