Starting from our booking, our special requests were granted and we were actually assigned rooms next to each other and close to elevator which was a thoughtful gesture since we were 2 families travelling together. Room was clean (carpet as well) and the size was good even with a pack-n-play. King bed was one mattress and very comfortable and the pack n play sheets were actually colorful. Coffee/tea making facilities were in good condition and restocked daily. Bathroom was clean, had ample lightning, shower pressure was good and amenities include a hairdryer. We also used room service wich was prompt and efficient, food was freshly made and served warm. The property is located on a very quiet street, next to a park with a playground, ideal to entertain young kids, and a short walk to the train station. A super market is a 5 min walk from the hotel. The only thing we would comment is the fact that it is a 20 min walk to the center of Salzburg so that is something to consider if you would like something closer. It is however a pleasant and safe walk that we enjoyed since we had mostly sunny days while in Salzburg. Parking is on-site with an additional fee. Overall we had a very decent experience and we would stay here again.

This hotel is small but comfortable, and is about a 20 minute walk to the City Centre. It is within easier walking distance of tram and bus stops, and the public transport is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. The hotel rooms are reasonably well appointed and the breakfast is pretty good. You get a kettle and tea bags but, like everywhere else in Austria, they give you powdered milk instead of the real stuff. That's a very minor gripe and we found the hotel ideal for a quiet stay in this beautiful city.

This was the first time that we have stayed in Salzburg. The hotel reception was friendly and helpful, the position is good, within 10 mins walk to Mirabelle and 20 to the old town. The room was good overlooking to park. Parking was easy, overground or underground same price. Breakfast was excellent, good choice hot and cold. Two minor quibbles restaurant and bar were underused by residents for dinner and/or drinks and staff were not always present or available to deal with customers (one group gave up and bought drinks from reception). For some reason my booking went thriugh as 1 person B+B when it should have been 2. I added a my wife at €27 per night assuming this was B+B because normally a room is a room and was charged extra for her breakfast.

The hotel is well situated for most things with a small walk.
Train station is very close and can connect you with a variety of places both local and further afield
The reception at the hotel has a very pleasant team who will always do their best to help ( my only feedback is they were remiss in telling me on arrival some key things breakfast, restaurant times; the WiFi and checkout times) all of which I was able to resolve quickly
The room (a double superior) is spacious well layed out and has all the things you would expect. (*There is no iron in the room)
Bed is reasonably comfortable however you only get 1 pillow (more are available from reception) the room has a fridge, kettle & coffee machine.
The breakfast is a good spread with both continental & hot food .
The restaurant when we were there wasn’t particularly busy however the food and service were excellent
It is a hotel that I would use again

Stayed for a couple of nights in September.
Hotel is situated about a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre, a cab back from town cost us about 7 EURO. Parking is available at the side of the building, there is a barrier so is only partially secure, but we had no problems.
Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room itself was of a reasonable size, has been modernised and was clean, same for the bathroom.
We used the restaurant one evening, the food was good if a little pricey, but the service from the bar/restaurant staff was excellent even though they were very busy. We didn't have breakfast here so unable to comment.
Would stay again.

Its an average hotel, room not much different then in the states. When we checked in staff was friendly and english speaking which was great because our German is limited. Not a bad location for sight seeing and there was a shuttle from the hotel for a tour we took. One of the best things is the breakfast offered to guest. The variety is great, eggs my daughter in law was able to have an omelette made to her specific want, variety of cereals, yogurts, breads, sweets, meats and cold cuts. PLUS I was able to get ice! Staff was wonderful!!

The most unhelpful and rude reception staff I have ever come across. The staff have no idea what customer service is, the gentleman checking us in just wanted to do everything in a rush. He was running around trying to check us in as well as help his colleague. Clearly his colleague wasn’t trained in doing her job so he had to help her which confused matters even more.
I booked a day trip through the hotel, that was just as difficult as check in. Nothing was made clear about what we needed or time of pick up. Lucky I did my own research and realised I needed ID for this trip.
Would I stay at this hotel again, definitely not, would I consider staying at another Mercure Hotel, probably not. Our room had a very odd smell too and you can’t sleep with the windows open because people outside make a noise very early in the morning. Our room wasn’t cleaned until about 4pm everyday during our stay, this was the time we’d like to get ready before heading back out for dinner.
I’ve travelled to many cities/countries and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

Extremely friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast was great and offered a broad range of selections. The room was a bit small and dated, even by European standards, and the WiFi was almost non-existent apart from in the lobby. Parking is available on-site which helps because it's a short drive to most of the major attractions.

We booked 2 rooms via Accor ALL Family 50% off second room offer as we travelled as 2 adults and 2 kids. The rooms are decent-sized and comfortable. It is 5 minute walk from Salzburg Central Station and 10 minute walk from Old Town.

We were provided 4 welcome drinks vouchers as Gold member, as well as a welcome fruit/chocolate platter. Very happy with the stay, and will stay there again in the future.

Qualification, hitherto happy and loyal Mercure/Accor Group member since 92, very fortunate global traveller, chose Salzburg for Christmas market experience (7th to 10th December) and history because there is an Accor Hotel here. Booked mid year, arrived with room given away, so down graded, but given free breakfast (these things happen), agreeable. Had to remind reception that Accor members entitled to free welcome drink, unusual. Asked for 2 extra pillows, upon 4th visit to reception, eventually secured 1, too tired to argue for another, disappointing. Had 2 encounters with gentleman on night duty Reception (including Pillow gate), call me old fashioned, but to me Reception responsibility is huge, you are the face and impression of the Hotel, if you want a beard, grow one or shave, if you are wearing a tie, it's done up, if you are wearing a shirt with a uniform, it's tucked in, when you are approached by guests you look up, smile, ask how you can help, everything this chap is clearly incapable of achieving, which we found so bad, we laughed. These silly negative experiences were a real shame because the room was clean, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed, our encounters with Housekeeping, Breakfast and Bar Team and the daytime Reception Team and Trainees could not have been more delightful. Salzburg was our favourite Christmas experience, stunning city, fascinating history (do a walking tour) and this Hotel is nicely located a 10 minute walk to the river, quiet, safe and really very nice, but someone needs some training or re-training at being on night Reception!

There is a deck below the hotel and behind, but I think they are operated independently from the lodging. There were always plenty of openings during our stay.

As I recall there is a electronic safe in the room, you set the passcode so no problems. Also I'd be confident to say this hotel is very safe but obviously always take the normal precautions.
