At Louis Imperial Beach, guests often commend the warm atmosphere and vibrant entertainment, although some areas show signs of age. The hotel's beachfront charm and multiple swimming options receive positive mentions, yet there's a call for modernization. While the cleanliness standards are high, the value proposition is questioned due to perceived outdated facilities and extra costs. Nevertheless, the location is a highlight, offering scenic coastal walks and proximity to Paphos town. Room conditions are generally clean but are criticized for being dated. The service, however, consistently earns accolades for its exceptional and attentive staff.

We’ve just returned from another blissful week at the Louise imperial Hotel. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to ensure that you have a wonderful stay.

There are two large pools: one is known as the quiet pool and the other welcomes children and inflatables. I took part in a morning aerobics class with Mimo who is like a rocket of energy and makes the class great fun. I would highly recommend it!!

A special thanks to the manager Chris who it was a pleasure to meet again and who checked in on us an almost daily basis to ensure we had everything we needed, to Elena for being the most thoughtful and kind human, to Mr Christakis for bringing a cheeky smile to breakfast every day, to all the catering staff for providing unbeatable food every time, and in general to all the staff that made our stay superb. You did not go unnoticed.

Be prepared, you will go up a dress size by the time you leave because it’s simply impossible to not take advantage of all the beautiful and varied food on offer.

There is a little library with a huge selection of books which other holiday makers have left behind so no need to bring to many books with you.

We went between the 9-15th of October and we enjoyed 28-30 degrees daily. The temperature was a little cooler in the evening but it did not require any extra layers. The hotel was much quieter this time round (the last time we went was in August after all!) and there were plenty of sun loungers to go around with no need to secure one first thing in the morning. We stayed in a family room which was kept spotless by the housekeeping on a daily basis and the fridge was also continuously replenished. Like some people say, the hotel is a little dated, but having said that, the paintwork is still pristine, the maintenance is up to date, and because everything is kept so clean and tidy, it’s not really a big issue.

We visited the local cat sanctuary in Tala which is worth a visit if you’re an animal lover. It’s free to visit and has hundreds of abandoned cats but please do bring cat food or a donation if you can as they are financially stretched to the limit.

Along the seafront, there are plenty of independent places where you can book jet skis, water skis, you name it. If you turn left at the seafront and walk a few minutes along, there is also a lovely lady who offers hair braiding and hair wraps.

We booked the hotel direct with no need for travel agents and arranged our own flights.
You can drop an email to the hotel and they will arrange transfer from the airport at a cost of €30 each way.

Thanks again to everyone at the Louis Imperial Hotel and see you again next time!

Where do you start to sing the praises of the Imperial Beach, my wife and I have been going to the Imperial for over 12 years barring the lock down. When you walk through the front entrance you can feel the warmth and friendliness of the place, the place is spotless throughout and i mean throughout, the staff from the cleaners (and there are plenty of them) right up to top management make a point of welcoming you into their family atmosphere, its truly amazing. The rooms are comfortable, if you need extra pillows, blankets or anything just ask and it will be sorted, the range of food is amazing there is always something to suit every ones taste, if you have any allergies there is always a chef present to escort you round the dining room and point out any food that is not suitable for your allergy and again the restaurant staff are amazing. The two pool areas again are spotless and equipped with enough sun lounger for all, as well as plenty of grass areas and a small private beach area equally equipped, in your room on arrival you are left a beech towel for each guest to be used on your stay and you can change them every two days for fresh clean ones.

Truly a fabulous gem, as all other guests agree, judging by the amount re-visitors we spoke too, plus new ones vowing to return.

Amazing stay at an amazing hotel (please note by amazing I do mean amazing). Just returned from 10 nights in Pathos and this hotel provided a memorable stay in the beautiful and friendly country of Cyprus. The quality starts from the top with the manager Chris ably supported by Phillip and their high standards run all the way down through the hotel from the chefs providing high quality and great variety of food, the waiters and waitresses cheerfully looking after you at your table, the cleaning staff maintaining a spotlessly clean hotel building and the bar staff supplying endless drinks. Location wise, a promenade provides 2 lovely walks along the coastline to either the harbour area at Pathos or in the opposite direction to a delightful small church. If you do not want to walk to the harbour there is a regular bus service (611) leaving from outside Tea for Two a short walk from the hotel.
Highly recommended hotel.

