Stepping into THE THIEF is sure to rob you of something. Something familiar and shall we say, enslaving at times. And the thing is that the hotel is so good at it… that you might not notice until the ...Moreend. You suddenly find yourself engaged in a world of new impressions: cutting-edge art, architecture and world-class gastronomy. And then it hits you, what’s been stolen from you…you haven’t had a single thought about your very long to-do list, the responsibilities at home, the everyday worries. Came in out of the wind (and then the rain), sat by the fire. Very comfortable. Lovely friendly bar man. Had really good cocktails, they are based on artwork in the Astrup Fearnley Museum. All explained to us. Followed up with Thief beer. Recommend
We have a simple rule for scoring a hotel, especially one at this price point: If you ask staff a question, the only answer you want to hear is "YES". That describes The Thief to a tee. Sumptuous rooms (will the bathroom fit in my...More

The room you stay in has no bearing on the cost.
The pool/spa charges were 195 NOK Mon - Fri and 395 NOK Sat-Sun.
It is a nice spa with pool, turkish bath, steam room and swedish sauna, fresh fruits and juices are provided.

I like The Thief much more compared to the Grand Hotel. It may be worth mentioning that The Thief is a very modern hotel of this time, while the Grand Hotel is more a classic old fashion kind of hotel. I didn’t like the rooms at the Grand Hotel. Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience staying at Hotel Continental.
My personal rating out of 10 for the rooms:
The Thief: 9
The Grand Hotel: 6
