The hotel facilities are lovely and clean and the staff are super helpful and friendly. We booked bed and breakfast, there was a variety of choices every morning that did not disappoint. The pool and surrounding areas were beautiful, with fantastic views and plenty of sunbeds, they also provided clean pool towels daily, which was a nice touch. There are a few small cove beaches near by too.
The area is quiet, there are a few restaurants within walking distance but busses are cheap and regular so you can visit nearby villages. We went to Puerto Portals, Cala Major, into Palma city and took a trip to soller. The location was perfect for us, we wanted quiet and relaxing but also the option for more lively with sightseeing, all which we easily achieved.
I would definitely come back to this hotel.

The overall hotel is great, it is nice, I liked the decor, the terrace overlooking the restaurant area loved it.
I found the room spacious, had a terrace, although it overlooked an interior garden area that was in the works, but we didn't mind. The room has an open bathroom in the sink area, while the toilet and shower are separated.
Like two little details we didn't like, mention that in amenities, we used the little box that had tissues and left it on the sink counter to be taken. When we got back, the box was still there and they hadn't been replaced either. The next day, we left the box in plain sight, which they did take, although they did not replace the tissues. Another day we came back was the shower mat as we had left it, instead of being picked up like other days. It is not that we give it greater importance, we understand that it is an oversight, but it is true that in a hotel in this chain and having been in others, these small details have to be taken care of.
The first night we ordered dinner from the room service and they took an hour to upload, which we do not understand because we did not think there were many guests.
In any case, the worst is the issue of parking because on the street you can not park, there is no area to leave the car, so either leave it in the hotel car park or in one that is free and public down a good flight of stairs, although five minutes from the hotel. Its location about fifteen minutes from Palma can also be an inconvenience if you do not want to be taking the car continuously.
With regard to breakfast, I highlight it because there are very few guests at this time in November we practically enjoyed it alone or almost. We could sit on the terrace to enjoy the views without any problems waiting. Quantity and variety of foods, very well presented. I loved breakfast, which also with vegetable drinks.
Correct attention at all times.

You have to be aware, however, that the rooms are not particularly large and, above all, very thinly soundproof. We had booked the room with a direct sea view. When our room neighbor used the toilet or shower, we heard everything. Even if someone comes into the room late in the evening, you can hear the doors slamming loudly. You either accept this or go to bed very late yourself. We also booked the evening buffet in the hotel over Christmas and were very disappointed: as a vegetarian you are allowed to eat the side dishes, which tasted bland. In the evening, the restaurant looks like a canteen with its bright lighting. Zero coziness and ambience. It would have been nice if the hotel had come up with suitable decorations at least at Christmas (e.g. small candles on the table, Christmas decorations, etc.). Although we have been here several times and have always been satisfied, after our last visit we are considering whether we will book a different hotel next time.

The individual food at lunch is lovely.
The staff are first class, the pool is salt, ie less chlorine and delightful, we swam in the sea twice a day and it was perfect - appeared very clean.
There’s free Cava at breakfast and Haribo to go with your ice cream at dinner. Perfect. If you work at choosing your food, it’s lovely and the house white and rose wine is more than adequate. The beds are firm, rooms are very clean and while some people moan about the wash basin being ‘in the bedroom’, I think the bedroom design, lighting, opaque shower wall etc are all cleverly thought out.
The bus stop is directly outside and getting to and from Palma, and especially the airport was easy and cheap - bus A1 for 5 euros followed by bus 4 for 2 euros. I reckon the best rooms are any floor from 01 to 04, ie full sea view. So 101 to 104, or 201 to 204 etc. We were in 206 which was ‘partial view’ and suited us. Very relaxing stay and would go again.
We have stayed with Barcelò in other places and are fans of the loyalty programme but this hotel didn’t quite meet expectations, I think we have been spoilt by previous stays elsewhere.
Contacting the hotel before our arrival with questions went unanswered, I tried 2 different email addresses and 2 phone numbers. No one replied to my emails not answered the phone.
On arrival at the hotel, we were not offered a welcome drink as other guests have, despite us being in the higher level loyalty category.
The room was spacious and clean, we were in a superior side sea view, although we couldn’t see much of the sea due to a very large (and beautiful!) tree obscuring the view.
The bed is huge but mattress very firm and pillows not the best quality. I had 2 uncomfortable nights sleep. The third night was better thanks to some sangria!
We also didn’t use the balcony at all as we were overlooked and had clear view in to next doors bedroom.
There was a lot of noise from building work nearby and other guests banging doors in the hallways.
The hotel itself is fine for a base. We were half board but only had dinner one night as it didn’t look great, a lot of the dishes were not labelled (or incorrectly labelled) and the temperature of the food was a bit concerning.
Breakfast was good, we had fresh omlettes each day.
The spa/wellness centre was highly disappointing, the stairs mentioned in previous reviews have been fixed but the handrail in and out of the very tiny 3 person, salt water jacuzzi was still wobbly.
The steam room smelt unpleasant and mouldy so we didn’t use this, the sauna was also very small and wasn’t the most relaxing experience.
Staff were all helpful and friendly, always someone on reception and lots of housekeeping staff around.
Overall, the hotel suited our needs for a base to sleep whilst we explored the island. If we were to return, it would only be for a couple of nights on a bed and breakfast basis only.

The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean, with a very large bed. Small downside: there is no real bathroom, but rather an open bathroom area with sink, toilet and shower, so not great for privacy. Not necessarily super annoying for a couple, but otherwise, not ideal.
The food is nothing exceptional for a 4 star, but in any case, the breakfast buffet offers a wide enough choice for all desires. The restaurant terrace upstairs with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the sea will allow you to enjoy your meals even better in spring and summer.
I would just advise the managers to add a microwave in the restaurant room. The dishes that are supposed to be hot are lukewarm and we have to ask the waiters to reheat them. It's not a big deal but hey, it would still be more practical for everyone in my opinion.
The line 4 bus passes by the hotel and takes you to Palma de Mallorca in 35 minutes for 2€, so if you are planning a quiet stay with few visits, you don't even need a car. You can also get to Illetas beach very easily with this bus, or even on foot in 20 minutes.
The staff is pleasant and for those who struggle with English and Spanish, there is at least one receptionist and one housekeeper who speaks French, at least as of the date I post this review. The little extra: a meal tray with bread, cheese, tomatoes and cold meats served in the room if you arrive late, frankly it's cool!
A hotel that might please you if you are looking for tranquility and comfort in a peaceful area while being close to Palma de Mallorca.