We have just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel.

The reviews for the Hotel are so good, we was very excited to get there, now this is my opinion and no reflection to anyone else holiday just mine.

My opinion is this is not a 4*hotel

Positive note Ahmed around the Pool serving us was 100% 5* he remembered all our names very polite and attentive. Alice in the reception Bar 100% great service and a good laugh.

The food was very good. There was only one night where I didn't like the food but otherwise no faults.

Negatives for me, the quiet pool around the filters and edge of the pool was very dirty with bird poo, and tissues for 3 days. The only reason we stay around that side is because of the service from ahmed.

When we arrived at 11:50pm we were not informed about the hotel at all. We didn't know where the dining room was or anything. We had to just find out for ourselves. Unfortunately, not much info was given at all.

Now the big deal breaker for us was the aircon in the communal areas which we found was ridiculous. The dining area was unbearable most nights we had to eat and run as it was far to hot to enjoy because of the heat. I feel aircon in these areas are a must. The sunbeds was madness. 5:30am most beds gone around the main pool. We got to the point of if you can't beat them join them.

I feel most reviews are from regular returners and like I have previously stated everyone to their own opinion but I would not return to this hotel.

Food 4/5
Service Ahmed 5/5 but one staff girl in the main pool was quite abrupt & non existent around the pool 1/5
Rooms 3/5
Aircon communal Aras 0/5 in the room 5/5
Cleanliness pool side 2/5
Cleanliness inside areas 5/5
Location 4/5
Massage in the spa 5/5

This is my personal opinion. Paphos is a beautiful area and the water park with the kids was so much fun.

I read reviews religiously before I came to this hotel and they were very mixed, I feel I want to give a detailed and balanced review of our experience here. My feeling is that it is wrong to be marketed as modern and as a 4* plus hotel. It falls short on both counts, by no means did we have a horrible time but do feel resentful at the money that we have paid. The food is good and varied although a 4* hotel should have a two week rotation of food rather than a one week in my opinion, the introduction of more air con into the restaurant was a bonus although I think it could be cleaned more effectively, the base of the tables could be cleaned for example and sometimes things that were on the floor in the evening service are there at breakfast. The previous reviews had us panicking about air con in rooms and so I brought fans with us, but actually the room air con was fine as long as we kept it on all day and the curtains were shut. For me, the biggest downfall is the cleanliness. Other people describe this hotel as immaculate but this has not been our experience, we arrived to a bathroom that was not cleaned which is not befitting of a 4* plus hotel. The cleaners each day change/ make the beds but the floors and balconies are not cleaned, the mirrors are not cleaned either. Other hotels we have been in, once cleaned it’s like checking in to a fresh room each evening when we go up which isn’t the case here. The pool area isn’t cleaned, in other hotels we have stayed at the pool area is refreshed for the next day- the floors hosed down etc but here spilled drinks are left etc. We found many of the outdoor areas a bit grubby- which could be personal preference and based on 4* experiences we have had had elsewhere. We haven’t had the experience of the staff that others have described, that’s not to say they are unpleasant it may be that we just haven’t had those type of positive interactions that previous reviews have raved about. At times the staff are quite rude to each other in front of guests. The pool drink service is a great idea and it’s one of my favourite aspects when it works, the first few days the service was regular and polite. The last couple of days we have been asked if we want a drink perhaps once and sometimes twice in the whole day which is a shame. Sunbeds around the pool are comfy but people do reserve early- although I think this is common in many hotels. The WiFi is great, which is good for our older child. Paphos is lovely but the walk is a bit longer than advertised, but still lovely in the evening breeze. Not the hotel’s fault but the cove/ beach in front of the hotel is rocky and not very pleasant to be in so will definitely need water shoes to be comfortable. The hotel rooms are dated, but the investment of money required would absolutely stretch into the millions and the hotel may not be in the position to invest that- but I wanted to be honest, as if you are looking for modern and spacious, this isn’t the hotel for you. The area outside the front of the hotel is unpleasant- again not the hotel’s fault. I think this review is about moderating expectations, if we had paid 2 or 3k less and booked a 3*+ we would be delighted with what this hotel has to offer but for what we have paid and how at odds this hotel is with what is advertised, I don’t think we would return.

As we walked through the door we were shown to a seat and given a registration form whilst our luggage was taken away to our room. A waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink. A very efficient and welcome to the hotel.
We had a family room for the two of us with mountain views and, although there was an office block in the way, we could see the mountains in the distance. It had a king size bed with a dressing table and mirror, 2 sofa beds and plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. There was a shower over the bath and loads of hot water although the pressure was a little low on our requested top floor room. There was soap and shower gel on the wall, a hairdryer and razor point. The T.V. only had 2 English programmes, BBC News and a French news channel with some English films at night. The room also had a quiet a/c unit. There was a real kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and milk as well as a fridge with water and soft drinks refreshed daily.
The hotel was very quiet as all the corridors were carpeted although the fact that there was a large amount of guests in the 60+ age group may have helped that.
The restaurant is unfortunately like a canteen with Formica topped tables, paper napkins and only one set of cutlery. There was always a varied choice of food, surely everyone could find something to eat. The salad bar was the same every day and not really exciting. As usual with most hotel buffets the food was only warm but there was a microwave for those like me who prefer hot food to be hot.
Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold food although some of the fruit was tinned. Both lunch and dinner always had a number of choices, not just chips with everything and well cooked.
There are two speciality restaurants, one a burger bar and the other a Japanese fusion but we didn't try them so I cannot comment.
In the large grounds there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols, both around the pools and the grassed areas. There are 4 pools, a children's and a large pool where the activities and music happen, an adult only indoor pool and another quiet pool which doesn't allow inflatables or diving. Very civilised.
The waitresses are constantly moving around the sunbeds ensuring everyone had drinks all day.
A big thumbs up for the staff. They were friendly and attentive all the time. Special thanks to Alica by the quiet pool and Alicja in the main bar even though she did tick us off for drinking the prosecco that was for the new arrivals! All the staff deserve a big pat on the back for their attitude to guests.
The entertainment was very average with the best thing (for us) was the violinist in the main bar once a week. One night we had a parrot show, perfect for children but there were only 2 in the audience so I felt sorry for the entertainer.
Overall a very good hotel, a 30 minute walk to Paphos harbour although there is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the front of the hotel. Just a few small things stop it being a 5 star for me.

We have recently returned home from the Louis Imperial, having visited for my daughter's 18th birthday. We arrived very late/early hours of the morning and they had provided sandwiches in our room. Yes the rooms are slightly dated but that hasn't affected our holiday at all. The beds are really comfortable and we had great nights sleep. The view from the balcony out over the sea was beautiful.
We mainly stayed at the main pool for the music and aqua aerobics but we did spend a day at the quiet pool which is also very nice. The beach, although small, is really nice to have a dip in the sea and watching the sunset from there is magical.
The food at this hotel is the best we've both ever tasted! We visited the Japanese and burger restaurant too, the food quality is amazing in all the restaurants as are the cocktails.
The staff, they are what make this hotel such a special place in my opinion (as well as the food!). Nothing was too much trouble, they are all really friendly. The room was kept spotless, the restaurant staff work so hard making sure things are cleared away quickly, bringing drinks etc.
On my daughters 18th birthday they had decorated the room for her when we returned from the pool that day, flowers, champagne, balloons and a special birthday cushion. In the restaurant that night they had arranged a birthday cake, a large candle and sang to her. They really do go above and beyond to make you feel special.
We both agreed that we weren't ready to leave by the end of our week, we would have loved to have stayed longer.
Will we be back to this wonderful hotel - you bet!

Spent 11 nights here with my husband and daughters aged 12 & 17.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, paid for a sea view which was well worth it. Air con in rooms, not great but we managed. Shower hot but not all that powerful. Take your own hair drier ladies, bathroom one is useless!! Beds comfortable, mini bar stocked each morning with Pepsi, 7up and water.
Buffet great, lots of Greek options, salads were a highlight. Breakfast usual mix of cooked/continental, whole family was happy!
Two restaurants Japanese and burger pre bookable but included in All Inc.
Drinks decent for all inclusive, Keo beer, wine, cocktails and iced coffees with added Baileys if you wish 😋
Evening entertainment as expected, day time activities kept the kids busy!
Highlight is the beautiful location, we sat on grassed area each day, sunbeds not an issue if you are up 8-9am. This area also has waiter service drinks, which is a real bonus. The young waiter Lorenzo is exemplary, so polite and friendly!
Lots of water sports at the adjacent beach (extra charge).
Hotel 15-20 mins walk along sea front to Paphos harbour, very pleasant, we ran or walked this route most days!
Water park just a mile away and well worth visiting.
3 pools all nice and clean 1 loud, 1 quiet and an indoor which is a lot cooler, so refreshing when you get too hot as main pools are like baths!
I also treated myself to 2 massages at the spa, which were both superb, done by 2 different therapists.
Only criticism is air con could be better, also communal corridors are carpeted and dark, very dated and hot!!
All staff are so lovely and really make this hotel.
Overall I would recommend. Cyprus is beautiful and Paphos is lively without being rowdy!

We stayed here for 10 nights at the start of September 2024.

The location is quite good. About a 15/20 minute walk from the harbour and a similar drive from the hotel.

The food is excellent with a lot of options and allergens labelled on a board (the chef will also confirm). However, the breakfast could do with some alternatives as it gets very boring very quickly.

The pools are clean and tidy without any of the crumbling masonry you sometimes get.

The rooms are nice with the best hotel beds I've ever slept in - albeit the pillows are awful.

Where it REALLY falls down is in the air con. The air con in the room is pathetic and even in the high 20s it was very warm inside.

The air con in the lifts/common areas/restaurant toilets etc is APPALLING. It is SERIOUSLY hot and I don't know how people cope in mid summer - read other recent reviews on Google to confirm.

For a supposed 4 star hotel you get an awful TV selection with no smart connectivity (netflix etc). There are also only about 2 plug sockets which means only one of you can charge their phone by the bed - come on, it's 2024!

There are also some areas where it looks tired. The windows of the main view points clearly haven't been cleaned in years and the lifts are awful.

The staff though are absolutely superb. You really couldn't ask for better.

Fix the air con, clean the common areas and add more plug sockets and it would be brilliant.

Just returned from having the most amazing family holiday, we really could not fault anything about our stay, as soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted by the guest services manager Bianca, very welcoming, professional, she was always present & accessible to all guests. The hotel was spotless, clean, ALL of the staff work incredibly hard and hold themselves to a high standard. The food choice was incredible, one of our daughters is Gluten free and the chef was always on hand to run through what was and what wasn't gluten free, the food was always fresh, beautifully presented, the dining room always clean, great service, we were quickly seated and served drinks, but we never felt rushed. The rooms were modern, clean, the air con worked well, i know some people have complained in some reviews, but we never had an issue, we had a sea view so full sun, if the curtains were closed in the day it kept the room cooler so when you entered it didn't take long for the air con to work, the hotel has a very green and environmental ethos, so not having the air con blasting away while the room is empty is understandable. The serving staff were always well presented, very polite and always did their best to ensure that you were looked after whether in the hotel, pool side or on the beach, we especially want to thank Mohmoud, he made a point to get to know our names, always greeted us with the biggest smile, polite, informative about the hotel and surrounding area, places of interest etc always ensured that we were taken care of, he worked hard to ensure that all guests in the area he worked had everything they needed.
It's understandable why people return year on year, it really is a lovely hotel, the best All inclusive we have stayed in, we plan to return next year.
